Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

@KayReeves I hate running so have no idea how people can say that helps 😂😂😂 but well done! You need to do things that make you happy ❤️

@StrongEagle I'm self employed so I work my own hours but wowsers to the 3 hour round trip! Is that for every scan/appointment? For the fridge, buy a digital fridge thermometer. I've got one in mine.

@2mumlife thank you! That was my thinking as well we could do a few IUI but if not successful you easily work up a bill that amounts to 1 IVF cycle. Yes self care will need to be a massive thing. I am rubbish at making time for it as well.

I don't know how prepared one can be ahead of time for the emotional affects but I am least prepared with information and what is involved and that should help some.

Sorry if i missed it, when is your transfer?

@StrongEagle I called the clinic this morning and they said as long as AF arrives by 8am on Saturday I am still OK to start injections Saturday evening as planned so it still possible that schedule will remain unchanged. But if doesn't arrive schedule will change slightly..
That's great news that your meds are coming tomorrow! I will be on gonal-f, cetrotide and ovitrelle to trigger if that is any help?
Ahh I downloaded the mindful app but haven't used it yet.. I really should!

@2mumlife I have a feeling crinone is front door only but haven't fully read the leaflet yet so could be wrong. Oh the glamour of IFV 😂😂

@Georgie87B ohhh fingers crossed AF arrives promptly. I switched apps for monitoring mine and I am not confident what day she will show up anymore. I definitely have some similar meds to you, I have Gonal F, suprecur, Fyremadal and then Utrogeston xx

@StrongEagle Yea mine was always regular but they put me on norethisterone tablets for 2 weeks to put mine back a couple of days due to scheduling reasons so god knows when it's coming now haha!
Ahh all I can tell you is that Gonal-f is a pen which looks pretty straight forward. 🤞
Are you also due to start injections on Saturday??

@Crazydoglady123 you're right, it really does! They're due for delivery tomorrow and so is my pill box that you recommended. Thank you for that!

Anyone whose done day regs before and has cycles shorter than 28 days... were you told to start injections 7dpo or just 7 days before you're due on in case you don't have a 14 day LP. Just trying to work out what's best for me as I vary between 23-25 days and ov cd10 or 11.

@Hoping4baby21 I'm on a FET round (I did my first fresh IVF in Feb/March) so tranfer will be end of May if my periof shows up (it took forever last month after failed round, but that seems to be common enough side effect of all the drugs).

@Georgie87B I got a call today also saying cyclogest was in shortage, so I'm being moved to Lutigest (a tablet) I think now, which is now gonna be 3 times a day!!! I was a backdoor babe on cyclogest (less mess, and too many stories of thrush) but looks like this will be a front-door situation now.

I've also been told there are shortages of progynova, so I'm being moved onto Elleste instead . So drug delivery will now be next week (just as well I started trying to organise drugs so early...!)

@clolo bloody typical! Sorry hun, hopefully it comes later. Sometimes mine starts at night.
Drugs delivery arrived today, all feeling very real now! Also 1dpo so praying for that miracle bfp and the injections can stop! If anyone has any thoughts on the below msg on dpo I'd be grateful to hear. Will contact the nurses also for their view.

Sorry your ovulation has gone awol @clolo, do you use opks / bbt? Hopefully it's just slightly delayed 🤞

My meds have arrived!! 🥳 But also 😬😬 it's a bit scary seeing them all laid out. Countdown to af is on 🕒

I had an endometrial biopsy yesterday, 🤬 painful! And I nearly fainted so had to lie back down... There was zero dignity yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️

Third scan, will have to continue stimming over the weekend, in the hope that the smaller ones catch up. Back on mon for another scan, fingers crossed for trigger then.

Finally got a look at the numbers, got 10 follicles over 10mm and another 13 under so hoping that some of these grow. Gonna get all my woo out this weekend

@clolo my body did exactly the same thing! AF came 6 days late in the end but all worked out fine with the clinic, hopefully yours will be the same!

Day 3 of stims here and nothing to report so far 😊

I have a lot of cushioning on my tummy too @notyetamumbuttrying! Hopefully we'll feel less when the needles go in 😂 the results from the biopsy are 4-6 weeks, but I thought while we haven't ttc naturally it would be good to get it in before the ivf as it might serve as a scratch and help implantation.

Thanks ladies for your lovely well wishes for collection this morning. I went into theatre at 8.30 and was home by 11.20 (including a cheeky stop for a maccies breakfast after!), so it was super quick. They got 18 eggs, which was a massive surprise! My hubby thought I was delirious from the anaesthetic when I phoned him, and had got the number wrong 😂 we’ll get the standard embryologist phone call mid-morning tomorrow to say how ICSI went. Feeling very comfortable luckily, but they did give me a little diclofenac dose which might be helping! I’m on the sofa in my dressing gown and don’t plan on moving for the foreseeable 😂

I got a surprise yesterday, that I'm going to be an Aunty in November as my sister is pregnant. I seem to be thoroughly surrounded by pregnant women at the moment. It sucked a bit last night, but I had a chat with her today (she didn't know we'd been trying too - we've not told nay family) and felt better about it all and more like I can be happy for being an aunty without feeling negative. Interestingly, like me she's been treated for pre-cervical changes, and they're also now monitoring her for short cervix (which my consultant has already confirmed is issue for me). Hoping we get luck soon, it would be nice to have kids similar ages!
