Clomid / wait game

Started a new thread
All welcome
So basically today is my last day of clomid my first and only round!
So taking ovulating sticks , I'm cycle day 10
Wondered if anyone is in similar boat and want to keep each other company along the way!!!

I’m taking thyroid medication too, about 2 months ago. Retested my TSH and it’s really dropped, have you retested?

@Luna1108 no not been retested yet, only started taking them 2weeks ago as they messed around waiting to see what my thyroid did. It was high last Nov at 5.5 and then in March it was 6.58 so now on 50mg of thyroxine. What was yours if you don’t mind me asking?

Mine was 4.6 a couple of months ago, retested and it was 1.8, so it’s working! Deep down I’m hoping that that was the issue all along and this month will be the one as we haven’t really tried since starting my meds. I’ve been on 25mg thyroxine.

@Shelleybe FRER and easy@home ones. They're for early testing so are really accurate. Not even a sniff of a second line

Welcome @Suki2020 I have not suffered with thyroid but few places I read once can correct that makes such a difference so hopeful for you and your partner. Any clomid symptoms

I think must ovulated boobs are so sore. Now waiting game...

@Luna1108 yeah that’s what I’m hoping to. Do you feel better for it? How many cycles of clomid have you done now?

@Suki2020 I’ve noticed I’m sleeping significantly better, so I’m not so fatigued when I wake up in the mornings.

This is my second round of clomid but I didn’t try round one because the clinic told me not to (too many follicles). So it’ll be my first round trying, I’m really hoping we’re a one round success story! What about you??

@Luna1108 that’s good that you feel better on them. what strength clomid are you on? I take 50mg and this is my third cycle.

@Suki2020 are you being monitored with scans and bloods monthly. I’m on 50mg but this is first month so will see how it goes and have bloods next week but no scans. Have started accupuncture too

@Suki2020 I’m on 25mg clomid. I was on 50mg last month but overreacted and got too many follicles so the clinic scared me into not trying! Wish I had though Sad

So I’m reeeeeally hoping the 2 I’ve got this month gives me that chance .

Have you felt any changes on the thyroxine?

@Luna1108 god I wish I knew how many follicles... 🙈 it’s mad kind of not knowing too. Are you getting bloods done too this month

@Shelleybe yeah I’ve got my bloods/scan on Monday which will hopefully be the last one and then they’ll have me back for CD21 bloods!

It’s been good knowing about follicles, LH levels etc but god it’s exhausting going back and forth to the clinic every day.

@Shelleybe I had a scan and bloods on cycle 2 and more bloods booked for this cycle.
@Luna1108 no can’t say I feel any different at the moment, dunno if it’s too early to feel any different yet. How long before you noticed a difference?

Hi all, have any of you ovulated AFTER the 5-10 day window with clomid? I'm currently on CD 17 and today is the 10th day from the last pill but I'm not even close to ovulating so slightly concerned?

Any guidance from personal experience would be appreciated 🙌

@lielle I think I have... I had one positive opk but rest all negative including another one I took positive day so that was confusing. Are you sure you haven’t as they say opks aren’t reliable. Are you getting bloods done to see if you have? How long is your cycle that maybe it could still be delayed for you? Sorry I can’t be more help

Thank you @Shelleybe! Yes getting blood work next week, my cycles are quite irregular and my last two were about 45 days! But I thought that was the point in clomid - to induce ovulation during the specified window 😫 anyway will keep testing and temping. Thank you again xx

Maybe it just affects everyone different if get me and on average it’s 5-10 but longer cycle it might still be later? I’m not sure but I would say it’s that so don’t worry keep doing what you can x

@Lielle I ovulated day26 last cycle and I know that as I had a scan so defiantly possible that ovulation just hasn’t happened for you yet. I would keep doing OPK’s

@Shelleybe my husband has driven me to the clinic pretty much every time, bless him. He hates that he can’t help (as all his tests came back great) so he says this is his way of being a part of it all.

@Suki2020 hmmm I’m not sure, think it’s was a gradual thing. Was probably about a month though, suppose it depends on how high your level was to start with maybe?

Does anyone have any ‘implantation tips’? I’ve head of pineapple and Brazil nuts... not sure if there’s anything I can do to help!

@Luna1108 I have a good feeling this month for you! I've heard so many people getting pregnant after going on thyroxine. Maybe this will do the trick for you!

@Marvellouslymadmum how are you getting on? Did you make a decision yet?x

I'm in limbo here. No sign of AF but I have a feeling it's coming. I think my cycle has been lengthened this month which explains why I haven't had AF yet. I think I'll take clomid days 2-6 next time so that doesn't happen and I hopefully ovulate earlier. Looks like IVF will be happening by the looks of it 😔

@chloedancer897 which cycle of clomid is this for you? I took soy isoflavons this month which are supposed to be like natures clomid, it was month one on them and I took them day 2-6 so I'll probably try them again next month different days and slightly stronger and if that doesn't work I'll try the clomid. I've also just worked out my Lp is really irregular, it can change each month and varies from 9-17 days so when I speak to the doc next week I'll mention that and see if that gets me anywhere! I think I may have pcos or a thyroid problem as they run in the family so will get them to check those too hopefully! Hope you get an answer either way soon x
