Afternoon all. We just spoke to the hospital and it was BFN. I feel so guilty and cross and it's so shit.

BeHereNowx32 · 10/08/2020 16:09

@Glitterandunicorns so sorry. It’s an awful feeling xxx

@KittyFoster congrats xx

Parkandride · 10/08/2020 16:45

Oh @Glitterandunicorns I'm so sorry, it is so shit. Today will suck I know.
Have you got anything you can look forward to, or get booked? We booked a holiday last time it happened but covid meant we never got there!

Where abouts are you on the journey, was this first transfer?

Please take it easy x

Janefx40 · 10/08/2020 16:47

@Glitterandunicorns oh no! I'm so sorry. IVF can be utterly shit sometimes. You have every right to feel all kinds of cross and fed up. No need to feel guilty tho - you've not done anything wrong - not by getting a BFN or by putting yourself through it. You're amazing and you've done a wonderful thing going through this even tho it hasn't worked out this time

Sending so much love x

Glitterandunicorns · 10/08/2020 16:49

Thanks @Parkandride and @BeHereNowx32.

@Parkandride- this was our first IVF cycle. We are truly blessed to have a child already (secondary infertility). We've had two MCs since our son was born. Obv we were self funding so can't imagine we'll be able to stretch to another cycle, and in this one we didn't get any to freeze.

Glitterandunicorns · 10/08/2020 16:50

@Janefx40 thank you so much for your kind words. X

Bestofyou1982 · 10/08/2020 19:34

@Glitterandunicorns such crappy news. We are all here if you need us. Equally if you need space we get that too. As Janefx40 said, please don't feel guilty, nothing you could do to influence it, which is one of the worst things about ivf, it's all out of our control. Be kind to yourself x much love x

Glitterandunicorns · 10/08/2020 20:10

@Bestofyou1982 thank you so much. X

07hopesanddreams · 10/08/2020 20:14

@Rovera12 I’m feeling a bit low and really trying not to think too much. Praying for good news but any symptoms possibly from the pesseries seem to have all but disappeared so trying not to think its bad news. How are you?

@KittyFoster huge congrats to you, such exciting news

@Glitterandunicorns so sorry to hear your news, its such a shit time and I totally understand. Am on my 3rd fresh cycle and it gets no easier. We’re always here to talk if at any point you do.

Hope you ladies are all well and have been able to keep cool on such a hot day. Keep thinking positive

KittyFoster · 10/08/2020 21:38

I’m so sorry @Glitterandunicorns. Please don’t feel guilty though, there is nothing you can do or don’t do, that will change the outcome. IVf is a numbers game, which makes it even more harder than it already is. Please take care of yourself and we are here if you feel like sharing your emotions. Hugs xxx

KittyFoster · 10/08/2020 21:39

Thanks you so much got your kind words ladies x

Glitterandunicorns · 10/08/2020 23:44

Thank you @KittyFoster and @07hopesanddreams.

@07hopesanddreams I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much about symptoms. Any symptoms you may experience can be good signs or just down to progesterone or bad signs, so if possible, it's a lot easier to try to ignore them. Or if you're anything like I was, google them all incessantly ;-) Best of luck.

Parkandride · 11/08/2020 09:13

Oh @glitterandunicorns please don't feel like you should feel more ok about this because it's secondary infertility, you have every right to want to expand your family. The cost is an additional kick in the face too. How are you feeling today?

@07hopesanddreams when is test day for you? I'm trying not to symptom spot, so many people do get them, so many have nothing and still have success. Every twinge is like: Is it period? progesterone? pregnancy? gahhh

SpyroC · 11/08/2020 09:55

@Glitterandunicorns I am so sorry to see your news. Please take care of yourself. The feelings of guilt are horrible and I sometimes experience them myself when I'm having a low moment on the ivf rollercoaster of emotions. But as others have said there really is nothing to feel guilty about. I think we just want an explanation and when there really isn't one our mind considers it must be something we did or didn't do which it clearly isn't! If you can, make some nice plans to look forward to.

