Just that really, I know it's a difficult time for so many people, but clinics shuttered just as DP finally agreed to get his semen analyisis done. My progesterone was normal, and I have regular periods, so I don't think Clomid would be an option for us. We've been trying for a year and a half, and I am 35 on Saturday.

If we do get a referral, and need IVF, how long will that take? So many questions?

Thanks

@LouScot sorry to hear you are not having a great day with that news. I don't really understand the numbers but I understand that it is not what you wanted to hear. Exciting you almost have a sperm donor tho! I think all of us are worried about weight gain during lock down it is so hard to stay motivated so don't beat yourself up. Keep us posted on how you get on! xxxxx

Daisz · 26/06/2020 14:40

@BeHereNowx32 How are things progressing for you? I called this morning and have been told to start the tablets on Sunday, and I am due back in on the 14thJuly for a scan to check womb lining.

BeHereNowx32 · 26/06/2020 19:53

@Daisz that’s great news!
My scan is on Monday morning to check my lining. So, will have a better idea by then. Hoping all ok, as a few times my lining was 6mm (on failed cycles). Want it to be a little thicker 🤞 hope you’re feeling ok

Daisz · 26/06/2020 21:51

@BeHereNowx32 That's great. Good luck for Monday, hope it all goes well. So we are around 2 weeks apart with treatment as it stands at the moment. I am feeling not too bad, just normal af hormonal type symptoms. I have stalked up on raspberry and cranberry tea, so hopefully that will help with the medication. Let us know how get on, and hopefully all that tea/ juice will have paid off. 🍀🤞

BeHereNowx32 · 29/06/2020 09:22

How is everyone?
Had my scan, and my lining is 7.1mm. So, I will start progesterone pesseries on Wednesday. My transfer is next Monday. Hoping my lining will thicken up a bit more before then.
Hope everyone is well

Daisz · 29/06/2020 10:22

Morning @BeHereNowx32 glad it all went well this morning. Transfer a week today? That is exciting but also nerve racking. Wishing you all the best and thanks for the update!x

RonRon1 · 29/06/2020 11:11

@beherenow32 that's wonderful news. I am so excited for you! I will be thinking of you next week, please keep us posted! I still don't know when round 2 is going to start, DH going in tomorrow to drop off sample so I am going to ask him to ask as I think they must be getting fed up of me! :)

LouScot · 29/06/2020 12:24

Exciting @BeHereNowx32 - hope all goes well x

BambiOnIce80 · 29/06/2020 13:02

Oooh, Monday will be here before you know it @BeHereNowx32 - how exciting! 🤩 Fingers crossed for your lining coming along nicely 🤞

Sounds like things are moving along nicely with you too @RonRon1 🙂

How are you feeling now @LouScot? Do you have an appointment with the clinic to go through your results?x

Nothing much happening at my end, TBH. Feeling a bit apathetic about it all... which I guess is better than the tearful, desolate and obsessive of last week! 🙄 With the NicStur saying that people can come into our homes (from a social distance, obvs) from the 15th of July, I'm shifting my focus to refurbing my living room 🎨 🛋️ That should hopefully keep me distracted for a bit 🤞

BeHereNowx32 · 29/06/2020 13:06

Thank you everyone. Yeah, little nervous about it all. But need to try the mindful app, and just chilling out best I can!

@RonRon1 I hope he can get some answers for you.

@BambiOnIce80 that’s a lovely idea. Exciting to do the house up. We were just in ikea today, which was actually calm! Get there early to queue though (if you plan to go 🙂)

Daisz · 29/06/2020 13:45

@BeHereNowx32 Just wondering if there was any mention of partners being allowed in for the fet? I know currently they are not allowed in for appointments, but not sure if they are allowed in for the most important part!

BeHereNowx32 · 29/06/2020 13:53

@Daisz no, they aren’t allowed in for the transfer either! I’m sad about that.

I struggle with it too. I always need the gas and air 🤦‍♀️

Daisz · 29/06/2020 14:13

@BeHereNowx32 Oh that is really disappointing, I just assumed they would be able to do something so they could be there. Judging by your timeframe my transfer will be around 3 weeks from now, doubt much will change within that time, but sorry that you will need to go through it alone.Hmm I never knew gas and air was an option for fet. Good to know!

ally99101 · 29/06/2020 18:59

Hi all

Certainly sounds like things are moving for some of you which is great. Best of luck to everyone!

It's a shame the current circumstances mean partners can't be there, manageable for routine things like blood tests etc but its certainly sad they can't be there on the big day!

In a weird turn of events, the nurse ended up calling me and cancelling my AMH test, saying it wasn't required for IUI. I said I was happy to pay for it and have it regardless, if there was a benefit to getting it but she was pretty adamant that it wasn't required.

So instead hoping to have a HyCoSy in the next week or 2, just waiting for my period to appear then I can book it in. Then it'll be trying to get an earlier consultation as currently booked in first week in August due to the first available date for the previously booked AMH test.

unknownscot · 29/06/2020 21:12

We've been pushed back even more with GCRM. I'm gutted.

