Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

thanks guys. feeling a bit tired today as at 3am was on the verge of a panic attack. Managed to calm myself down before it went blown. still feeling a bit down and teary and then feel guilty. I promised myself i'd never be the type that resented others for their fertility.

It's been over two years now since DH had his first sperm analysis, two years of meds, two years of watching and waiting to see if this would be possible. Whilst being able to do ivf is a bonus because we weren't sure it would be possible i always thought my fertility would balance it out. then the low AMH bombshell it...and there's no reason for it. but from all investigations it seems i could get pregnant naturally if i had a partner with decent sperm. it just means i don't respond to IVF well so it's not a good combination.

I know we've been prepping for the future i just always thought it would be one round and done with enough spare for baby 2. i am about to embark on round 3 and never even tried to get pregnant yet.

I'm in isolation cos of the treatment and it makes me feel like shit. i am a total extrovert - i love seeing people, spending time with them, seeing new places and feel like things are finally opening up again and i am stuck at home. I am also on a strict diet to get my weight down as i had a max weight before treatment. i'm finally under it and terrified of not keeping it that way. so i am starving and just miserable.

@Nix49816 this it today vs yesterday plus a FRER. How's yours doing?

@Bells3032 chin up lovely. You'll get there. It's a long bumpy road this and being hungry doesn't help with your mental state at the best of times. It'll be worth it in the long run though ❤️

I'm booked in for egg collection for Monday morning. Really only got 3 good follicles, hoping they contain golden eggs. Last bemfola tonight and possibly a 1.5 dose of cetrotide tomorrow night.

@Crazydoglady123 that's definitely darker and the first response it a good solid line! 😁 Ive procrastinated over darkness levels from yesterday to today but figure I need to think more objectively, Tuesday you could barely see a line if you didn't know what you were looking for, today I have a solid block of colour so must be growing. Still terrified but trying to force myself to be optimistic. Will do a digital one Sunday on my actual test day then get my clinic to book me a scan in a couple of weeks 🙂

Do you have any symptoms yet?

@VenusStarr that's great news that egg collection is on Monday! And that injection life if nearly over for you! Really hope everything goes smoothly for you and your 3 follicles produce you top quality eggs! 🥚🤞 Xx

hey guys. feeling a bit better now. thank you for letting me vent. i really appreciated it. apparently the cousin was TTC last year before covid broke out so even if we hadn't had all these delays would have likely not been the first great grandchild anyway. i know it sounds weird and competitive but i was just hung up that by the time our long time desperately wanted child was born it would be like "oh another baby, that's nice". Maybe i am just a bit loopy and was already feeling emotional and anxious yesterday so think it just pushed me over the edge.

Anyway as said earlier i volunteered at a vaccine centre and got my jabs in the meantime. i also managed to get my pregnant best friend on the wait list if they had spares and she got the call today to say they had some. she has some how also managed to convince them to give it to both her husband and her sister (who is also ttc). my phone is being blown up with lots of gratitude, hearts and kisses which made me laugh and cheered me up.

Hopefully a good night sleep will set everything right.

@Bells3032 I'm glad your feeling better. Try to take it as it comes. I don't think it's weird or competitive at all, we all have ideas in our mind and it's valid to feel disappointment that they don't work out how we hoped.

@Bells3032 I’m glad you’re feeling better. This whole IVF process is so much about giving up dreams, whether it be of conceiving naturally on a romantic holiday or of becoming a mother before you turn 35 (that was mine) or of having the first child in the family. And it doesn’t seem fair we have to give up on those when everyone else seems to be able to choose when and where they have kids (and how many!). But when you finally get your little baby all of this will fade away and not matter anymore. So I hope i Yui ou get there soon!

My period hasn’t shown up yet. It was 6 days late last cycle which - from some research I’ve looked into - could be related to the Covid vaccine so hoping I won’t get a repeat this month. I had my second dose 2.5 weeks ago...just want to get started!

Can anyone help me?! Im on my last day of down regulation today - have been taking norethisterone. I just went to take my last evening one ... and have found my morning one still on the side!! I think I popped it out the blister pack and then went to get a drink and totally forgot about it. 😱 Now panicking!! Has anyone else missed one? Any idea what I should do? X

@C1aire85 call your clinics out of hours. They will be able to tell you what to do. Don't think anyone on here can give medical advice

@bells yeah I'm waiting for a call back for the clinic. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar to help my mind at ease?

I had my first monitoring scan today. 19 follicles seen and cetrotide to begin on Sunday. Has anyone used cetrotide? I'm worried about bruising! Been okay so far and no side effects from the Bemfola yet.

@Prayingforabubba thank you ☺️ 19 is a good number of follicles! I was also on cetrotide and I didn't really find I got any bruising but after the injection I got a slight reaction around the injections site and it stung a little afterwards but I heard that's a common side effect and it went within an hour.

Sorry @Nix49816 had a manic day yesterday! That's definitely a darker line! Mine are still processing and it's now 14days since my Ovitrelle trigger so I think I can relax now and know it is a true BFP. I haven't really had any symptoms other than sore, veiny boobs but because of the progesterone it's hard to know if it was that. I'm dying to know if one or both of the embryos implanted so I'm going to pay for a BETA test with my clinic as waiting till the 7 week scan is going to drive me crazy 🤣 How are you feeling? Have you had any symptoms?

Feeling the most positive I have today, my line is substantially dark so trying to enjoy that right now I'm closer than I have been in 3 years whatever happens next. After being wiped last weekend just weary this week, not shattered but everything is an effort, even fell asleep on the meeting room floor yesterday while having my pessary lie down, good job the door was locked 😂 Felt a bit sick last night too, not like I would be sick but just not right. Well I didn't finish my Chinese and that NEVER happens! 🤣

@Georgie87B how are you feeling post egg retrieval?

What would everyone suggest to eat/drink for electrolytes other than coconut water? I'm not too fond of it. I'm a teacher so would you suggest taking the following day off after collection? I'm hoping it somehow falls on a Saturday 🙏🏼

@Nix49816 yeah I had a grade a and grade c transferred. I feel the same like you say whatever happens you can take comfort in being the furthest you've got in a very long journey! I went for lunch and a walk with friends yesterday and was so sleepy in the afternoon I had to have a nap (not on a meeting room floor though 😂🙈) That's good signs though. When I had my son I had no sickness in pregnancy so it'll be interesting to see if I can be lucky and escape it this time 😬 this is my progression now:

@Crazydoglady123 those lines are definitely improving every day!! When is your test day? These are my progress, actual test day tomorrow so looking forward to using a digital one and getting the word 'Pregnant' in writing 😆😊

Wow ladies, bfps all progressing well!

@Prayingforabubba I was on cetrotide on my last fresh round and it was fine, no different to the menopur or fyremedal I was on this time.

So I did a hopeful test today at 5dp5dt and I got a positive! I’m happy but cautious as I’ve been here twice before and never got to the heartbeat stage. I’m googling 5dpt frers to compare the intensity of the line which I know is a fools game! 🙈

@Nix49816 mines OTD is Wednesday but I did tell the nurse yesterday I'd tested 🙄 They look sooo good! It'll be so nice like you say to see it in writing!
