Success stories with slow and low hcg?

anothermiracle · 22/09/2021 17:15

My 3 beta hcg levels (48 hours apart) have been 48, 70, and 92.

Trying to stay positive but it's difficult after the last 2 transfers resulted in chemical pregnancies.

I don't feel like we have good chances here, but maybe there is someone else who's been through this and came out with a healthy baby.

Also happy to share stories that didn't turn out well. I guess, more than anything, just looking for others who have gone through this.

Thank you Smile

Been there… first beta was about 78 next was about 168 but still resulted in a loss at 8 week :( sorry your going thru this

anothermiracle · 22/09/2021 22:23

I'm so sorry you went through this. I do feel like my cycle will very likely end as well. It's very disheartening. This will be my third miscarriage in a row. I hope we both find success

I also had slowly creeping up HCG at 5 weeks, lost the baby at 8 weeks 😢 hardest 3 weeks ever. Sorry you're having a tough time Flowers

Galgal15 · 23/09/2021 21:02

Hi @anothermiracle, i'm sorry you are going through this. My experiences of slow/low hcg have not ended positively. I've had 3 unsuccessful pregnancies, all with low and/or slow hcg, including one where i had a hb at 8 weeks but miscarried at 9. My one successful pregnancy had fast rising hcg so its always been a good indicator for me. I hope you have a different outcome but wanted to be honest about my experience Flowers

@shazzz1xx I can completely understand why you wouldn't want to go through it again. It is so emotional and stressful. And it's incredibly hard to put yourself through it knowing there is no guarantee that things will work out the way you hoped.

@LovesFood1987 I can only imagine how difficult it was to go through all that time waiting and wondering what will happen. The waiting is the worst part of this whole journey I think

@Galgal15 my gut believes that my experience will end the same way yours did. It would be so nice to be the exception to the rule and have things end positively, but my prior experiences with infertility and loss has taught me that people rarely get good news when something abnormal is happening. I'm really sorry you've gone through this as well. It really sucks

Latest update: my Beta is up to 162.

OP posts:
LovesFood1987 · 24/09/2021 18:04

Was that after 48 hours? Keep in all my fingers and toes crossed for you Flowers

anothermiracle · 25/09/2021 00:17

@LovesFood1987 unfortunately no. 72 hours. Thank you so much for any positive thoughts you are sending our way. Smile we can use as much positive energy as we can get ❤️

Hcg is up to 594, showing the first normal increase. Gestational sac and yolk sac are there, but measuring small. Doctor said to be cautiously optimistic.

I'm going to continue to update this thread so someone searching for it in the future can find out what happened in my particular case since so many threads never include whether they resulted in a healthy baby or a m/c

That's great news! Praying all will be well, please do keep us posted.

anothermiracle · 29/09/2021 18:43

@Galgal15 thank you so much. We need all of the prayers and positivity for this little one. 🤞 It would be so amazing if this was our rainbow baby, but I know we aren't out of the woods yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers. Went for my ultrasound today at 6+5. Baby is measuring at 6+0, so behind. Heart rate is good and strong though at 113. I didn't get a clear picture from the doctor about what our chances are of everything turning out okay, but I will say that I am super pleased baby is growing and has a strong heart rate. I can't tell you how much is means to have support online and in person. Thank you ♥️

I realize today that I don't think I'll feel okay about this pregnancy until after the first trimester, maybe 20 weeks, if we are lucky enough to make it there. Despite going through multiple negative IVF rounds and multiple early miscarriages, I really think this is the hardest thing I've been through so far because it is never clearly good news or bad news so we are constantly in this grey, murky space not knowing what to think. I know I'll make it no matter what, but it's excruciatingly difficult.

I didn't buy anything for my baby until past 30 weeks, and that was without any cause to worry. I never knew my hcg levels because my clinic never once checked them. I'm glad they didn't!

Sorry you're going through this. I really hope your baby continues to grow at a normal rate. I think I remember my clinic wanted the baby to measure within 7 days?? Did your clinic say anything similar? By the time it gets to later in the pregnancy, 5 days isn't much at all. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

anothermiracle · 22/10/2021 18:11

I am still pregnant. 9 weeks today. Baby measures a few days behind though. Fetal heart rate was 167. Hcg level this week was 33,377. Despite this amazing news, I am still very cautious about believing that we are fine now. But I do have hope. And that is something.

OP posts:
anothermiracle · 22/10/2021 18:14

@Holskey I'm glad your clinic didn't test too. I've said multiple times that if we weren't already doing fertility treatments we wouldn't know anything beyond that I'm pregnant and in some ways it would be easier.

I may end up being similar to yourself in that I won't feel a little more at ease and able to plan until the third trimester, if I am lucky enough to get that far.

That doctor didn't tell me I could be behind and be fine but I also think that the doctor has been incredibly concerned because of how strange all of my test results have been. I would have normally been discharged from the fertility clinic to the regular doctor office by now, but they are keeping me with the fertility clinic for now to ensure things are progressing the way they want

This is an amazing update, @anothermiracle. I know you won't be celebrating yet. In 3 weeks you'll be 12 weeks pregnant, and whilst it will probably go very slowly, you're getting further along with every day. One milestone at a time Flowers

Betsyboo87 · 22/10/2021 19:26

That’s positive news! I really hope everything continues to go well.

loulou2021 · 22/10/2021 21:27

This is great news! Fingers crossed it all continues this way! x
