Hi, I’m in my 4th round of IVF and currently 4DP5DT. My husband and I have been TTC for 10 years now and after 3 failed IVF attempts with my own eggs we opted for donor egg for this round. We had a good quality blast transferred, last 3 attempts have all been day 2 transfers. I should be used to the 2WW by now, but I’m not!! It’s so bloody stressful! I’ve already started testing..I know it’s way to early just can’t help myself. Needless to say it was a BFN 😢. Trying to stay positive.
If there’s anyone out there going through the same?

Just had a frozen embryo transfer today so am fresh aboard the 2WW train! Our previous try with a fresh embryo transfer didn't work so this is our second go. Sorry to hear that you've not had success so far but keeping my fingers crossed for you that it'll be different this time! You're right, it is bloody stressful though!

I know, I hope so!! When are you planning on testing?

@Noirberry19 I’m going to hold off testing until the clinic’s recommended date - it’s hard to be disciplined about it but I think I’d only worry myself about what tests before that really meant! I know loads of people test a lot before the clinic date though - are you planning to test early?

My clinic didn't actually give me a specific date and I was so excited to have finally got to the transfer, I forgot to ask.
I assume it's 2 weeks?
I probably will test a little earlier, although I am going to try and wait

@Noirberry19 yes it’s 2 weeks - transferred yesterday (5dt) and testing on 3rd August. It’s hard to wait but I also can’t take the rollercoaster of maybe getting false negatives/positives!

Hi both, thanks for replying. It’s so much easier to have someone to share your craziness with during the dreaded 2WW.
I feel really sick today, but this might be the heat and the meds. I had to go back to clinic yesterday for more blood tests. My progesterone levels were too low.
I would definitely recommend holding off the testing. Wish I could take my own advise 😟 I always give in and it makes me more anxious. I haven’t tested today though.

Hope you don’t mind me joining.

The 2ww is just the worst part! Trying to prepare yourself emotionally for the possibility of a bfn while dreaming of a BFp

I did some reiki yesterday to try and relax but I spent the whole time not being able to switch off!

I had my fet last Saturday- 17th. I’ve been told to test on the 26th. Ha, I don’t think I’ll make it!!

@Zedann fingers crossed for you. So hard to know if the symptoms we get are the meds or not. Really hope you get a good result

@@Noirberry19@BrightSide1987 fingers crossed for you 2 too! I was told to test 9 days after my transfer, maybe I should hold out for the 2ww

@Zedann definitely so much nicer to have people who are going through the same for support. Emotional journey. I keep thinking the few symptoms I have is due to heat/medication.
Hope they'll be able to get your progesterone to a higher level. Will they up your dosage?
I'm on 1200mg (3x 400mg) per day pessaries. Not sure what the normal dose is?

@Hopingthistime welcome! You're a couple of days before me so I guess that would mean the 28th for me. I don't think I'll be able to wait either 😬

No symptoms here though! This is my 6th ivf, I’m incredibly lucky enough to have a daughter from my 4th round. I’m really hoping to give her a sibling!
I got a faint bfp early with her- day 6/7 I think.

@Hopingthistime I don't particularly have symptoms either. Just a little backache, headaches and diarrhoea, but it's nothing unusual for me. Feeling thirsty, but think it's due to the fact it's 30 degrees 🥵😂

Welcome @Hopingthistime! Interesting the difference in what clinics are advising re. testing - 9 days is much earlier than I was recommended so I might reconsider my 2 week rule lol! Fingers crossed for you.

@Zedann sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather - but you're right it probably is the weather to blame! And I agree it's so good to be able to share with people going through similar

@Noirberry19 I don't know if there is a normal progesterone dose but I'm on 2 x 2 400mg per day which is higher so I guess it varies! It's double the dose this time round than it was for my fresh cycle before.

welcome @Hopingthistime. Wow 6 rounds! That’s hard going. Hoping this round works for you. I have everything crossed for us all.

They have upped my meds now -taking extra progesterone (cyclogest). They’ve contacted me and my levels are good 😁 Never been on so many meds as this round. Hoping that’s a good thing. I’m not sure what the usual dose each round has been so different for me. This time I’m on
6 x Utrogest (100) per day
2 x Crinone gel per day
2 x cyclogest (400) pessaries
6 progynova ( 4 orally 2 vaginally)

2 x estrogen patches
Inhixia injection daily
Lentogest injection 3 times weekly
It’s like a military operation, and I’m not the most organised person 😬

I’m starting to crack… I’m not sure I’ll be able to stay away from the sticks tomorrow! I’ll be 7dp5dt tomor. I’ve ordered some frer which arrive tomor. My test day is meant to be Monday, but I’m not sure I can handle the emotion of testing and then going straight to work. I had planned to give it a go Sunday night instead. Just need to try and hold off until then. Argh!

@Hopingthistime I’m okay, I seem to get nauseous in the evenings, still have sore boobs, but have this each round. Sorry to hear you were feeling anxious? How are you today? These 2 weeks are so stressful. I know what you mean about testing and going to work. I’m seriously considering pulling a sickie, which I never do, couldn’t cope with work if I got a BFN. 10 years of BFN and it doesn’t get any easier!
I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow when you test sending lots of sticking vibes and hoping for your BFP!!

@Noirberry19 I’m not feeling much today keep thinking it hasn’t worked. Have sore boobs and the odd twinge. How about you? Try not to test too early. I tested at 4 and 5 days and got a BFN made me more anxious and led to a complete meltdown. I know it’s hard…… all we think about is symptoms and testing. As soon as I wake up I grab my boobs to see if they hurt. I mean when does anyone want to feel sick!?! 🤣I’d be so happy if I was sick right now, it would give me some hope.

@BrightSide1987 how are you feeling? Any symptoms? Still managing to stay away from testing?

I’m 8dp5dt today so would get a reliable result if tested. I’m too scared and promised DH that I would wait until the 30th. Not sure I’ll last that long though. Just have to convince DH that it’s best to test early. I’ve had many CP over the years so think he’s worried that we’ll get out hopes up for them to be dashed again.

@zedann no real symptoms yet except I felt very tired yesterday, but trying not to read too much into it! Yes staying strong re. testing - it's still too early for me for sure - I might crack a week from now though!
