Success stories with slow and low hcg?

anothermiracle · 22/09/2021 17:15

My 3 beta hcg levels (48 hours apart) have been 48, 70, and 92.

Trying to stay positive but it's difficult after the last 2 transfers resulted in chemical pregnancies.

I don't feel like we have good chances here, but maybe there is someone else who's been through this and came out with a healthy baby.

Also happy to share stories that didn't turn out well. I guess, more than anything, just looking for others who have gone through this.

Thank you Smile

Wow @anothermiracle, that is a very positive update! Wishing you the very very best of luck Flowers When will they scan you again?

anothermiracle · 23/10/2021 11:42

@Galgal15 thank you very much ☺️ I will go in for another scan at the fertility clinic next Wednesday and then for a scan at the OB the following Wednesday.

May I ask what your experience was when you miscarried with low and slow hcg? Was baby showing normal signs of growth prior to miscarrying? Trying to prepare myself for both good and bad outcomes. Thank you ❤️

@Holskey thank you so much. You were right. It goes so slowly and also surprisingly fast. I never thought I would make it this far and feel lucky to keep going ☺️

Hi @anothermiracle, my hcg was actually quite high starting off (800ish at first beta) but it never doubled in 48 hours, it was only going up maybe 50% each time. In my pregnancy where i miscarried at 9 weeks, baby was measuring about a week behind all the time. I saw hb for first time at 8 weeks, none at 6 or 7 weeks. They didn't tell me heart ratw. Your situation now sounds much more positive than mine so i'd be feeling cautiously optimistic in your shoes. Good they are scanning regularly and hope you continue to get good news.

anothermiracle · 23/10/2021 16:17

@Galgal15 it was so kind of you to share your story. Thank you. That must have been so difficult to go through, particularly after hearing a heartbeat and making it that far.

Cautiously optimistic is kind of what I was thinking I should be for now too for the foreseeable future

I forgot to update this for some time now, but I am still pregnant. 16 weeks and 1 day. Everything seems to be going well. I'll feel better after the 20 week appointment when I get a lot more detailed information regarding how the baby is developing.

Shazzz1xx · 11/12/2021 15:07

anothermiracle · 11/12/2021 18:14

@shazzz1xx thank you!! 🥰 I truly can't believe it, but am so happy! How fun that you had a private ultrasound to find out early! We've been considering one as well, partially to find out and as a good excuse to see the baby again ☺️

@anothermiracle

Hi, we are in a similar position, please if you don’t mind can you tell me how it went?

anothermiracle · 13/12/2021 21:16

@SunsetIntheHighlands
I'm sorry to hear you are going through the same thing. It is so emotionally trying and nerve wracking. All of the specifics are in this chain, but the summary is:

My hcg wasn't doubling every 48 hours, but it was increasing at a faster rate after each beta.

The doctors were concerned about an ectopic pregnancy, but the pregnancy was where it was supposed to be.

My doctor still gave me a poor prognosis, saying that I had about a 10 to 20% chance of NOT miscarrying.

I fully prepared myself to miscarry, but week after week I would find out that baby was growing and that hcg numbers were looking better and better.

At 10 weeks I graduated from the fertility clinic.

I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant. So far so good. This baby is a true miracle.

In 2 days, I go for my 16 week checkup and am keeping my fingers crossed for good news.

I am sending all the positive vibes I can your way and hoping that maybe you have a little miracle of your own in the making. ❤️

Hello All! I wanted to update this chain and share that I gave birth to a healthy baby girl one week and 3 days ago! It is absolutely possible to have slow and low hcg in the beginning and still take home your rainbow baby. Best wishes to all of you ❤️❤️❤️
