Thank you!! @ComeTheFuck0nBridget

Chichz · 17/11/2019 11:29

@CharlotteCx Sounds really promising! Fingers crossed for you.

I was going to ask something similar regarding spotting/discharge if it's not TMI...

I have had a bit of brown discharge (only enough to see when wiping) since yesterday and wondered if I was going to get my period, but nothing yet. Yesterday was cycle day 28, today when I would be due on if Clomid has worked, so it has already surpassed my expectations! Grin

Just wondered what to expect now, if anyone has had a similar experience - did you get spotting before a period, or could this just be a super light Clomid period in itself? Can't get my ahead around when to start taking my next round haha.

xxx

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 11:43

Chichz - I had spotting on cd28 last month it wasn’t only when I wiped. Was a tiny bit on my underwear but was more a really pale pink. Stayed really light all evening and then the next morning was a full flow. What CD did u ovulate on? Xx

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 11:44

Chichz - if it is AF if your on the 2-6 protocol like me, spotting isn’t classed as CD1, CD1 is the day which is a full flow so you’d take your first pill the day after the full flow xx

BonTon · 17/11/2019 11:48

@Chichz similar for me actually - I had spotting one day before my period fully started on cycle 2. Or could be a good sign if your period doesn’t start today. 🤞🏻
@ComeTheFuck0nBridget - I started on day 2 or 4 depending on when they could get me in for a scan. I think any day from 2-4 is supposed to be fine.

Chichz · 17/11/2019 11:48

Hi @CharlotteCx, not sure if or when I ovulated unfortunately.

I thought the same in that it's more like the end of a period... I definitely wouldn't count it as CD1 yet.

Really hoping AF starts up properly soon! x

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 11:51

Sorry I got you and Carleyg mixed up!

Have you not had a blood test to confirm ovulation? Sorry if you’ve already said on the thread Iv not been on this thread in a few days x x

Chichz · 17/11/2019 11:51

@BonTon - thanks for replying too. Don't want to rule myself out just yet but it's been 24 hours since I first noticed the discharge, so I'd expect something a bit more substantial by now...

Chichz · 17/11/2019 11:52

@CharlotteCx don't worry! I'm the same, I only tend to come on every few days hehe. No I don't get bloods or anything - completely by myself! So got to decide when to start taking the next round. x

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 11:55

You don’t get bloods? That is really bad! How are you meant to know if they are working or not then? I don’t get scans and I thought that was bad but I do get bloods every month! Can you not just request them from the drs as that’s what I do? I literally ring my drs a few days before cd21 and they print off the form and I go to my local hospital for them and get the results the following day? Xx

Chichz · 17/11/2019 12:16

I could do I suppose, but this is just a stop-gap to try to regulate me a bit before IVF now. I'm not officially under the consultant now, I don't think. It's keeping me busy whilst we wait at least!

In some ways I'd rather not know, but this is the tricky bit now - knowing when to start again. Will have to see what develops over the next couple of days, but wish it would make up its mind what's it doing... x

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 12:40

@ComeTheFuck0nBridget I started on CD2 and always take it before bed cos I was scared of the side effects and would sleep through any x

carleygh · 17/11/2019 14:10

@CharlotteCx
Ohhh I have everything crossed for you :)
I ovulated in the end on Thursday so my period is due on the 28th so we will soon see...
yes please keep me updated I like hearing about other people's journeys. It's so interesting as everyone is soooo different I get zero CM at all unless it's brown pre/post period. I also get no symptoms at all except three small spots by my chin this month haha... x

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 14:32

@carleygh I will keep u updated hun. Ah wicked! Did u have bloods to confirm? Yes I like hearing other people's stories too. Makes me feel like I'm not alone lol. Yeah it is weird we're all so different! My CM changes through out the day! Like today it's only a little bit and it's watery but yesterday was thick and pale yellow. I'm starting to feel abit sicky again. I haven't started to spot yet so fingers crossed .. also getting a bit of a headache! X

Goingbacktokansascity · 17/11/2019 16:30

BFN today on clearblue early and FRER. Have a cold, so crampy and nauseous may simply be down to that...rubbish. I’m putting away the tests and just going to wait for AF, maybe this means I’ll get a little Christmas miracle!

Chichz · 17/11/2019 17:09

@Goingbacktocansascity Hope so! How annoying. I'm not looking forward to having to do one this coming week either. X

carleygh · 17/11/2019 21:42

All fingers crossed for you @Goingbacktokansascity

@CharlotteCx I don't have monthly blood tests but I had one on the first round and then the fourth round of Clomid and both bloods came back that I had definitely ovulated... when are you due on? I saw you said you have monthly blood tests that's so good! X

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 22:24

@carleyg I think every borough is different the way they operate with Clomid etc by the sounds of it! I'm due on Tuesday. What Clomid cycle are you on? X

carleygh · 17/11/2019 22:31

Yes it definitely sounds that way! I'm on my last cycle (sixth) what about you? X

CharlotteCx · 17/11/2019 22:47

@carleygh I'm on my 2nd hun of 50mg. Hoping this is both our month 🤞🏻 x

carleygh · 17/11/2019 22:49

Fingers crossed me too :-) I'm on 50mg too. Did you have scans to show how it was working?

CharlotteCx · 18/11/2019 08:37

@carleygh I've not had no scans no, when I asked my gynos Secutary about the scans she didn't know what I was talking about. When I have my next appt with him in Dec I'm going to request one if needed. X

Marmite83 · 18/11/2019 11:55

Hi All, thought I'd pop in and see how everyone's doing. How are you getting on @doomkittycleo, have you tested?

@DobbieFreeElf @seven201, I saw your updates re. IVF consultations. I really hope you get your bfps before it gets to IVF but if you don't I'd highly recommend looking into Access Fertility. I went for the 2 cycle programme and when I got my bfp from my first cycle I genuinely didn't care it meant we'd spent a little more than we needed to. When I had my mmc it gave me the peace of mind that we could afford to try again as we'd only need to pay for meds which on a natural FET are a few hundred. Just my experience of course, but worth considering if you haven't already, most clinics work with Access Fertility. I understand the options can be quite mind boggling so apologies if I've confused things further.

I have just completed my second cycle which was a natural FET and discovered a week ago that I'm pregnant again. Currently 5 weeks Smile. Of course I've already started convincing myself it's all going to end badly again but nothing I can really do other than wait for the scans and hope.

Hope everyone else is doing ok

DobbieFreeElf · 18/11/2019 12:08

Congrats @Marmite83 Fingers crossed this is a sticky one x

We've gone with ABC IVF, purely because I fit into their "criteria" and it means we can afford a few rounds rather than one or two.

Marmite83 · 18/11/2019 12:19

Thanks @DobbieFreeElf, weirdly I did wonder if you went to ABC when you said the consultation wasn't the best experience as I had a pretty appalling experience with them so didn't go with them in the end. Hopefully they'll get better once they're treating you. I've heard a few people speak positively about them since.
