@conall hope your appointment went well.

@Scirocco I'm afraid I don't know much about AMH. Hopefully they'd take both results into account for treatment. Can understand you being worried though.

conall · 31/03/2021 14:52

@Scirocco did they not say you might need your test again? That's a big jump but try not to worry about it too much, wait until you hear from the clinic. Hopefully your wait won't be too long 🤞🏻

Thanks @florafoxtrot it did! We are now officially on the waitlist she said it could be up to 9 months which we are happy about since I had heard that it was double that time! So I'm definitely relieved. She's taken my word in regards to my weight but once we get to the clinic at Edinburgh they will weigh me then - my BMI is under 30 but now she's wanting me at 25 😱 I don't know how I'll do that since it's taken years to get me to under 30 but I'll just keep up with my diet. She said once I seen the dr's at the clinic they will want to run tests on DH & I again.

I'm happy to hear your appointment is so soon! It's hard not to worry but I'm sure everything will be OK 🤞🏻 it's good that they are wanting to check this before starting IVF just to make sure everything can go smoothly. I'm happy its April too - as you said March has been so slow! What clinic are you at?

conall · 31/03/2021 15:46

@pixelflower thank you! We are now officially on the waitlist for the clinic. The wait time can be up to 9 months but with how this year has been already, hopefully it'll fly be!

willithappen · 03/04/2021 14:05

Update gals - period finally arrived! 4 days late but it's all systems go for FET now! Start progynova today and will phone clinic Monday and I guess get dates for when I need to go in.

pixelflower · 03/04/2021 14:56

Why is it always late!? Excited for you to get going. Had to look up prognynova.

willithappen · 03/04/2021 15:20

@pixelflower think egg collection knocked things off a bit, so was a 32 day cycle this month!

pixelflower · 03/04/2021 15:50

@willithappen how long is yours normally?

willithappen · 03/04/2021 17:07

28 days usually on the mark so been a frustrating one! But never mind we're here now and starting the FET process. Think transfer will be in 2.5 weeks

LabradorMum · 04/04/2021 09:05

Woo hooo @willithappen can’t wait to hear how you get on 😁

Scottishrunner · 04/04/2021 09:23

Hi everyone, after watching this thread for a while I thought I’d finally take the plunge and post. My husband and I have recently started investigations with GCRM which has confirmed I have fairly severe PCOS (low-normal BMI). Whilst I expected this it was slightly overwhelming to see the results of my ovarian assessment including my (very) high AMH and to find out I have a subseptate uterus. We have our initial consultation coming up this week. Trying not to feel despondent but wondering if this will ever happen for us!

Kitekat81 · 04/04/2021 10:04

@Scottishrunner hello! 👋 I've got my initial consultation with GCRM this week as well. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum to you - very low AMH and follicle count.

Kamiros · 04/04/2021 10:18

Great news @willithappen.

Hi @ Scottish runner. I'm also with GCRM, very low amh here. I'm on day 3 of stims, having a bit of an emotional day today.

Kitekat81 · 04/04/2021 11:24

Sorry you are feeling down today @Kamiros. Wishing you lots of luck for your cycle!x

Kamiros · 04/04/2021 11:28

@Kitekat81 Thank you. I've felt great the last 3 days so hopefully it won't last. We're about to go for a walk along the beach which might help.

Scottishrunner · 04/04/2021 12:47

@Kitekat81hopemgour appointment goes well this week! Are you also having investigations via the NHS?

@Kamiros wishing you all the best for your cycle and hope you feel better soon, a walk on the beach sounds like a lovely idea. Probably not the best day to ask but how have you found your experience with GCRM so far?

Kamiros · 04/04/2021 13:55

@Scottishrunner Thanks - walk seemed to do the trick. We've found them really good so far. We had a few issues at the start around getting in touch with them but I think that was down to them being so busy after being closed. Had regular calls from our nurse over the past couple of week just checking in. I guess the real test is if they can get my low amh ovaries to do something in the next week.

willithappen · 05/04/2021 09:47

Hey ladies
AF arrived on Saturday so I'm booked in for scan to check lining on 14th :)

florafoxtrot · 05/04/2021 09:55

@conall - we are in Aberdeen, self funded though as we already have a DD.