And no word from NHS where we even are on the list! 😢

LouScot · 29/06/2020 21:42

Hi @unknownscot, oh that's rubbish, sorry to hear that. What are they saying to you? I'm with them too, and they've said patients who have had initial tests etc but weren't part of the coronavirus interruptions will hopefully start to begin at end of August, so really interested to hear what you've been told x

unknownscot · 29/06/2020 22:19

@LouScot
We've not been given a date at all. At the end of May we were told July. In June we were told September. Today we were told they can't give us a date.
It's messing with my head so much!

Can I ask when you had your appointments with them? I think you might be ahead of us in the list. X

BambiOnIce80 · 30/06/2020 09:08

I know how you feel @unknownscot 💐 We've gone from being on July's FET list at EFREC to "maybe before the end of the year", which is infuriating for someone who's a planner! 🤯 I know they don't want to make promises that they can't keep, especially when no one knows when/if there'll be a second peak, but if they could just say something like 'if things keep going at the current rate, then your cycle will be X date, but we'll phone you whether it's going ahead or not' then I could put it out of my mind until 'X' date. Doesn't seem to be a tactic any of the clinics are willing to embrace though 😏

RonRon1 · 30/06/2020 13:06

@unknownscott, i am so sorry to hear this. It is just awful. Even if we could even get dates.

I was only days from injections for round 2 and they still can't say when I will be starting again as they are prioritising woman over 40 so need to see how the clinic copes then take it from there. But literally can not say if its weeks or months I will be waiting. The staff must get so frustrated as the rules must be changing everyday. It must also be even more frustrating for people who are still investigating and therefore have a long wait if a problem is identified.

LouScot · 30/06/2020 15:23

@unknownscot - I had a virtual consultantation in April (I think?) but had been in contact with the clinic since the new year - what about you? I was told end of August is when they'd be starting but not when i would be able to start if you see what I mean. I don't know how it all works but to be honest I'm reluctant to pay out all the money and have it sitting in their bank account if I'm not able to start for months, I'd rather it was in mine - it's so expensive!

@bambionice80 what?!?! Maybe before the end of the year?! Really?! I'm amazed, you're getting a FET, right? Wow, perhaps they're just trying to underpromise and over deliver so as not to get your hopes up? How frustrating for you. Could you perhaps go down the "it's incredibly frustrating and I'd like some clarity for my emotional wellbeing" route??

Thinking of all you ladies x

BeHereNowx32 · 02/07/2020 20:37

How is everyone?
@Daisz when are you next at the hospital again? I’m getting more and more nervous the closer it gets to my transfer. Worrying that my lining isn’t going to be thick enough 🙁
I spoke to the doc who said I could stay on the tablets a week longer, but she felt my lining was completely fine to go ahead. I decided just to go ahead on Monday because I don’t want to mess things up.

Hope everyone is alright

LouScot · 02/07/2020 21:28

@BeHereNowx32 oh, hope the anxiety settles or at least that you can cope with it. Good news that the doctor thinks you'll be fine to go ahead. Sending you lots of nice thick lining thoughts x

unknownscot · 02/07/2020 21:35

@LouScot
Ah I understand. Yeah, we've been in touch since February and had zoom consultation in May. We've had bloods for AMH, internal ultrasound and SA. We've signed consent forms etc. Just waiting for nurse appointment and then egg retrieval date. We've to have an antagonistic approach and have FET at later date (approx 1.5months after retrieval) Hence, why I'm keen to get started as soon as.
But seems like we are just weeks apart in terms of waiting list so fingers crossed we can share some information and be there for each other when the time comes!
How are you doing?

I ovulated a few days ago - still praying for a little natural miracle! X

unknownscot · 02/07/2020 21:36

@BeHereNowx32 wishing you all the best x

Daisz · 02/07/2020 22:29

@BeHereNowx32 sorry to hear you are feeling anxious which is completely understandable. I started on the Progynova on Sunday, and I am not due to go back for my scan until a week on Tuesday, so a good while yet.
I know it has been a long wait to get here, but looking at the bigger picture, if you feel more relaxed waiting an extra week, and you would feel more comfortable then there is no harm considering it. I get that you want it done, so do I, but if you feel you want to give it a little while longer to put your mind at ease then maybe that is what you need to do. The tww is such a stressful time as it is, without adding needless extra anxiety, if it can be helped. I don't know how to get that extra growth, but I am eating porridge every morning and drinking raspberry tea, I am doing a bit of light excersise every day, nothing too strenuous 30-45minutes of aerobics mostly, plus walking more. I certainly don't feel I am doing enough, and always feel I should be doing something more, but the reality is there probably is not anything else that really can be done, and we both probably just need to be a bit more relaxed. I feel such a mess, 3 years have really taken its toll on me, It has made such a difference, I am just not the same youthful fit person that I was, and I am trying to claw a wee bit of that back but feel like I am failing miserably. I realise that as you have your transfer booked for Monday, you need to get intouch with the clinic tomorrow if you want to delay. Sleep on it and see how you are feeling in the morning.Flowers
