Wasn't great - only 1 egg Sad let's hope the 4 months of DHEA and ubiquinol have made it a good one but if not does anyone know how soon you can start again?

Sending positive DHEA vibes @Wesstywoo. I had my last EC on Oct 16 and started this cycle on 20th November, not sure it's advised but with low AMH and Christmas we didn't want to delay. (I had two periods) X

Thanks @WorriedButterfly how are you feeling today?

@AliceAbsolum well the original plan was to give me something to help with absorption of menopur but then they changed it to DHEA instead. I asked what the purpose of it was at my last scan and they said to help with quality so I shall be asking to revert to the original plan next time - if I can talk DH into another go!!

@AliceAbsolum I would consider it but I feel like I want one last go with OE - last time I got 4 eggs resulting 2 blasts so would like to try and see if we can improve numbers next time 🤞

Still suprised they're not putting 1 back at day 3.. What's the point of waiting til day 5?

They've given me the option of day 3 or 5 but having discussed it at length with the consultant during my first cycle I feel that if it doesn't make it to day 5 in the lab then it would be unlikely to do so inside me either - and as hard as it would be having nothing to transfer I'd rather know now if it is not destined for blast than going through the tww

Makes me think about mine now as it's going back tomorrow of lasts overnight which will be day 2. But maybe as it's my first time maybe they think just to give it a shot?! Who knows x 🤔

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer @TTCRose I think the general consensus is back in you is the best place at any stage, but equally it saves going through a TWW if it was never going to make it, I would stay positive and start visualising! It certainly isn't going to do any harm on day 2 and I have seen quite a few success stories!

I am starting to feel like I might have a chest infection coming, does anyone know whether this will impact ET? Should I cancel and freeze?

@TTCRose same as @WorriedButterfly - I think it's down to individual clinic advice and personal preference. If it gets that far this would be my third transfer. There is also some that would argue that the best place for it to grow is inside you which the clinic did say when they were speaking to me about it! It won't harm the embryo to put it back at day 2 Smile good luck for tomorrow!

I think you should be ok Worried - have you taken clinic advice on it? Hope you feel better soon!

@WorriedButterfly ask your clinic, I'm sure they've come across something like this before. Maybe have some paracetamol and honey/lemon and see how you feel tomorrow!

I am gathering courage to tell my manager I've been doing IVF for the past two years to ask whether I can take some time off as sick leave. I feel like I spent all my holidays on this and I want a real holiday. Any tips on coming out of the closet with IVF?

I've basically told everyone by now Hmm. Just drop it into conversation and wait for the ridiculous comments. Relaxing/sunshine/not trying/royal jelly, etc.

@AliceAbsolum I don't mind telling or people knowing. I just don't like when they know exactly this is happening and bug me during tww or ask about the result.. I am friends with lots of people from work and if I am off sick and they know it's IVF it would be super awkward I feel

I am my own boss but have a reasonably big company. Two staff who work most closely with me, know. However, I haven’t said anything to anyone at work this time.

I’m feeling really positive about tomorrow.
