Hope everyone is okay and had a good Christmas. I was 2 days late but then AF arrived yesterday. Fingers crossed for cycle 2! 🤞🏼 x

@LaurenN23 I didn't get my progesterone results from my first round of Clomid so don't know. I know it has to be over 30 to show ovulation but thats all I know. Charlotte who got her BFP on here had progesterone over 100.

Also, what does everyone think about holidays? I feel like me and my OH could do with going away somewhere lovely as it's been a challenging year, but I feel a bit in limbo. We could be pregnant, we might not get pregnant for months, or we might have to start IVF come March. The timing is tricky, but I feel like we need to do something special because I'm so tired of life feeling "on hold".

I'm going all in with the medication, the vitamins, the preseed, the cough mixture for improving cm, a good diet and low stress. It's got to happen for us sooner or later.

@Carleyxo we've got a long list of places we'd like to go - there's a pretty lake (Di Braies) in Italy that could be good in the spring, or something a bit more extravagant like a trip to Canada or Japan... If this is our last year being child-free it could make sense to do something special the two of us, but I always feel in limbo in case I have to go to the hospital or in case my IVF gets booked in or something! We were planning to save money and not go away... But now I feel like we should just go! I suppose we could fit any treatment around it, and apparently its safe to fly during early stages of pregnancy...

Are you going to go away?

@sylva123 we are planning and saving the money for a holiday on sept/Oct and if we get pregnant great we don’t have the holiday but then if we don’t get pregnant we get away and have some us time 💗 No it doesn’t get easier but I’m determined to think positive and like yourself try all the above to help get us a success story 💫 xxx

Hi would it be okay if I joined here?

I had my first month of Clomid (50mg) on days 2-6 last month but just got AF today. We are 18months ttc our first with an unexplained diagnosis. I've had a HSG and Lap&dye. I know clomid isnt usually recommended for Unexplained but my cycles were becoming long (36days+) so my consultant thought this might help despite my previous progesterone test showing Ovulation.

I had follicle monitoring scans which showed a large dominant follicle ( got to 27mm!) But didnt get offered any extra blood tests. This cycle has only been 30 days though so more regular than the last couple!

Feeling pretty down about AFs arrival so seeing the success stories on here are great! Would love to chat with people who "get" it.

@loziliz75 that's such a good idea. Book it and if we do get pregnant we get our wish and just cancel the holiday. If we don't get pregnant then at least we get to go and make lovely memories somewhere. That's settled it. Thank you x

Welcome @LottieDot, don’t worry this is a place where we all ‘get it’ we have all had the same emotions and thoughts and this little group has saved my sanity!! It’s so disheartening getting AF but I love seeing the success to ties on here, it keeps me going 💓 have you been trying anything to help like following the sperm to egg idea, preseed, vitamins etc and ovulation tests? Xxx

We dtd a lot (about 8 days in a row up to and including O this month) but are going to do SMEP this month,as although DHs SA results were normal I worry it was too much this month! I've tried pretty much everything haha,use preseed on and off, have used pregnacare vitamins but back just on folic acid, did the pineapple and Brazil nuts this month but unfortunately nothings worked! How about you? Xxx

Also - just jumping in on the holiday chat but we have a deposit on one for Septembet - really hoping we have to delay/cancel!! But if not then at least it's something to look forward too.

Exactly what @Loziliz75 said @Sylva123x memories are important to and we can't stop doing everything. Your appointments will certainly fit around it. We're off to Venice end of March :-) I want a sun holiday but we will probably just save up and then book last min depending on circumstances. Flying is absolutely fine 😀 where do you think you'll go?

Hey @LottieDot certainly join on in. You're story is exactly the same as me - no explanation all tests ok. I did have irregular periods but Clomid helped those. I was advised to have sex every otd. What ovulation tests are you using? I would certainly keep taking the vitamins. Does your other half take them?

