Starting this thread early!

We've just booked for our second round to start August 2nd with egg collection September 8th.

I was on the Jan/Feb thread earlier this year.

Come join me :)

What foods are people eating over the course of the next few weeks.

I'm having banana pancakes tomorrow for breakfast...Nutella, strawberries, the works 😁

Hansoo I was eating lots of pineapple the first time as I’d read it could thin corn the lining, old wives tale. If I’d read dancing the Macarena naked in the garden would help I’d have done that too

Hi, I hope you don’t mind me joining you so late.
I have had two frozen embryos transferred on Tuesday 24/8 and now I’m on my 2WW.

I have been through this 4 times before. So it’s not a surprise. This time as well as the pessary three times a day in using progesterone injections plus clexane ( which was very painful till I figured out to ice before and after, as I have huge bruises all over where I injected).
It’s days 6 today and I’ve been feeling fatigued for two days with sore boobs. I’m scared to do a pregnancy test as I frankly can’t take it! I can’t do it every day from day 5 like my previous 4 as it was soak destroying. I am tempted though! I came across a paper regarding the chances of success after days 5 pregnancy test. I’ve taken this week off but I regret it as I gave nothing to do but to over analyse my bodily sensation.
How are you all doing in 2ww and when did you start testing?

@Hansoo huge congratulations on your 5AA transfer and your frostie!! Fingers crossed for the remaining embryo tomorrow too!

@99pctpractice congrats on your double transfer! I had transferred an early blast time and did a lot of reading about that, and there were plenty of success stories from good quality blasts even if not as developed as they'd like, so everything crossed for you to be able to add to those stories :) and good luck on getting a frostie tomorrow too xx

Congrats on being PUPO @KatRee!! You must be over the moon, and excited at the possibility of having a frozen embryo too! Good luck and let us know!

@Gensola those are amazing numbers, although I can understand your worry about the quality and the freeze all! I hope you get a good number of mature eggs and you can still go ahead with a transfer - fingers crossed! In the meantime I hope your trigger was fine and best of luck for Wed xx

@tourist36 welcome, congrats on your transfer and with the 2ww! I've had one round before and I tested on OTD as I was so scared of it being a negative (which it was) but there seem to be plenty of people who test early...

My scan went well today and the same 8 follicles have grown a fair amount over the weekend, so I'll be triggering tomorrow night for EC on Thurs morning. So glad the time has come and hoping for all of those eggs!

Tourist 36, you can test early and you can get a positive or a negative. It all depends on the test and how much hormone you have produced. I tested early both times, I can’t wait for Christmas I knew I’d never last for this.

Good luck to you being implanted this week.
I woke up at 3am bursting for a wee, I tested and got the result we all want. I’m excited and scared. I’m so sorry for anyone who doesn’t get the result don’t give up hope, remember what you do have. Investigate all your options, love your partners and do what is right for you.

Just had the confirmation that the other embryo that I had that they were keeping an eye on turned into a blastocyst but was insufficient quality to freeze. So I have one inside of me and one in freeze for a future FET.

Just had the call...We have 7 eggs fertilised! We may get a call again tomorrow to see how many cells have split again and get a grading. They are hopeful for a Saturday morning transfer. 🍍🤞🏼

@Gensola I'm really bloated as well and I feel quite a bit of pressure on my lower belly, which is strange since I don't have toooo many follicles! Can't wait for them to be collected though, and good thing my colleagues only see my top half on their screens in the meantime I'm sure you look nothing like a whale but, yes, I'm sure tomorrow can't come soon enough xx

Thanks! Will find out some grading tomorrow I think to see how they're getting on and confirm a Saturday transfer.

I feel very excited and positive about the news and to have 7 is amazing, I didn't think we would have so many. I still feel uncomfortable and fatigued from collection yesterday but I got dressed and went for a walk with hubby just for some fresh air! Isolating til transfer! Cant wait for freedom 😊

Good luck to all those who have embryo transfers this week. I'm day 6 post transfer of a 5 day blastocyst and the wait to a day 14 pregnancy test is hard today. We decided not to buy any tests until the night before to prevent temptations. Anyone else on the longest wait of your life?
Ps. This is my first IVF. 37. Lesbian. Two embryos made day 5 but only one good enough, so none in the freezer.

MollyVanDer you definitely have more will power than me. I was similar to you 5 donor eggs fertilised, 1 got to blastocyst.

Congratulations @TanBr - great news.

I also got a BFP over the weekend. Initially a pale line on a strip test a couple of days early, then a clearblue 2-3 weeks OTD - feels pretty surreal as it's very much last chance for us, but nervously excited.

@Nerdalert you've come this far with isolation, final hurdle for you and then freedom!!

I just came back from my DR scan, all is good. Ovaries are quiet and lining is at 3mm, i start my stims tomorrow! Got my day 8 and 10 scans booked in. Nurse said hopefully I won't need to do a full 12 day stims, so looking at EC on Mon 13th (or potentially Weds 15th if i needed the extra few days).

Exciting now I have a more clear timeline and dates booked in!
