Hi ladies - hope you don't mind me weighing in after being absent for so long! Still do check the thread now and again. Grin

@Danielle2306 - I agree with everyone else in that full flow is CD1, so you would take the Clomid the next day after that I.e. full flow Day 2. However, I have said before that it is important to remember that in different places, Drs advise starting Clomid anywhere between CD2 and CD5! You also don't have to have a period to begin a new Clomid cycle.

My own story - my 2nd cycle of Clomid, I started taking it after having spotted for around 8 days and I randomly allocated myseld a 'CD1'. I definitely then ovulated that following month!! I thought I would have missed the boat, but turns out it is possible. So try to relax Flowers

@LottieDot 3 rounds is incredible!! So so good. We get 1 free round and the waiting list is long. I'm praying we won't need it and that clomid will work but yes if it doesn't; we'll be most likely self funding rather than the wait xx

Carleyxo · 09/01/2020 08:15

I'm sure someone on here recommended a good podcast but I can't remember who it was and I can't seem to find it, can anyone remember? X

LaurenN23 · 09/01/2020 09:07

@Carleyxo I recommended one yesterday called Big Fat Negative - not sure if it's that one?

Carleyxo · 09/01/2020 10:01

Yes I think that was it thank you @LaurenN23 ❤️

Loziliz75 · 10/01/2020 01:16

@Carleyxo I’ve been listening to the podcast on my break on nights and it’s so good to listen too! Thankyou for the recommendation @LaurenN23 xxx

Sylva123 · 10/01/2020 13:35

Hiya everyone, hope your cycles are going as well as can be expected.
Does anyone know what sort of CM I should expect in the two week wait? From what I've seen online it should be dry - is that right? Has that been your experience?

LaurenN23 · 10/01/2020 14:04

@Sylva123 I think dry and sometimes sticky is normal. There's usually less. I've heard a couple of girls on the this thread say that the months when they got their BFPs it was thin milky white. But that's not the case for everyone!

Sylva123 · 10/01/2020 14:07

Ok no worries - just been to the loo and think I have some spotting. I didn't seem to ovulate this month, but my CM was looking like it was at the fertile stage so am really confused! Think I'm just coming on my period so doesn't matter!

Loziliz75 · 10/01/2020 14:11

@sylva123 sorry hun can’t help you on this I’m not very up on the whole CM thing!
I can’t quite believe it, I’ve just done a clear blue opk and I have a solid smiley for the first time since ttc 🙉 I just keep staring at it!! I had a negative on Wednesday forgot to do one yesterday coz I was on nights and just pee’d without thinking then I’ve done today’s now a solid smiley- We should just try and dtd for next few days shouldn’t I?! Xxx

dragonfly1978 · 10/01/2020 14:19

@Sylva123 could you be ovulating now? What day are you? Both months on Clomid I have ovulated and had spotting just before I did with EWCM as well.

dragonfly1978 · 10/01/2020 14:20

@Loziliz75 hooray!!! Yes dtd for the next couple of days. I got my solid smiley on Monday and we dtd on mon, tues and weds so fingers crossed 🤞

Loziliz75 · 10/01/2020 14:26

@dragonfly1978 I know I can’t believe it I’m in shock just sat staring at it 🙈 I’m gunna show the OH when he gets home and hopefully dtd next few days, we have done every other day from CD8 so hopefully following that advice from Sperm to egg it will do the trick 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Feels a bit surreal since I was at Dr’s this morning breaking my heart and asking for counselling referral. Xxx

Sylva123 · 10/01/2020 14:48

@dragonfly1978 I don't think so. I'm on day 21 and my cycles are usually around 24 days. I usually ovulate day 14 or 15 but nothing this month. First time I've ever had CM - it was cloudy the past few days, watery today and now I've got spotting and am emotional so think I've just not ovulated and am starting the period. I really really hope I'm wrong!

@loziliz75 that is amazing, good luck!!! You needed some good news xx

Loziliz75 · 10/01/2020 15:05

@sylva123 Thankyou, yes i did need something. Fingers crossed we can dtd for next few days 🤞🏼🤞🏼... I hope your wrong too about AF coming. Have you been doing opk’s every day? Xxx

Sylva123 · 10/01/2020 19:56

Just been to the bathroom and it's definitely AF. Which means if it's full flow tmw it's just been a 22 day cycle. This is really shit. I'm so gutted. So exhausted.

Hope you manage to dtd tonight and the next couple of days. Could be your month!

dragonfly1978 · 10/01/2020 20:33

@Sylva123 oh no 😥. Are you just on 50mg?? How many cycles have you done?

LottieDot · 10/01/2020 20:33

Sorry about AF @sylva123

@Loziliz75 we are so cycle buddies as I got a positive OPK this afternoon, busy weekend for us haha

LottieDot · 10/01/2020 20:36

@slyva123 just seen that it's not full flow yet, theres still a chance it's not AF, fingers crossed for you

Loziliz75 · 10/01/2020 20:38

@Sylva123 awww I’m so sorry! Sending big hugs to you, it’s really is pants the whole process. I’m totally gutted for you!! Have you had short cycles like that before?

@LottieDot aww congrats, we are gunna have a very busy weekend haha 😂🙈 fingers crossed for us 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Xxx

JadeS174 · 11/01/2020 08:39

Help me out girls! Please. 👏🏼
First day of testing today on CD17 and straight in with solid smiley. This must be a false positive?
I had my follicle tracking scan on Monday and they said my ovaries were empty 😢 fertility nurse said it may be too early as I was having long cycles or this months Clomid hadn't worked. I'm highly doubting that since Monday an egg has grown to a mature size.
What do you think? What do I do? X

Sylva123 · 11/01/2020 09:53

Yeah @Loziliz75 I've always had short ones, which is what they were trying to fix with the medication. Once I get a positive opk I'm meant to take progesterone to elongate the cycle but the positive didn't come this time! The only time it's been this short was the month I had a bereavement, but nothing big happened this month to cause stress so it's confusing. So gutted and exhausted at the thought of doing it all again!

@LottieDot thanks for the positivity!

Good luck to you both this weekend!

Sylva123 · 11/01/2020 09:58

@JadeS174 is it the Clearblue advanced that you're using? With that one the first test day is always a blank circle no matter whats happening in your body. That's your baseline and from there it'll start to show flashing smileys / static smileys etc once it detects a change from your first test. So that makes me think the test might be playing up if you haven't had that first blank circle?
Do you have another brand you could try just to double check? Those cheap ones off Amazon are often next day delivery.
Sounds really annoying for you! You just want to rely on the tests! No idea if it's possible for something to show up since Monday, but it could be? It's almost a week and perhaps an egg/follicle can happen in that time? Maybe dtd just in case? Xx

Sylva123 · 11/01/2020 09:58

Sorry Jade I meant Clearblue Advanced Digital. Those are the ones that have the blank circle on the first test.

Loziliz75 · 11/01/2020 10:46

@JadeS174 sorry I can’t shed any light on this and I can’t really advise. It’s the first time I’ve got a solid smiley so I have no idea 🤷🏽‍♀️ What I would say is to try a cheap opk and see what that says and try and dtd as if it was a true positive then if it is your not missing the opportunity? Hope it’s not a false positive for you though 💗🤞🏼👏🏼

Thanks @sylva123, have you got full flow today? I understand how exhausting it is and disappointing. Xxxx
