Just wondering did anyone get really bad nausea and sickness on norethisterone. I'm on my 8th day of taking it and started feeling sick last night. Really sick this morning. I didn't have anything like this last time, not sure if it's that or something else.

@Kamiros I get nausea whenever I take medications that alter cycles or estrogen/progestogen levels - I tried hormonal contraceptives back many many years ago and I still remember how ill I felt on them! Hope you feel better soon!

@scirocco Thanks. Just found it weird that I was ok last time. I'm going to need to have a shower as soon as I finish work cos the smell of my deodorant is making it worse - so bizarre. 🙃

@Kamiros Day 7 of norethisterone here and don't have any neusea. I've had a bit of cramping but thats it. There was a lady on another thread before who accidentaly started a cycle who actually had already conceived naturally - if there is any possibility, you should take a pregnancy test just to make sure.

@2mumlife It has crossed my mind. Its possible I guess but I'm very certain I didn't ovulate before starting. I have some lower back pain, mild cramps and I'm hungry and thirsty a lot which all happened with last pregnancy but I'm sure it's just the progesterone. Might be worth taking a test in the morning, just to rule it out. Thanks.

Thanks everyone 😊 had a wee update yesterday, day 3.

The embryologist said that on day 3 they are scored out of 8 , 8 being the best. Of the 3 embryos we have:
12 cell, score 6
8 cell, score 5
7 cell, score 7
She said the 12 cell and 7 cell are doing well and hopefully the 8 cell will catch up.

According to my extensive googling they should be between 6-10 cells at this stage!

@Kamiros @2mumlife I'm not familiar with the process of when you use Norethisterone, what happens next?

@itsmschanandlerbong Oh that sounds reassuring- keep going little embryos. I didn't get a 3 day score but my 4AA day 5 blast had 8 cells at that stage. Looks like yours are doing well.

I'm taking 12 days of norethisterone this time. Starting Wed I'll have a 5 day break to bleed, then a week Monday its the prostap injection, starting Ovaleap on the Wed.

@Kamiros thanks, hope all is ok tomorrow. The last time we only had 2 at this stage and only 1 was suitable for transfer which wasn't great quality (4CC) but I'd didn't get an update at day 3 the last time, so I'm not sure how they were looking. Trying not to over think what yesterday's results mean because I won't know until tomorrow!
And that's good things are moving for you! Hopefully the next week goes in quickly.

@itsmschanandlerbong Norethisterone is just used for scheduling. It's a progesterone only (essentially the contraceptive pill ironically). I'm only on it for 8 days stopping tomorrow, and plan will be that I bleed in time for planned start of stims (Ovaleap this time) on Friday. Your call counts look really good. I had a 5AA first time that I think was at the 10 cells at this stage, and a 4AA I think that was maybe 6 or 8 cells at this stage. It's great all 3 are still growing!

@Kamiros Just looked back - interesting you're having prostap after your bleed? I did prostap first cycle, but say 21 of the cycle. I'm on Frymedel whilst taking Ovaleap to prevent ovulation

@2mumlife Yeah that's all I get for stopping ovulation. I think they only do it that way for flare protocol. What protocol are you on?

We currently have an embryo on board! Out of the three that had fertilised, one was transferred, one didn't make it and one they think they might be able to freeze - waiting on a call to let me know 🤞🤞

@itsmschanandlerbong That's fantastic news. Stick now little embryo. Be good if you get one to freeze too.

I've just been for acupuncture, had a different lady today and she also did some craniosacral massage- I have never been so relaxed in my life. Looks like something that's going to cost me more money going forward but would very much recommend it.

@Kamiros Ah didn't realise you were on Flare. I'm doing antagonist protocol this time (we did agonist last time when). Hoping change in protocol helps. Glad you're all nice and relaxed!

So this morning when I wiped I had a very light tinge when wiping even though I'm.still on the norethisterone. Also been a bit crampy last couple of days. Its held off rest of the day, and I stop norethisterone tomorrow. I'm hoping it's a good sign my bleed will come pretty quick after stopping? Don't know if it's possible to bleed through the norethisterone or if it really is only just about holding things off

Total PMSy here this morning, to the extent I've already cried to DP that I'm "just not happy today". Had some spotting again when I wiped this morning so just as well norethisterone has stopped as don't think it was delaying my period!!!! Don't know what happens if I start bleeding properly tomorrow, wonder if I should be telling clinic to see if I need to start stims earlier if period is coming earlier than they had planned?

@2mumlife If your period comes before the clinic had planned for you definetely call them and they will probably just adjust the medication days, etc.

We have just been today for the first bloods for FET today! Back wednesday, and I am thinking probably Friday as I am meant to ovulate friday. I am doing OPK at home anyway and there is a faint line, which is a good sign that my body might ovulate as expected! I am so anxious it's unreal, I'm glad we are back from holidays and into the routine, as much as it helped last week to go fast I just need my routine!

@GemmTryTTC Exciting that things are progressing for you. I understand the routine thing, I'm working right through this cycle as I think it will make me less stressed.

@2mumlife I'd def call them and check- just to be sure. Sorry you're feeling rubbish. I took as test as suggested- bfn which was totally expected as sure I didn't ovulate but at least I know. Sickness must just be the norethisterone.

@Kamiros Its good just to have check with the sickness. Hopefully it will dissipate quickly when you stop the northisterone.

@GemmTryTTC That's exciting! It sounds a lot nicer doing natural FET than the medicated one.

I'll see when my period actually comes. If it comes properly tomorrow I'll give them a call as that'd be a bit early. I'm really hoping when period starts my hormones will come a bit more back into alignment as I'm feeling really out of whack today and I hate it.

Sorry I've not been around for ages. The failure of our fresh transfer was fairly awful and I really was having huge panics about egg quality being shite. I've had some counselling and a lot of reassuring chats with the clinic and we are all go again and hoping to do a FET in the next few weeks. I'm taking progynova and I've got a lining scan on Friday. Still not feeling particularly positive but really trying to work on that.
Sorry I've not caught up properly but hope everyone is doing well - congrats on being PUPO @itsmschanandlerbong!
@Kamiros - I found norethisterone quite hard going generally. Think there probably was some nausea.

Ladies who understand thyroid test results, I just got mine - TSH 1.3, T4 15. Do these results look ok?x

@florafoxtrot Glad you're feeling good enough to go. It really is tough finding enough hope to go again isn't it? Fingers crossed this time ends positively for you!

@Kitekat81 I think you want your TSH below 2 for IVF so 1.3 sounds good. I don't know about T4 numbers though sorry
