I've got a blood test in the morning @Cream123 so just waiting for that. I absolutely cannot face testing at home😢

VenusStarr · 26/10/2021 09:35

Official home test day is Friday. I did get a late bfp in my fresh cycle, so probably will check in that day, if its negative tomorrow.

bluepixie · 26/10/2021 09:36

@VenusStarr keeping it all crossed for u will check back in am for ur news xxx

VenusStarr · 26/10/2021 09:39

❤️ I won't hear the result until late afternoon @Cream123 dreading the call. But I'm just full of fear anyway. But thank you xxx

Dochas121 · 26/10/2021 13:37

Hi all,

Best of luck today @Janefx40 I hope it isn’t as painful as you think and either way it is all done and dusted today. Hope you can rest up for the rest of the day once it’s done.

Massive good luck tomorrow @VenusStarr I am feeling nervous on your behalf! I absolutely hate testing. We are also planning to wait for HCG.

My scan today went well thank god!!!! So nerve wracking. I have a triple pattern and lining is 9.7 so waiting on my clinic to call me with next steps which hopefully will be transfer next week.

How’s everyone else doing?

VenusStarr · 26/10/2021 18:12

Thank you @Dochas121 I've basically eaten my emotions today and not been productive at all. But not as anxious or tearful as I have been.

Good news about your lining 🤞 for your transfer plan.

Hope it went well @Janefx40 x

Gardenlady543 · 26/10/2021 18:29

Hi @Janefx40 how did it go?

@Dochas121 Woop that's great news about the lining!

Hope you're coping ok @VenusStarr and good luck for tomorrow.

I'm POAS daily and seeing a constant BFN and waiting for my period for CD1 of the FET. I'm expecting it on Wednesday.

Dochas121 · 26/10/2021 18:49

@VenusStarr I’ve decided chocolate is now an essential part of FET. Too stressful trying to deal with it all and no treats! So if that worked for you today then that’s good. Really hoping you get good news tomorrow!

Thanks both re lining. Nearly started to cry in the appointment no doubt from the stress of the last two weeks. Going to try be more zen for the next week!

@Gardenlady543 great you are getting going soon for your FET.

Am I the only one who doesn’t do pregnancy tests? I’d say I’ve done about 5 in the 4 years we’ve been TTC and two were for IVF transfers. First my periods would arrive like clockwork, then I just resigned myself to how it won’t happen naturally so I just wait if it’s a day or two late 🤷‍♀️ It always shows up!!

How are you doing this week @GardenLady543 ? Hope you’re ok.

VenusStarr · 26/10/2021 19:26

I've done a million pregnancy tests over our 4 years ttc, blind hope in the beginning and then multiple pregnancy losses testing back to negative 😢 and funnily enough before our FET cycle I did a fair few. But with ivf, it feels different to ttc naturally to me because I know there was definitely a little embryo in there so I'm more heavily invested. I've got 2 frer upstairs but haven't been tempted and that is not like me at all.

Thanks for the well wishes ❤️

@Dochas121 it's very emotional when you get the go ahead. Hopefully you'll feel more better once you get going.

@Gardenlady543 you're expecting af tomorrow? 🤞 For you, when would your first scan be?

Janefx40 · 26/10/2021 21:03

Hi everyone. Sorry for the radio silence - been dashing about all day. Started writing posts a few times then got interrupted!

@VenusStarr thinking of you and sending so much love. We are all here with you xxx

@Dochas121 Great news about the lining. Transfer next week sounds exciting. Not surprised you got emotional! There is so much stress in all this.

@Gardenlady543 hope AF turns up on time (unless it's for a miraculous reason). Sorry about the BFNs - always a bit of a disappointment even when expected.

So the biopsy was FINE!!! It barely hurt. I burst into tears before we started. It was a female practitioner and I hate to sound sexist but I think that made a difference to the whole experience. But the main difference was that it just didn't hurt much. Very mild - and I'd forgotten to take painkillers. Bladder wasn't very full and she did comment but it didn't cause a problem.

So massive sigh of relief here. Although I left the antibiotics she gave me at my parents house which is in London (I live about 50 mins away) so had to back to get them. My lovely Dad drove some of the way and pulled over on a slip road to pass them to me (he's such a maverick! It was quite scary!! But can't complain as he was doing me such a kind favour).

I also found out that the clinic don't do cycles that start after 29th November because of Christmas closure so rush now on for results and treatment! There's always something.

Thanks for the support.

whatcangowrong · 27/10/2021 10:24

@Dochas121 I must have done 100 preg tests I should think. Every time I do one I hate myself for all that plastic waste not to mention the despair that it brings. Need to be more like you!

Had first scan for FET today, still trying to persuade my doctor that my endometrial issues are real but she finally did a swab at least and suggested a probiotic! (I've been on 3 different probiotics for 3 weeks now 😂)

whatcangowrong · 27/10/2021 10:24

Thinking of you today @VenusStarr

Dochas121 · 27/10/2021 10:45

Good luck today @VenusStarr 🤞🤞

@whatcangowrong I suspect I’m in the minority on the pregnancy tests! I just hate them so much! How did your scan go? Really hoping Q4 is a lucky one for us all with the FET’s all lined up.

@Janefx40 I’m so glad it went well for you. Sometimes the anticipation is the worse bit. Hope you can take it a bit easier today. Do they think you’ll be able to do a FET pre Christmas?

