Oh my god! What a SHIT morning.

Went for my scan and blood test, all fine, my dose of meriofert is going up slightly from tonight.

But I forgot to take in my covid swabs! Traffic was horrendous getting, I was late and then I realised I didn't have the fucking swabs!
Had to drive the hour home, get the swabs, drive the hour back and then the hour home again!

What really sent me over the edge was waiting in the waiting room for 30 minutes for someone to literally come and take the bag from me! Furious.

Have an awful headache now.

Not a dreadful day, but a very irritating!

Hi all, well I'm officially on stims now 😳 and serves me right for being smug with the injections.. the gonal f is a bit of a whopper to get in!

Having to inject 1.5 water with 3.5 powders is such a faff!!

I’m fine thanks @Freezerbump. We found out today that we have 3 Frosties out of the 7 blastocysts and obv there’s 1 in me also. So the extra day meant we got another one which I’m very pleased about. Good luck with the stims, the first one is always a bit tricky! I sliced my finger open on the first one and I was on my own! All because of the glass ampule! But it definitely does get easier 👍

@ivftake1 what a nightmare, hope you feel a bit better this evening. Oh I hear you...I had 1.5 water to 5 vials but again it does get easier and you will get quicker. My friend who’s a midwife said even their first year students wouldn’t be expected to mix medication like that...we don’t give ourselves enough credit do we? Xx

@Freezerbump ermmm I’m not sure haha. I feel like I’m being incredibly negative and really don’t want to be! I’m just finding this round a lot harder than last time. I think maybe because it’s costing us so much money as our first round was NHS. How are you doing? How are you finding the stims?

Loads of glands in my groin have swollen up too, wondering if it’s a reaction to the injections?! I literally can’t put into words how much I love my dog right now 😂 he’s just been SO so lovely the past few weeks, so loving and gentle. It’s like he knows. Now I’m tearing up writing this, bloody hormones

@ivftake1 I was on high dose menopur so it was 1.5 water to 375 menopur! Xx

Ah ok, I think with whatever I'm taking you can get 6 powders to 1 water.

Are you nhs? Very strange you've had no tests. I find the tests a pain in the arse to be honest. I think all the nurses do too.

Meriofert and fostimon have been fine, hard to say if I feel any differently really! Maybe a little bit more teary. Injections have been ok, slightly stingy but getting used to it.

@Raggity19 oh I can't wait for this to kick in... I'm hoping i don't have some sort of irrational episode at work :/

I just have one big water syringe to squirt in to a container with powder/tablet thing in the bottom, then I take 450 a day for 7 days, then drop to 375 and add menopaur at day 8...

it appears I'm on full whack everything so I'm ready for a rollercoaster and holding on tight!

The needles are getting gradually larger.... I'm not looking at the menopaur one until I have to in case there's a pattern forming..

Scan next Friday to see how it's going, then the Monday, and pencilled in for EC on the 28th (if I grow any!)

So it's down to the old body now to do its thing, I'll get myself in the next flap when I find out what's going on on Friday I think.. one step at a time

@Freezerbump wow that is a full cocktail!! I’m sure you’ll be fine though and the one step at a time approach is the best way to be during the process. There’s that many different stages so it’s good to just focus on the one thing and celebrate when you get to the next one otherwise you can get easily overwhelmed can’t you! Btw the menopur needles aren’t large so don’t worry 😊

Just got geared up for my first cetrotide this morning and it has to be left out of the fridge for half an hour before using

@Freezerbump I’m sure you’ll be fine, I think most people seem to have few symptoms on stims. I’m just an over analyser!

Just been for my scan and have 16 measuring between 11-17mm. Think they’re still looking at egg collection Monday but back in tomorrow morning for another scan. Can’t believe it’s so close. Hope everyone’s doing ok. X

I'm private with crgh and they ask for swabs on day 6 every cycle. Maybe that just an extra they like to do.

Cetrotide was fine, bit of delayed stinging but the actual injection was easy despite the needle being much bigger!

Yep they're going full pelt on the med front with me, hoping it's not going to create pants quality eggs as a result but I have no control over that so no real point in worrying I suppose..

I think this long protocol suits me.. I get a week or so between each step to work through the panic before the next one begins, although I keep waking up at the crack of dawn on a day off which is irksome!

What will be will be I guess, a bit fatalistic but maybe if it's meant to be it will be

Meanwhile I have everything crossed (mainly my legs as I'm drinking loads as instructed) for you all xx

I think I wrote on here a whole back but can't remember I hope everyone's getting on ok. It's been really helpful knowing I'm not alone!
First cycle of IVF for me and starting my first shot of buserelin tomorrow! Eek!

I think I'm out :( started bleeding pink again, it's bit more than Monday and feels like my period is coming :( I just want to cry.

Took my cetrotide this morning at 8:15, just had a panic that I have an appointment at the clinic at 8:30 tomorrow so would need to take it early! I know you can't mess with cetrotide so I've managed to move the appointment luckily.

God this is hard work!
