Cripes.... those of you that do this with kids already are flipping hero's...

Had my tween niece for the weekend, and with her hormone soaked teary meltdowns over a defunct iPad charger battling with my somewhat (I now realise) "promoted" level hormones which led me to have to deploy myself to the kitchen for some simmering rage baking in order not to lose my shit..

(thankfully on day 5 of stims I've retained a modicum of self awareness that I may not be at my most patient rational self so take myself off to have a word with myself)

After an hour of mutual sulking silence we called a truce, ate warm baked goods and curled up with a movie under a blanket..

The emotional rollercoaster of having smalls around all the time while doing this must be exhausting! Hi 5 ladies.. hi 5

Mine is only 2.5 so less emotional (maybe!). He's a welcome distraction sometimes to be honest!

I’m awake! The sleep was great. I was so so nervous about being sedated but it was honestly lovely. So relaxing. Got 9 eggs so I’m pretty pleased with that. DPs just going in for his SSR and then we can go home xx

Omg I was like ‘I’m chatting shit aren’t I’ haha. The embryologist has just come in and 6 are mature so they’re going to do ICSI with them. They also found moving sperm whereas last time it was occasionally twitching. Going home now. Feel so relieved but anxious because last time it was here when we failed xx

I have my egg collection either tomorrow or the next day. Have to wait for the call later.

Feeling quite level, (maybe that's my depression but at least it's helpful in this way).

I'm fairly nervous about the sedation, I've had two generals and one c section before but still! It's the unknown.

@ivftake1 no I wasn’t awake but they don’t put you properly to sleep like a general. I don’t remember anything, it was very relaxing. My pulse was so high beforehand, but it was honestly absolutely fine xx

I’ve just tested before on an internet cheapie and I can defo see a shadow of a line. So I’ve just been out an bought 2 frers they are on offer in Superdrug if yous need any! Gonna try an hold out till the morning to do one. I’m only 6dp5dt today and I promised myself I wouldn’t test early but here I am! 🤷‍♀️