Great news about the arrival of the witch @willithappen! 14th doesn't seem to far away for the process moving on again.

Hope you have a better day today @Kamiros.

Welcome @Scottishrunner Smile

willithappen · 05/04/2021 10:07

@florafoxtrot exactly :) feel like it's already started though since I'm on the progynova tablets until then, so much better tablets than injections haha

pixelflower · 05/04/2021 10:53

Welcome @Scottishrunner. I hope your consultation helps you feel more hopeful.

@kitekat81 good luck for your consultation 😊

@Kamiros glad a walk helped you feel better and hope it's continuing today.

@willithappen 14th will be here before we know it!

@LabradorMum how you doing?

Kitekat81 · 05/04/2021 11:39

@Scottishrunner I started my investigations with the NHS but pretty much got as far as I can get, because we are "unexplained" we would need to wait probably at least another year before we could start IVF on the NHS. I've got low ovarian reserve so I don't really want to hang around, so need to bite the bullet and crack on privately.

@Kamiros glad you are feeling better!

@willithappen eek exciting!

Can I ask a question about Glasgow ACS please? Just heard from someone a bit ahead of me in the process that once a person gets to the top of the waiting list it's then a case of phoning up each period and if there's a space then it's allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so that like trying to get a GP appointment there's no guarantee as it depends on how quickly a person can phone and who else is phoning, rather than treatment being scheduled for you!? So someone could get to the top of the list but miss out month after month and just have to keep trying to get through.

Does anyone know if that's true, because if so then I'm going to need to get my head round yet another indefinite amount of waiting... Don't know how much more my nerves can take...

itsmschanandlerbong · 05/04/2021 18:02

We're still waiting here but not long to go now hopefully! Consents appointment this week with test results, then I can book in on my next period! Hopefully in around 2-3 weeks. Feeling a bit anxious about getting those test results. Last time it was checked, my AMH was on the lower end of normal, hopefully it's not dropped too much 🙈

@Scirocco I'm not sure about it being a first come first served kind of thing, but I do know that you don't always get booked in on your first month and so they will try their best to book you the following month. I'm a few weeks away from this stage so I'll let you know!

Welcome @Scottishrunner. Sorry I don't have PCOS so can't answer your question but good luck with your consultation.

That's great news @willithappen!

@Kitekat81 best of luck with your consultation this week!

So sorry to hear your news @LabradorMum ❤️

willithappen · 05/04/2021 18:29

@Scirocco I think Aberdeen are similar but not as bad. They have a limited number of people they can see and go through the process that month, so it does depend on you getting booked in for that. I was worried about the same with my FET and with my period being later. I'd imagine if they didn't get you in the month you call up then you can work out when your period may be for the following month and they would provisionally book you in for then.
I can't imagine you'd potentially be put off for so long.

It is frustrating having things wait for period arriving. I know the three of us in here who were Aberdeen and due to start around the same time all ended up being on different schedules. We sort of bobbed back and forth on who was ahead of who as well because of some periods being earlier and some later. I have learned to never plan ahead with this process as hard as that is lol
Super hard for me because I have already calculated a due date based on a potential transfer date (that I don't even have) and now getting carried away with myself about an early 2022 baby

LabradorMum · 05/04/2021 18:45

Hi @pixelflower how are you keeping? I’m actually really good thank, started a new health and fitness programme today and actually feel really good about it. Going to aim for loosing 3 stone sounds like a lot but want to be the healthiest I can.

Got a review with the clinic in a couple of weeks. And hopefully have some good news about another cycle but not saying to much as I don’t want to jinx anything but mistakes were made in my cycle but I am not dwelling on it I concentrating on what’s in front of me not what’s behind.

@willithappen it’s hard not to get carried away when you have waited so long.
