Hi, I’m in my 4th round of IVF and currently 4DP5DT. My husband and I have been TTC for 10 years now and after 3 failed IVF attempts with my own eggs we opted for donor egg for this round. We had a good quality blast transferred, last 3 attempts have all been day 2 transfers. I should be used to the 2WW by now, but I’m not!! It’s so bloody stressful! I’ve already started testing..I know it’s way to early just can’t help myself. Needless to say it was a BFN 😢. Trying to stay positive.
If there’s anyone out there going through the same?

@Zedann it's so hard to know when to bite the bullet - I understand not wanting to get hopes up but also it's torture waiting!

To be honest I wasn't too bad but have any of you had any stomach problems??? I guess it is down to pessaries.

I am waiting to hear how is the rest of our embryos doing. Wish we had something to freeze... and if it they did reach the blastocyst then I can be more positive about the one in me.

@BrightSide1987 I feel very tired too, never had naps during the day and now whenever sofa is in eye sight I am on it!!

@AlisonDanuta I’ve never had stomach upsets, but the meds really do effect everyone differently. Sending positive vibes x

I think I'm out too, as I've tested last couple of days and bfn. I'm 7dp5dt today. I know it is still early, but from what I've seen, most have had their bfps by now, so not very hopeful.

@Zedann have you tested yet or are you still waiting for the 30th? Hope you're feeling ok. As you can see above, I couldn't resist the tests lol.

I'm OK thanks - had a bit of a bug yesterday (achy, slight fever) - feeling fine again today but hoping is hasn't affected anything!

I am sorry for your bfn's ladies :( it is a hard journey... we're on our 2nd one, however 1st one we didn't even get a chance for a transfer. So this so very disheartening.

Had a call that none of the other embrios can be frozen... only one reached to a blastocyst but it it a poor quality.
We have only the one that we've had on day 3 transferred.

@BrightSide1987 nothing worse than having a bug during this time! Hope you're well x

@AlisonDanuta so sorry to hear about your other embryos - on our fresh cycle we only managed to get two good enough to try with so if this one fails we'll be back to square one. It's such a lot of emotional investment for a small chance of success but I'm crossing my fingers for the one you've got!

I'm feeling totally fine today and it wasn't anything serious so hopefully it won't have made a difference... but every little twinge and niggle is amplified at the moment!

@BrightSide1987 fingers crossed for you, when is your test date?

Has any of you done acupuncture?

I've been going since May... also had one in the morning of the ET and one after.. not sure if this is helping, but I'd like to think it is. Going before my test date 3 times yet... apparently it does improve blood flow to the uterus..

@AlisonDanuta testing on 3 Aug so still feels like an age away! I haven't tried acupuncture myself but I know other people who swear by it for treating various health issues - it's supposed to be very relaxing which is what we all need during times like this!

@Zedann how are you getting on?

How are we feeling today? Thinking of you all! It's been the longest week - my resolve is definitely weakening!

This wait is awful, I think I have already decided we are not lucky this time!

My date is day after you @BrightSide1987 , when do you plan to test?? Or waiting till your actual date?

@AlisonDanuta I'm similarly resigned to defeat - it's really hard to stay positive. I was really upbeat first time round but much less so this time. I feel really bloated and knackered from all the progesterone though so maybe that's affecting my mood!

Toying with testing on Sunday - that'd be 2 days early but surely is late enough to have an accurate result.

What about you? Any other symptoms? Staying strong on testing or tempted to go earlier?

Morning, I tested at 11days and this morning BFN. I’m heartbroken, I can’t believe it hasn’t worked again. My test day isn’t till tomorrow but I’m 13dp5dt so I know its accurate. I have 2 embryos left. So 5th time lucky hopefully. Although not sure I have the energy. I’m 40 and spent 10 years ttc I’m exhausted with it and feel like giving up.

@AlisonDanuta I haven’t tried acupuncture but might give it a go next time. Sorry to hear about your embryo’s, We never had any to freeze on our rounds with my own eggs, but I did get a BFP with a day 2 embryo (sadly mc at 7 weeks), so it can work. I have everything crossed for you. Try and stay positive and look after yourself.

@Zedann so so sorry to hear this - it's really gutting when it doesn't work out. Look after yourself and take the time you need before deciding what next. They say it only takes one good embryo and there's every chance one of your other 2 could work but that rather underestimates the emotional energy it takes!

I'm so so sorry. It's so unfair. Mine has been bfns too and I'm 10dp5dt today so I think I'm out of luck too. This was my first ivf though and just over 2.5 years under FS so can't begin to imagine how hard it is for you after 10 years and 4 tries.
Really hope you will have luck with your 2 remaining embryos 🤞🏼
I have 3 left. 2 good quality and one that was slightly behind.
The waiting is the worst for me! Just hate waiting for another 2 cycles to pass now before I can start again.

@Zedann I’m so sorry to hear this, it’s just heartbreaking isn’t it, I do feel for you after such a long time. My first BFp was my fourth round, I had lost all hope, but was happily surprised. It is just a lottery

A little ray of hope... I got a BFP. Obviously very early days and a long way to go but it's a start. As @Hopingthistime says it's a total lottery, and I wasn't sure whether to post but I guess it shows that it does work out sometimes!

We have had to go private (we're a same-sex couple so no NHS option for us) and it's bloody expensive! But we've had a pretty good experience with CARE so I'd recommend them if you've got one local to you.

It's absolutely disgraceful you didn't have nhs option!
Do you mind me asking the overall price for your ivf please?
We will need to look into this and seen some where they guarantee money back...
