I think it's just the Sainsbury's tests being a bit crap. Done a clear blue and that's negative as well. Negative FRER + negative Clearblue outweighs teeny tiny faint Sainsbury's line. Have to just be real with myself and start again next month!!! Anyone else spending a bloody fortune on tests?!

NicolaF809 · 16/12/2019 12:15

Hi All
New to this :)
On 3rd Cycle of Clomid
Had an egg this month finally after taking 200mg
Hub has 1% sperm morphology though head defects so lots of quantity but not quality.
Anyone got any success stories. X

Loziliz75 · 16/12/2019 13:27

@sylva123 I have no idea on tests so I can’t help you more I’m sorry 😔

@LaurenN23 I’m in your boat too, I’m having no positive ovulation tests I mean not even a faint line!! I’m CD 19, am trying to remain positive but each day passes I lose a bit more hope and get more tearful!! Xxx

Sylva123 · 16/12/2019 13:33

@loziliz75 it's ok, I've been googling and the sainsburys ones have a terrible reputation for faint lines and false positives. I knew in my heart it was negative but just that glimmer of hope...!

CharlotteCx · 16/12/2019 14:47

@Sylva123 yes blue dye ones are known for evaps!

Sylva123 · 16/12/2019 15:00

Yeah no more blue dyes for me. Superdrug pinks & FRER from now on!

LaurenN23 · 16/12/2019 15:12

@loziliz75 glad I'm not the only one! Feel very sad, stupid really - I'm sure it will work for us, we just have to wait 💕

dragonfly1978 · 16/12/2019 15:24

@LaurenN23 I was the same last week and really thought it wasn't going to work and then had a positive on CD16 and CD17 so think ovulated on CD17. That was my first cycle on 50mg from days 2-6 as well. I would say keep testing as it seems to happen later in the month for everyone on Clomid

dragonfly1978 · 16/12/2019 15:26

@Sylva123 the Sainsbury's ones have an awful reputation and I nearly got caught out by them recently for the same reason. Yes have spent a fortune on ovulation and pregnancy tests over the last few months 😂😂

Loziliz75 · 16/12/2019 15:43

Just bought the cough medicine, think the pharmacist thought I was a raving lunatic 🤣🤣 xx

LaurenN23 · 16/12/2019 15:50

@dragonfly1978 amazing!! Fingers crossed there is still time 🤞🏻 don't know what I'd do without this chat sometimes 😂 it's better than google!

LaurenN23 · 16/12/2019 17:37

@dragonfly1978 just wondering, did your opks get gradually darker or did it all of a sudden appear? Mine have either no line at all or the faintest one

Sylva123 · 16/12/2019 17:41

Good luck @Loziliz75! The mad things we do when TTC!

@LaurenN23 my opks get darker towards ovulation and then when it's a positive it's a bit darker than the control line. They start off faint.

Sylva123 · 16/12/2019 17:42

@dragonfly1978 so apparently there are petitions against the Sainsbury's ones with people demanding they stop selling them cos they get so many false positives! Good job I lost my marbles and used them all up today! No more in the drawer to tempt me!

LaurenN23 · 16/12/2019 20:15

@nicolaf809 Welcome! Never heard of anyone on 200mg before, but glad it's made you ovulate, great news. There are loads of success stories on here, I see so many each day so I am sure you're not alone x

carleygh · 16/12/2019 20:54

Oh @Sylva123x I'm so sorry 😩😩 lets hope for the new year! When are you due?

@LaurenN23 @Loziliz75 I agree with the tearful days or gets us down so much :( x

NicolaF809 · 16/12/2019 21:22

Yep tried 50 / 100 / 125 / 150 nothing worked so I made the choice and took more and low and behold an egg at last!
Just wanted to know how likely we are to get preg with hubby’s sperm morphology being 0% - 1% he has quantity and mobility but he’d defects they just don’t wanna work, think 250 mg is max clomid you can take x

carleygh · 16/12/2019 21:36

Hi @NicolaF809 I'm no expert on the SA but what vitamins is he on? X

carleygh · 16/12/2019 21:36

Also @Sylva123x was it you telling me
About the sperm meets egg? X

NicolaF809 · 16/12/2019 22:57

@carleygh he's been taking well man / Vit C / Mutli Vits and D & E I believe his mum works in a
Pharmacy so we've got the best we could get hopefully xx

Sylva123 · 16/12/2019 23:26

@carleygh I was due yesterday but it won't come til I stop the cyclogest. I'm taking it a bit longer so my cycle starts later cos I don't want to ovulate over Xmas and waste a cycle. I'll probably stop it tmw so AF will come Wednesday or Thursday.

And yes it was me talking about the Sperm Meets Egg plan. I downloaded it from Amazon after reading other people talking about it on forums. Not sure if it works but looks like it's worth a shot so I'm doing it next time. Did you manage to dtd on the peak days?

CharlotteCx · 17/12/2019 06:21

@NicolaF809 hiya! My OH had 3% morph, and his urologist advised him to take coq10, selenium, garlic, folic acid, multi vitamins daily. Basically a lot of antioxidants. They must have really helped him as I got my BFP on Sunday ☺️

carleygh · 17/12/2019 07:35

Yes what @CharlotteCx said to @NicolaF809 as I believe morphology is easily adjusted by antioxidants and regulating temperature down there to!

I had a positive Friday later evening 8.30pm and it was the same Saturday morning 7.30am. We did it Friday Saturday and Sunday I'm hoping that's enough as we didn't do it before and we will do it tonight aswell? We will soon see @Sylva123 x

CharlotteCx · 17/12/2019 08:04

@carleygh that'll be more than enough. In my fertile week I ovulated the Friday and we dtd the Sunday Monday Thursday Friday & Saturday x

Sylva123 · 17/12/2019 08:09

Keeping everything crossed for you @carleygh!
