Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

Had my final stims scan today and all on for EC Monday 😬 I have 16 over 10mm and 3 at 9mm which I'm hoping by Monday will be bigger. This is my chart, didn't know if anyone wanted to see how they monitor it

@VenusStarr yep literally just had confirmation that same stims tonight then trigger tomorrow at 8.30pm for EC Monday at 8.30am! Blue dots right ovary, orange is left ovary. I'm with Simply Fertility

Great progress! It must feel good to know you are coming up to the collection, the last week has gone so quickly hasn’t it. From my last cycle I remember that any follicle over 13mm on trigger day resulted in an egg, I know others have had similar too. By my estimates there should be 9-11 potential follicles to collect from but as my consultant said today there’s no guarantee of which follicles will contain an egg. I think eggs grow on average 1-2mm a day.

@clolo oh I know how annoying this is! My period was 5 days late last cycle and that has never happened before! Couldn’t work out if it was due to egg collection the previous cycle or to my Covid vaccine (there is mounting evidence it can impact your cycle short term)... Hope ovulation shows up soon!

Wonder if someone might know this as I completely forgot to ask my consultant today.

I have just started stims and I want to know if I can take nurofen? I get horrendous period pains and really need to take some

@StrongEagle my consultant said to my before I've even started from now no ibruprofen, no aspirin just paracetamol. So I would say a strong no unfortunatley. Get that hot water bottle out! Hope you feel better soon!

Finally got drug delivery sorted out yesterday evening, drugs coming Wednesday, and nothing for the fridge this time apparently!

I did my first fyremadel this morning. Bit of a sting afterwards but not too bad.

Has anyone's clinic mentioned unprotected sex during stims? I don't think mine have but I've read so many posts I feel like I've heard you shouldn't somewhere...

@DoctorBambino thank you lovely! I think mine said you’re ok to do it during down reg, but you can’t once you start stims (and the leaflet I took home from the clinic yesterday said not until test day now)

@mowglika haha! I hope some of the smaller ones have a miraculous growth. I know numbers don't mean anything but you can't help but want as many as poss.

@DoctorBambino mine said to abstain the whole time but I was on a Clomid cycle when I started down regs which I over stimmed on so my NHS consultant had to legally tell me to abstain.

@Crazydoglady123 I got my days all muddled up, I thought it was Sunday yesterday and Monday today 😂 hoping the trigger went well last night for you.

@Georgie87B hoping your first dose of stims went ok. Have they said when your monitoring scans/bloods will be?

We had the call from the clinic early yesterday afternoon to say that of the 18 collected, 17 were mature and 12 had fertilised with ICSI overnight. We’ll get another phone call today to tell us how our little ones are getting on, and whether we’re going with a day 3 or 5 transfer. If there’s 2+ at top quality it’ll be day 5, if it’s only 1 at top quality it’ll be day 3.

@TeaAndCrumpets1 first stims was eventful 😂 I did it myself and it didn't hurt at all which was soo relieved about but did stab my finger when pulling the cap off the needle 🙄 and then ended up having to inject twice as the first time I didn't realise how hard to push the button on the pen down and didn't inject all the dose properly so had to do it again. But for my first go it could have been alot worse 😂😂
I have my first tracking scan and bloody this coming Friday and then again on the Monday after I believe.
Ahh that's is a great number of eggs congratulations! Hope you get loads of top quality embryos 🤞xx

I had a tiny bit of brown spotting this morning 👀 they did say after the biopsy that I might come on early, which is fine by me. Still think it will be a day or two though, but it's getting closer 🙂
I'm going to do some meal plans and make sure I'm including a lot of protein.

@VenusStarr thank you. I'm injection free now 🥳 Was so nice not having my alarm go off for my buserelin this morning 😌 I can't wait to not worry about what I'm eating too. It's so hard eating lots of protein 🙈

@TheSnufflet hey, how how are you? I've just been reading my hospitals long protocol timeline and they stim for 10-14 days so I don't reckon EC will be until 28th May for me, so ET 2nd June estimate for when you next update the stats.

@notyetamumbuttrying wow that's a long time on stims! Be interesting to know if it results in more mature eggs maybe? I'm doing okay thank you. Just feeling super cramped inside. Sitting/laying I feel uncomfortable but walking around feels okay. OH has gone out for a few hours so getting all his presents wrapped and everything sorted today ready for his birthday Tuesday and going to pack my bag for tomorrow too. The sedation bit freaks me out the most about it all but I'm quite good at not letting myself think about it until the time it's happening tomorrow so just keep moving it to the back of my mind 😬
