We've just booked for our second round to start August 2nd with egg collection September 8th.

I was on the Jan/Feb thread earlier this year.

@goldilocks2528 I am so, so sorry to read your update and hope the extra days will give your follicles the push they need. Sending lots of strength and keeping everything crossed for you.

@Goldilocks2528 so sorry about your news - i have my fingers crossed for you that the follicles you have will mature enough for you to hopefully go through EC.

@beachbum85 i got the call yesterday afternoon to keep to my same dosage of ovaleap! So tonight should hopefully be my last ovaleap shot, and tomorrow morning i have a scan, which should be my last one before EC on friday! The scans are definitely progressing, just nervous that not enough are mature yet but like you said the trigger should help with maturity and ripen the eggs.

@Novavee that is a strange one! I have never thought of follicles disappearing? I can imagine it's a possibility of some rupturing but maybe you would feel that? I do think it is cause of another sonographer though. Fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow, maybe you should ask the question then whilst they are doing the scan! Let us know how it goes :)

I caved and tested early today when I found a clear blue in my bedside cabinet - it wasn’t a FRER and it wasn’t FMU but it was negative. I’m 8dp5dt today so I guess it’s not a good sign. :-/ I guess I have to hope it was just because it wasn’t a sensitive test and also it wasn’t my first pee. Still feeling a bit lost though.

Ohhh @Gensola I'm sorry! It's definitely a bit early though and I wouldn't trust anything but a FRER at that point, especially if not FMU. I can totally understand the disappointment, but I'd suggest to try again on Thursday and try stay positive till then xx

@ngy21 good luck again with your scan tomorrow! The trigger definitely helps and sometimes it seems like the clinic let you go a bit extra to 'sacrifice' 1 or 2 bigger follicles and try to get a bunch of smaller ones to the right size. Either way, we just have to trust that they're doing the best to increase our chances :) I stimmed 14 days and, although my initial number was a bit lower than I expected, the quality was much, much better than last time so it was def worth it!

Hey everyone, always playing catch up on here. A big congrats for those with amazing scans, follicle numbers and ECs! Fingers crossed for all those still waiting on OTD and all the hugs and love for those not having the best time right now! We all know its worth it 😊

I'm just having my first glass of wine in about 3 months and about to get in our hot tub seen as I'm allowed now! This is my therapy after the bad news and my hubby has had to go back to working away. Just me and my little kitty cat.

@ngy21 I've had my EC confirmed for Friday too! They are going to call me later with the time I need to trigger...eek! I feel like it's all just got really real!!

I forgot to say my Sat repeat beta hcg was good! The clinic called me on Mon and said the levels had more than doubled in 2 days, and that's good. They are going to keep me on the progesterone for 2-5 weeks, and I'm supposed to keep taking the tablet I've been on for the past month to keep my prolactin levels in check. I have a scan scheduled for the 28th when i get back from my trip.

@2mumlife I think I'm getting on OK - I'm definitely coping better with the wait this time round, but I still flip between thinking it may have worked and being absolutely sure it hasn't. 4 days to go and I'm definitely counting down...
What about you? Hoping that everything goes smoothly over the next few days, are you planning a fresh transfer or a freeze all? Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you xx

Hi ladies! is it me or are the egg collections not as scary as what’s put out there? I really thought I would feel horrendous and be in pain but I honestly did not feel a thing and I had the best nurses looking after me. So I had 19 collected which is on the verge of OHSS so the doctor was worried and advised they may need to freeze and they then complete transfer on my next cycle but she has advised me she will call me tomorrow to update me on how good the eggs are. If I I feel ok in the next few days without severe symptoms they are happy to do a transfer on Monday! Eek so all up in the air but I am happy either way xx

Good news here - all 6 eggs were mature and they've all fertilised, which has been fantastic news as this is the phonecall I was dreading the most. Suddenly feel that our chances have just got a lot better! We have to do a freeze-all unfortunately due to protocol we were on this time. However right now feeling very much like the chance in protocol has really been worth it. Just hoping they all keep growing away nicely. Our next update is Friday

@2mumlife ohhh I'm so glad! That's great news! Sending positive thoughts to those embryos to keep strong till Friday and beyond :) let us know how it goes - and hopefully it won't be too stressful waiting for the updates xx

@Lotusflower1990000 did you have anything beforehand?

I ended up in hospital after this EC, I filled up with fluid and wasn’t passing any and was in a lot of pain. So I suppose it’s all down to the individual!

@foodiefil oh no!! I’m so sorry 😢 I had a paracetamol before the ec my ovaries are a little sore at the moment but I peed straight after a cup up tea and discharged yes I think everyone is different hope you are ok xxx

Ohhh @foodiefil that sounds like you have a really 'short' wait! My OTD is 12dp5dt, and now it seems like almost everyone can test before then..... just a little bit jealous haha

@beachbum85 yeah our clinic is 9dp5dt. So not too bad! I've got the day off work thankfully so if it's not our turn we're going to go to the beach :)

@foodiefil I had a similar experience with my first egg collection - my ovaries filled up with fluid, I’d had 25 eggs taken and I was in agony, I could hardly walk for days after and peeing was so sore I was crying every time. Then this time was totally fine! I think it can even vary for the same person just different cycle!

@ngy21 @2mumsandason eeeekkk! Another one here! Had my scan this morning and EC confirmed for Friday morning. I'll be triggering tonight at 10pm. All my need is my negative covid result tomorrow and we are good to go.

I had a completely different scan today. A different sonographer, fantastic image and all the missing follicles were there, so that was a lot of worry for nothing. The bad news is my estradiol levels are through the roof and they say it will increase with the trigger so it will be a freeze all, no choice about it, as I am at high risk of OHSS.

@Gensola i am sorry to read your news, but as others have said, may be still a bit early? Keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow.

@MollyVanDer glad i could help . It is a odd thing to do, though, isn't it? I felt a bit overwhelmed when first choosing and then going through the online purchase like I was buying something off of Amazon. A bit surreal.

@beachbum85 thanks. It's hard not to worry about every stage of this process and I'm a worrier by nature, but it's usually always worse in my head. How are you holding up? Not that long now for OTD.
