Starting this thread early!

We've just booked for our second round to start August 2nd with egg collection September 8th.

I was on the Jan/Feb thread earlier this year.

Come join me :)

Just home from EC - all went well. I'm a bit sore at the moment but hopefully that will ease off soon! They collected 7 eggs and they call in the morning to let me know how many have fertilised 🤞

Had another faint line (definitely visible) on a FRER after holding my wee for 4 hours, but so faint I don’t really trust it. Clinic have said they’re taking it as a positive and have booked me for a scan on 2 Oct but I really don’t think it’s a BFP

Mine were like that @gensola then they got darker. I'm having my scan next week. Fingers crossed for you.

That's pretty exciting @Gensola, although I can understand the apprehension... Keep testing every couple of days, hopefully the lines will get darker and darker!! Wishing you luck xx

@99pctpractice good to hear you've got a plan and you can try again soon! Our clinic had the same idea: try get more eggs to increase the chances. In the end we got fewer eggs but more better quality ones, so it helped just the same, although obviously we still have to see if this one sticks! Fingers crossed for you :) xx

@SerendipitySunshine mine really are so faint - when did yours start to darken? I can’t really believe it given I’m 11dp5dt now, the lines should be darker I think?

I was 11dp5dt for test day and they looked similar to yours there. About 48 hours later they got darker and are now as dark as the control line. When I did a clearblue weeks test OTD it said 2-3 weeks, even though it was pale.

EC went well. Best nap ever! Although I am a little sore and uncomfortable.
We have 9 eggs, so we are very happy with the result.

@2mumsandason i'm so happy for you and keeping everything crossed for your call tomorrow.

I heard from the embryologist today and after a bit of a scare that the sperm hadn't thawed well, they prepared it again and got great numbers, so we are going ahead with ivf and will also get a call tomorrow morning.

@ngy21 i hope all went well with your EC.

@Novavee that’s great! I also love the sedation, I think I could get used to it hope you start to feel more comfortable soon.

@Gensola Can you get a beta to check your HCG levels? Faint lines can indicate a chemical. Definitely check in 48 hours (using the same test brands) to check your HCG levels are going up

@beachbum85 Spent all afternoon waiting for call but everything's going well so have. 4 of the embabies are at 8 cells, 1 at 10 cells and 1 speedy little one is "showing off" as the embryologist put it and has started to compact early. Day 5 is Sunday and my clinic aren't actually open so I won't get a call until Monday to let us know what been frozen. So a long weekend of not knowing ahead!

@2mumlife my clinic don’t offer them but if I’m still getting faint lines over weekend and into next week I reckon it will be a chemical. The clinic have booked me for scan in two weeks but I reckon it will be clear well before then even on HPT. It’s a bit frustrating!

@2mumlife is that your day 3 update? Sounds like things are going really well! That’s such great progress

@Gensola i see the line too! it's not even a squinter - it's there! I'm so sorry everything is so unclear at the moment but there is still hope!!!

@2mumsandason glad it all went well! I felt fine after my EC, but just now feeling the soreness like you! i think my paracetamol has worn out so just took some more and hopefully the soreness will go away! Hope you're feeling better now

My EC went quite smoothly as well, the worse part was the cannula i think... so uncomfortable and i was scared of knocking it when doing stuff! The staff were excellent there. I woke up and then had some hot choccie and custard creams! Then discharged shortly after.

Happy with results so far, got 15 eggs! Will get the call tomorrow for fertilisation rate.

@ngy21 wow 15 is amazing! Well done you!! No wonder you feel sore, that’s over a year’s worth of eggs in one go. I found a hot water bottle really helped me, and eating little and often, keeping my fluids up.
The line on the FRER is definitely there too but it is so faint I feel maybe @2mumlife is correct and I’ve caught the end of a chemical. That would be a positive in a way for me as I’d know my body is at least capable of getting pregnant. Ive never even had a snifter of a line before!

I love the sedation too, but not the cannula! I hope the soreness subsides soon - take it easy and best of luck for tomorrow's call xx

@2mumlife ugh the wait must have been hard but that is an amazing update!! Well worth the wait :) I'm sure you'll have good news on Monday but that extra day to wait must seem so extra! Sending you hugs and patience

@Gensola I'd feel the same - never seen a line before and it's one step forward. I really hope things become clear soon and it's not a chemical though!

@Gensola I was getting a faint FRER when my blood HCG was 5. I'm hoping your line gets darker though, like you say you really need to compare. I'm never testing early again after chemical . There is another lady who had a chemical same month as.me, and she's got a proper BFP now, so a chemical is a step forward for sure (my chemical was my first BFP). Yup that was day 3 update

@beachbum85 urgh yes extra day to wait feels tough even though I know if won't change outcome knowing any sooner!

Hi all, my FRER with FMU was stark white today so I’m out. Thank you all SO much from the bottom of my heart for your words, your kindness and support. It has been a lifeline. I wish you all the very best 💜💜💜
Hoping to have my little frostie transferred before Christmas with a new protocol of steroids and blood thinners but until the start of next cycle will take a break from all things ttC. Xx

@beachbum85 last night felt rough! Just been taking pain meds. Feel a lot better today m. Got the call this morning and the results were

15 collected
13 mature
10 fertilised

Happy with results at the moment, won't get another update until transfer day which is Wednesday, as they don't like to disturb them! Just fingers crossed I can get 3-4 good quality embryos!!

Not long till your test day now!!!

We are really pleased 😀 Fingers crossed for the next few days. We are the same as you @ngy21, they don't like to disturb them until day of transfer so we have no more updates until then!

I also had my update this morning. Of the 9 mature eggs collected, 8 fertilized normally. They will call again on Monday for a day 3 update and Wednesday to say how many where frozen.

Follow up appointment to discuss FET booked for 27/09. I am hoping we will be able to do an unmedicated FET in my November cycle, but they want my ovaries to return to normal size first.

@ngy21 @2mumsandason how are you feeling? I am so bloated and still uncomfortable. Have been taking it easy and drinking water like my life depends on it.