@Gardenlady543 hope AF arrived as predicted and you get moving too.

Gardenlady543 · 27/10/2021 16:00

How are you doing @VenusStarr any news?

No sign of AF yet today, but still BFN on the tests so think I just need to wait.

I'm glad the biopsy went well @Janefx40 I hope the results come back ASAP and that you get the cycle in before Xmas.

Have you got the transfer date yet @Dochas121 ?

@whatcangowrong sounds like your FET is progressing what CD are you?

VenusStarr · 27/10/2021 18:09

Thank you all for the love today ❤️ the clinic called about half an hour ago and I'm in complete shock that it was positive, my levels are 113. Just can't believe it implanted. We've got a long way to go but the first hurdle is out of the way 😭❤️ can't stop crying. Thank you all for your support @Janefx40 @Gardenlady543 @seven201 @whatcangowrong @Dochas121 @Cream123 xx

bluepixie · 27/10/2021 18:26

Janefx40 · 27/10/2021 19:01

@VenusStarr yes yes yes!!! 💐💐💐 hooray! I'm so pleased for you both. I know there's a long way to go but the first step to getting there is a lovely positive result like this one. This is wonderful news.

Enjoy your evening xxx

whatcangowrong · 27/10/2021 19:10

Oh yay!!! This has made my day. Such good news @VenusStarr ❤️

Gardenlady543 · 27/10/2021 20:02

Congrats @VenusStarr I bet you guys are so chuffed!

seven201 · 27/10/2021 21:06

@VenusStarr omg!!!!! Amazing!!!!! Congratulations on the bfp. Bet it hasn't sunk in yet and I'm sure you're feeling all the emotions and worry right now. Woweeeeee.

(Sorry for going missing for a few days everyone, just needed a little ivf thinking break but will go through the thread later).

seven201 · 27/10/2021 23:33

Right, trying to catch up!

@Gardenlady543 thank you for the vaginal ph test link - I have ordered! Sorry about the bfn's, hopefully (obviously ideally not!) your period will arrive tomorrow so you can get started.

@whatcangowrong how are you doing?

@Janefx40 so good that your biopsies went so well. Bet you're relieved! Doh about the antibiotics. I hope you can get a cycle in before Christmas, although try not to get your hopes up in case you need some treatment or something.

@Dochas121 I'm glad your scan went well. I'm with you on the pregnancy tests. I hate doing them. I only do them early if it's definitely been long enough to know for sure and only because I don't want to test on a weekday, get a bfn then have to go to work. I'd rather spend a Sunday in bed having a cry.

I'm at my sister's house as she had another chemo session this week. It's the first time I've been able to go and be helpful as it's coincided with half term, so that feels nice. Still no better lines on my opks. I sent off my progesterone test yesterday morning. Mainly at the moment worrying that all my appointments will need to be moved or that I will catch covid at school before my transfer. I'm eating far too much chocolate still Blush. I've realised I've hit the having been trying for this baby for 10% (nearly 4 years) of my life milestone Hmm. After that moan I need to say I am actually doing alright at the moment I think.

whatcangowrong · 28/10/2021 11:16

All good thanks, I'm CD 9 today so although time is dragging interminably the FET will be upon me fairly soon. @Dochas121 sounds like our 2ww might overlap a bit although I will be behind you. Anyone else going to be transferring in November?

I just have a bit of a feeling of doom that it won't work again, and in any case PGT A results aren't in yet so it might be that we are transferring our 2 last untested (and lowest grade) embryos anyway, in which case I would really not be feeling too confident!

@VenusStarr hope you're doing well today and feeling positive. Are you under additional care for this pregnancy such as immunes? I felt I had seen that you were somewhere. I've been following a thread on here about all of that and trying to learn although I'm not having treatment for any of that just yet.

whatcangowrong · 28/10/2021 11:31

We have also booked a holiday for December so I'm really really really hoping that this FET works and we can then go away for weeks 6-8, enjoy the pregnancy bubble and simply stay away from the early scans and the FRERs for a few weeks!

If it doesn't work, and we have any embryos left, we will have the rotten dilemma of whether to go on our much longer for break or stick around in London and do a December pre Xmas transfer. Will have to cross that bridge when we come to it I suppose! Booking stuff up for holiday anyway - hopefully this amounts to manifesting or whatever it is the kids do these days!

VenusStarr · 28/10/2021 16:19

Thank you all ❤️ it's still not sunk in. I barely slept last night again, so feeling quite wired. Definitely running on adrenaline, so need to find ways to calm my mind. Got stocked up with meds today and got our 6 week scan booked 😳 feels so surreal. I still don't feel pregnant (compared to my other ones).
All the your lovely messages have definitely helped and been appreciated ❤️

@whatcangowrong I am on full immunes.... Hooked up to intralipids as we speak, but also on hydroxychloroquine, prednisolone, aspirin and clexane, plus the 2 lots of progesterone. I've made a daily tick sheet of my meds.
I've got everything crossed for you for this FET. Lovely you've booked some time away. I think we should look at similar. It's been so full on, a break will be lovely.
When do you think your pgt-a results will be back?

@seven201 I'm sorry to hear about your sister, I'm glad you can be with her this week ❤️ and a break from ivf and all the thinking and prep is good! I hope you are able to switch off, even if just a short while.

Any sign of af @Gardenlady543?

Hope your results don't take too long @Janefx40 :)

@Dochas121 @Cream123 thank you ❤️ 😍
