Hi ladies, I’ve been through all of my fertility screening tests etc and am due to start my first and hopefully only round of IVF (positive vibes ) soon. I’m looking to share my hopes, experiences and tips and provide support to anyone else expecting to start a cycle soon. The more the merrier!

Not til the 26th! I’ve got spots too which I don’t normally get, but nothing else.

@Sunbird24 and @Tara8 I'm only 3dpt and already obsessing about testing! I have to test on the 29th.

@Sunbird24 you can definitely chalk the test result up to being too early - I read today that the odds of getting a positive test early on can be very small.

Every "symptom" I may have is as much a side effect of the drugs I'm still on which is annoying!

@sunbird24 how strange that our test days are so far apart when our transfer days were the same, I wonder if that's because of the 3 day transfer and 5 day transfer? I'm trying to look at the positives of a negative result and looking forward to being able to eat and drink what I want over christmas and new year!

@Tara8 they’ve told me 2 weeks from transfer. Did we have EC on the same day (7 Oct) but then transfer on different days?

My clinic has been able to freeze two of our embryos on day 5! We've got one more that looks like it might do something by tomorrow, but the embryologist didn't sound that confident. Still, exciting to be another step closer.

To all you waiting to test, wishing you all the best and positive outcomes!! Waiting for embryo results is bad enough, I can't imagine how hard the 2ww is..

Hope those still on stims are feeling ok too!

@Sunbird24, did it make it to freeze despite being a bit slow? For some reason I had it in my head I would end up with 3! Not complaining about my two though of course.

Yes, it was a day behind the others for some reason but it’s now in the freezer with them

Feeling really tearful tonight, sure it’s just hormones but it’s horrible.

@Sunbird24 awwww thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear you're feeling so blue. Hope you can plan one nice treat for yourself tomorrow, no matter how small or simple it seems, to lift your spirits. Glad we're all here for each other xx

P.S. IVF hormone mood swings are the worst!!

@mayihavesomecakeplease I had an extra one frozen on day 6 as well! Hopefully it pulls through :) It'll definitely be the hormones, I hope you get a good sleep and feel better in the morning.

Sorry I've been really quiet, I'm having lining issues (I had the same last month and my frozen transfer got cancelled!). It's getting hard to stay optimistic so i didn't want to pull any of you down as you'll been doing so well with egg collections

Something in my brain made me check again this morning - I think we have a squinter, anyone else see it?

@Sunbird24 Deffo a positive result and may just have something to do with those tears of yours. Hopefully tears of joy now 🥰 Crying and insomnia were my giveaway symptoms. Fingers crossed for a strong little bean xxx

@ivfjourney5 sorry to hear you're having lining issues. How are they treating the matter? Hope you get the support you need - am rooting for you xxx

I've just had a call from the clinic. 6 eggs have fertilised but all poor quality so they want to put 2 back today instead of waiting until weds. They said my chances of pregnancy are significantly lower now. I'm gutted.

Sorry @Lolly2020 - try not to let what they said influence you. It only takes one after all. Hoping the transfer goes well today and sending you and the two em-babies very sticky vibes. Stay well and keep us posted xxx

@Lolly2020 That's tough to hear negative news from the clinic. Wishing you all the best with your transfer and fingers crossed for one or two little successes!

@Lolly2020 ‘Significantly lower’ does not mean impossible. You might just have a couple of little fighters ready and raring - whilst our bodies can be frustrating at times, it can also do amazing things ;)

Yes @lolly2020 it's not over yet, and you have 2 little ones in there so that should increase your chances! There's so many success stories online of people with different grades and different transfer days so don't give up hope! I know how you feel though, when you get that call on day 3 when you're really not expecting it!

@ivfjourney5 please don't feel like you're pulling people down, that's what we're all here for; the good, the bad and the ugly! Are they able to help you out with the lining?
