Starting this thread early!

We've just booked for our second round to start August 2nd with egg collection September 8th.

I was on the Jan/Feb thread earlier this year.

Do people think it is OK to have a bottle of beer after egg collection on the day. But then no more leading to transfer.
I have totally abstained since the nurses appointment.

Thanks everyone, 7 eggs collected so I'm happy with that. Just an anxious wait now until tomorrow to find out how many have fertilised!

@Hansoo my dr said fine to drink up to night before embryo transfer but just 1 glass of wine or a beer. He said might as well while you still can!

Are you feeling anything. I'm getting light pains. Also I went walking earlier and didn't have the level of fitness I would normally expect to have.

I just finished my dinner. Thought I would have it late to try and not feel so hungry tomorrow.

I had what felt like very light period pains earlier, but might have imagined them.
Just want to get it over with now! Hope yours goes well x

I'm just sat waiting. All canula'd up. Met the doctor. My procedure is 10.45. Can't wait for food.

@Goldilocks2528 I'm glad you're well and don't have to take those tablets anymore, but that really does sound stressful for the day of your baseline scan. Good thing they got you in early and hopefully they'll be quick!! sigh the things we do throughout this process...

On way to clinic for progress scan and weirdly paranoid that nothing will have happened

Hi guys.
The worst part for me was the speculum going in. That was traumatic.
I didnt feel the injections into cervix and I didn't feel the follicles being drained. There were a couple of follicles that were hiding so had some pressure to get to those.
But 9 eggs.
125mg of fentanyl.
Gas and air was useless for me.

Just sat in recovery room..

So many amazing things happening this week. I'm so happy and proud of each and everyone of us. Its sometimes hard to keep the positivity flowing! Sending lots of love, luck, science and positive thoughts to all!! ❤

I made it through this far because of you guys!

EC was weirdly quite nice! It wasn't general anaesthetic, but tbh felt like it in that I was completely unaware of anything. Got some tea and biscuits when I came round and I couple of painkillers as I did get a couple of sharp stabby pains in the abdomen whilst in the recovery room, but nothing awful. Now back at home feeling slightly sleepy

Definitely lots of amazing things happening @Nerdalert! How was your scan today?

Mine went well - they could see 6 follicles growing, even if slowly. Very much like my last round, so we're probably looking at EC on Tuesday, but first another scan on Friday

Well done. Sounds like you are doing really great. They were telling me that a lady had 22 follicles drained and only 2 eggs. So a small number often is better.

Scan is this afternoon, still hoping for EC on Friday as I have to isolate til transfer! Today is day 6 of isolation, although I have work to do, its different knowing you just can't do what you wanna do
