So basically today is my last day of clomid my first and only round!
So taking ovulating sticks , I'm cycle day 10
Wondered if anyone is in similar boat and want to keep each other company along the way!!!

@Shelleybe drives me crazy! I'm now thinking though would like to know because we were only doing one round of clomid but because was such a disaster I am thinking to give one more go!! But I would have to pay again so don't want to ring order etc if don't need! But then don't want to wait till late and miss the perfect days again! This time I would try earlier as I usually ovulate 12/14 naturally so I figure if I take 2/7 should ovulate between 12/17 not too different! Where as I messed up this time and did 6/9 so I have no idea if I ovulated or am yet too?! Only con so serine another round because of mess up then arguing

@lastbany nothing here. I keep looking at my apps to check what dpo I’m on, like it’ll change throughout the day 😂 it’s killing me!

Could your clinic give you the prescription and then if you (hopefully) don’t need it then you just don’t use it?

@Shelleybe I’m jealous you’re testing Wednesday, I’m not til Saturday! Got my progesterone bloods on Tuesday so at least there’s that to break up the tww. You feeling better?

@Luna1108 I know crazy! This month has been the longest ever ttc month I swear!! Hah it's all so annoying! Dreading if have to do this all again! Don't know if it's AF ready to come or what but I'm so emotional!!

@lastbany @Luna1108 can’t believe its getting closer to Wednesday. I keep looking for symptoms 🙈 feeling much better thanks a mil. I don’t think he gets like when I’m like please leave it I don’t want argue especially when feeling emotional...good luck with the bloods.
I would def try day 2 on to ovulate earlier if need to. Hopefully you won’t.

Hi all, would it be okay to join? I have found the thread really interesting. I'm on CD 31 and very confused... I will try to make my story as brief as possible

3 years ago I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and was prescribed 50mg of clomid. On my day 21 blood test the result was 'lower than expected' by that stage I had seen so many BFN as we had been trying for 2 years by that stage that I just took it I hadn't ovulated and so took no tests and waited for a period to try again, got to cycle day 85 which was not unusual with my cycles but had rung the consultant for some provera to trigger a period and she said to take a pregnancy test first, I did and the long and short of it is I was 12 weeks pregnant to my surprise!

So here I am again, my daughter turns 2 next month and we are trying for a sibling for her. I am on cycle 2 of clomid and have taken 100mg this month (first cycle I got a 1 on my 21 day blood test so didn't ovulate). On my day 21 this month I got a progesterone result of 77, they said this means I definitely ovulated?

The reason I am confused is if I definitely ovulated I am guessing that means I should definitely have a period? But I'm now on day 31 with no period, I took a clear blue digital pregnancy test day 28 (the day I assume my period would have been due?) and it said 'not pregnant' but I still have no sign whatsoever of a period?

Welcome @Rosalind22 and congrats on your baby girl. I would think progesterone 77 def means ovulation. Have you had any scans. I haven’t only blood work done. Is your cycle now regular at 28days? Clomid can make your cycle longer so maybe that’s playing a part too and in few more days you could take another test? There is lots of great people in this group who will be a long to give advice too

What a crazy story with your first pregnancy, bet that was an incredible surprise!

You said it’s not unusual to have long cycles, could that not be the case now?? Do you have an ‘average’ cycle length?

77 is a great progesterone level, think @Shelleybe had a very similar level. Mine was 96 last month! I’m pretty sure it’s 30+ to confirm ovulation, so I assume the clomid give your progesterone a kick.

Thank you @Shelleybe, without clomid my cycles range from sort of 40-75 days as I don't ovulate, but the fertility clinic seemed to say because I got 77 I had definitely ovulated and so should definitely get a bleed at a normal time I.e have a normal cycle length, I think I'm just really scared of getting my hopes up and fooling myself into thinking I must be pregnant when it's just a late period! Nightmare TTC isn't it! Your brain plays such tricks on you!

Thank you @Luna1108, yes! I found out I was pregnant and had a 12 week scan all in one day! Was an incredible day.

I don't really have an average cycle length as I dont ovulate without clomid... my cycles can go to 75 days due to no ovulation! They are pretty nuts.

What cycle day are you on?

@Rosalind22 aw your head would be so wrecked with it. Did you do any ovulation tests so have round about idea when you ovulated? So maybe could say 14 days after that for Period and then test in couple days time again? Sorry I’m not much more help. You would have so many questions. I got 82.5 on progesterone but I don’t have any underlying explanation yet for infertility. I’m 37 so I’m sure age hasn’t helped. I’m taking 50mg of clomid but doc mentioned raising it to 100mg after few months if needed

@lasbany as @Luna1108 said could you get the physical piece of paper for prescription and not pick up meds if get me unless need

@Rosalind22 ah that makes sense, must mess with your head so much! Have you asked your clinic for any advice? If it’s not coming, they may need to prescribe you something to induce your period?

I’m CD19 at the moment, practically counting the hours to testing day! I’m trying to feel positive about this month, careful optimism.

Hi everyone! How are you all getting on?

Will scroll through previous comments just thought I would vent on here first as so annoyed at my sister. She knows we're TTC. Shes 39 and has 3 kids of her own and recently found out she's 4 week pregnant - by mistake! We're very close but then she made a snarky comment which pissed me off. She sent me the pregnancy test result and said "Its so annoying that I can't control how fertile I am! We only had sex once and he pulled out!" And is now asking me to come to an abortion clinic with her. I know she's my sister but I can't help feeling resentful! (and she could have dealt with it softly - didn't have to mention how fertile she was!!)

Urgh!! Anyway. Gave her an excuse as deffo not going with her to get it aborted - then she asked for my opinion and I told her I feel like she should keep it as she's physically, mentally & financially able to.

Anyway. Sorry for the rant it just feels good to let it out anonymously as I wouldn't be able to speak to friends about that lol

@Happinesscomesfromwithin I got my AMH checked. It was on the 50th centile so normal for my age but the consultant said it was starting to decline (I'm 35) so don't have too much time left

@Rosalind22 welcome. What an amazing story and gives us all a little hope! It sounds like maybe you've tested early? Also the digital results aren't as sensitive as other tests. Could you get your hcg levels checked?

@Rosalind22 welcome! That's an amazing story with a beautiful outcome!! And yes I second what has been said - clomid is known to lengthen cycles so check again in a few days/a week and fingers crossed for a BFP!

My results were 18 for my AMH - is this an ok result? I'm 31 almost 32.

@Lielle I’m so sorry, that must have been so difficult for you. Very insensitive.

@Happinesscomesfromwithin 18 is fine. Mines horribly low at 4.5 (hence our issue conceiving). That was a couple of months ago, it does fluctuate although not by much 😢

Yeah I actually read it also depends on what day of cycle you had it on. I had it day before period arrived as labs would be closed on day 2/3 and apparently results from luteal phase to follicular phase show lower numbers. I'm abroad so u just get sent with a prescription for bloods to a lab of your choice to do the blood test so I may redo them next month on the correct day!