Sorry for not updating yesterday. Surprisingly, we got the all clear to go away. As soon as I got off the phone to the nurse we packed up the car and embarked on the 5 hour journey! My hcg levels had dropped significantly and are low enough for them to be happy that it is "self-resolving". Obviously, it's not the happy ending we wanted but as I said before I knew I wasn't "normal' pregnant so this is the best ending to an awful situation. Thank you all for your ongoing kind words. X

Glitterandunicorns · 11/08/2020 10:21

@SpyroC thank you so much. I'm so sorry for how things turned out for you. I hope you're able to enjoy your time away. X

Rovera12 · 11/08/2020 10:38

@07hopesanddreams I am alright, except for the cramps since day 6 and it goes down to my leg. Praying it’s a positive one. Test day is on Friday, hoping to test tomorrow if I agree with myself to test.
How are you feeling generally ?

@SpyroC so sorry it ended this way, am glad you are off to have some nice time. 👍

07hopesanddreams · 11/08/2020 10:52

All you ladies are so lovely. I talk to my other half but there is nothing quite like talking to people going through everything you are, thank you 😊

@Glitterandunicorns very much trying not to symptom spot. Thankfully work is quite busy so keeps my brain occupied at the minute.

@Parkandride my official test date is on Thursday. Can’t believe its that time already. I like the PUPO bubble for the moment.

@Rovera12 fingers crossed all the symptoms are positive. I was thinking of testing early but really not sure...an working from home so don’t have to really face anyone if its bad news! Good luck if you test tomorrow, only have to wait until Thursday for me. Generally feeling fine to be honest, I’ve had OHSS before so thankful not to really have that and just the odd stomach ache but feels more like period cramp you sometimes get but who knows. Your mind likes to play tricks on you doesn’t it!

Parkandride · 12/08/2020 09:04

Urgh just feel so sad and tearful today Sad tried some 2ww fertility yoga this morning and it got all meditative and "your baby will come to you in time" - I just wanted a nice stretch not all the emotional woo, had to turn it off and cry.

How is everyone?

Are you testing today @rovera12?

Rovera12 · 12/08/2020 09:32

@Parkandride I was not brave enough to test. All symptoms disappeared for now.
I really don’t know why I am not having any symptoms. Praying it’s a good one though.
How are you doing ?

claireabell10 · 12/08/2020 15:34

Hi ladies, have only posted once before but just wanted to say it's comforting reading all the messages. I'm 5 days in to my 2ww, no symptoms other than having a really short fuse!

What's the earliest people have tested? or should i just be patient?

Sending positive thoughts to those that need them. x

Rovera12 · 12/08/2020 16:06

@claireabell10 if you can I would advice you to be patient . I almost tested this morning at 10dp5dt but I said no it’s only two days away.

07hopesanddreams · 12/08/2020 20:19

I just found our I’m being made redundant the day before my OTD and no real symptoms going on either. Sometimes the world is really out for you it seems. IVF is hard enough on its own without additional complications! Sorry just needed to say it out load so to speak and have a bit of a rant!

07hopesanddreams · 12/08/2020 20:49

@Rovera12 Good luck for Friday. How are you feeling?

@claireabell10 the fun of the 2WW! Are you on a fresh or frozen cycle? I’d always try snd wait until OTD, especially for a fresh cycle where you have a trigger. Although have seen a mix of positive & negative results when people tested earlier. Guess with a frozen cycle your body has no trigger hormone to confused a pregnancy test. If you can hold out I would but I know its easier said than done. I’ve read some people testing everyday as the other extreme. I just try and keep myself occupied so I think about it as little as possible but doesn’t stop the mind wondering still!

Rovera12 · 12/08/2020 22:11

Hi @07hopesanddreams so sorry to hear about your job. Ivf is stress already and now no job .
I pray you get a positive with all of this going on .

Well well well, I am feeling very miserable like scared and worried. I go to the loo every other hour to check , few twinges here and there , a bit of constipation (that is a normal me).
I have no sore boobs either , on my monthly cycle I rarely get symptoms like Sore boobs . Few times I get cramps before or on cycle day 1.

I am trying my best not to think negative , hubby is so relaxed about the whole thing. He’s positive that there a something growing, maybe he’s doing that to make me feel good. 🤷‍♂️

How are you feeling? When is OTD?

Rovera12 · 12/08/2020 22:13

@07hopesanddreams been thinking if it’s normal my two fresh cycles I have tested the trigger between day 4/6 or 7 and never positive . People claim it is suppose to be in ones system up until day 12.