Also @Sylva123x I came on yesterday but as usual my periods are soooo light. I had super cramps and back ache yesterday and a little bleeding, a tiny bit more today but not enough for a tampon and i would imagine I won't have much tomorrow. I called the clinic to ask if I class today or yday as day one and she didn't seem concerned and said yesterday would be ok. I have a scan booked for the 6th (11th day I think) and she said If they need me to go back then they'll rebook (if eggs aren't mature enough) so do you think it's not super important what point you start Letrozole? X

@LottieDot I’ve been using conceive plus lube but tempted for this cycle to try preseed, used cheap ovulation tests even though I didn’t even get a line last cycle 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m powering through with them and got some clear blue ones as back up to double check the cheap ones 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ We tried dtd every other day our shifts permitting it. I’m taking folic acid and then tried the cough medicine to help with CM 🙈😂

I saw someone mentioned supplements for their OH but can’t remember which supplements they was taking if anyone can remind me?

@carleygh @Sylva123 my husband surprised me with taking me to New York for my 30th in May so focusing on planning that and then saving for a maybe holiday to Lanzarote dependent on circumstances but least I’ve got something to look forward to but even better if I had to cancel sept holiday 🤪 xxx

@Carleyxo I'm not sure about the days for letrozole. I read that someone started on day 3, but my doc told me to start on day 2, so maybe it can be flexible? Have you started them yet? How are you feeling about this cycle?

@lottieDot welcome! Im in a similar situation - I have a luteal phase defect so not totally unexplained, but I was ovulating like you and have been prescribed it anyway. It is so good having this forum & not feeling so alone with it. And being able to ask silly questions! Nice to have you here.

Really good to hear you've all been booking holidays. Although we've been TTC for 24 months, we've only been married a few months and I'd like us to still do nice things in our first year of marriage!

Thanks @Carleyxo - good to hear from someone in a similar situation! I just use cheapy opks from ebay. DH has used wellman but currently just uses strong Vitiman C, does your other half use any?

@loziliz75 I'm going to try the cough medicine this month too, fingers crossed ha. NyC is amazing, I went about 13 years ago and I'm dying to go back!

@LottieDot welcome! You are nearly the same cycle dates as me. I did my first cycle last month on 50mg which was 30 days long but then I got AF two days ago 😥. Have started the second cycle now 🤞. Good luck this cycle x

It must be flexible I guess as I'm day 3 how bizarre :-) how many days have you got left of taking it? I lost track but I know we're similar days.

Yes @LottieDot my husband takes wellman, vitamin C, Selium - helps keep sperm healthy and keeps them a good size and swim quicker, the same with COQ10 which we both take, Lycopene which boosts fast swimming and he also takes Folic acid as that will increase sperm count.

@Carleyxo I just took my last tablet yesterday, so am expecting to ovulate on the 3rd. So I'm a couple of days ahead. We'll be in our two week wait together!
I take that coq10 as well (so expensive isn't it) and I take fish oil & pregnacare. I'd not heard of lycopene or selenium but will look into them. My OH's sperm is ok but was slightly on the slow side on one of his tests.

Lottie I'm starting the cough mixture this week too!

Ohhh yes we will! Do you have a scan booked? I actually just get it online I think it was around £5? Where did you get yours from? Same as mine, his count was really high but morphology was 2% and is usually 4. She wasn't bothered and didn't comment to much (it was only because I was asking questions) she said because his count was so high it counteracted. I still bought all the vitamins I could 😂 @Sylva123x

Oh blimey mine is about £30 a time from Holland & Barrett!
That's exactly what they said about my OH - a high count, a bit on the slow side, but it counteracted. For some reason he took the high count to be the highest of compliments. Men are so weird when it comes to that stuff!
I don't have a scan booked this time cos she's on holiday til I'm on CD26 and she's the only doctor, they don't have anyone to cover her. Last month she scanned me every 5 minutes, this month I'm totally flying solo. Eeek. When is yours?

Really? I just bought one online - do you know Luisa Zuissmab (the celeb) she has a big blog on TTC and recommended one on her insta.

Oh my gosh don't they just 🤣🤣 because she never spoke much about it, it was only at our last appointment I started to understand it more which is a shame because clomid could of worked if I put into place everything at the start but never mind.

Ohhh really is this your second cycle? Sorry I forget easy. My scan is the 6th 🤩 then that will be the only one until month four. What time of the day do you take your tablet?
