No sorry for confusing - 75mg (25 x3 a day) my brain is in IVF mush!

Wesstywoo · 04/10/2019 17:06

@WorriedButterfly @AliceAbsolum I'm on 75mg split across the day. I've been on it just over months now and it took a fair few weeks for the oil slick to start. I will be interested to see what effect it has on my next round. They want me to stick to 450 menopur but from what I've read anything over 300 is a waste of time and possibly detrimental

Wesstywoo · 04/10/2019 17:07

*2 months

AliceAbsolum · 04/10/2019 17:35

I've been on it for 3 weeks and nothing so far. I was on 450, but this Dr is absolutely adamant that I'll be on 300 this time as she doesn't want to reduce the egg quality. Makes me wonder why the UK clinic whacked me on 450. I only stimmed for 6 days because I had 3 22mm follies.

OP posts:
WorriedButterfly · 04/10/2019 17:55

I was the same @AliceAbsolum 4 follies, on 450 in 8days. They've reduced me to 375 this time. But I can't feel anything yet, just tired!!last time I felt really sick, so worried it's not doing anything, they've got me in for an extra 7 day scan though, so hopefully can up it on Monday if need be.

Hopingforbabyd · 05/10/2019 16:54

Keep going @mouse1234567 you're doing so well! How are you getting on? Are you over the half way mark now? X

mouse1234567 · 05/10/2019 17:23

@Hopingforbabyd thank you. Yes I’m 8dp5dt today so only 5 more days till I test. Not too bad! Having a lovely weekend in the countryside with my parents. Had a tasty meal out and walk today and about to get stuck into a puzzle! Even pushed the boat out, relaxed the diet and let myself have a bit of pudding at lunch!

Don’t feel any symptoms so worried it hasn’t work but I guess only time will tell. Did you get any early symptoms?

One everyone is doing ok.

Hopingforbabyd · 05/10/2019 17:43

@mouse1234567 so glad to hear you're having such a lovely weekend! You deserve it! And I'm so pleased you've treated yourself too, your body needs all the things which make you happy and I'm hoping everything has worked this time for you🤞🏼
I was naughty and I did test at 7dp5dt and got a faint line. 8dp5dt the line was very visible. My symptoms were as soon as I'd had transfer I was really gassy and still am 🙈 I was having lots of hot flushes then 3dpt I had spotting after pessary application and this made me suspicious. 7dpt I woke up to a heavy period crampy feeling and this is what made me test as I was so upset. I was convinced af was on her way so just wanted to know so I could glug a nice glass of wine on my shopping day out lol. I didn't experience anything like morning sickness (I've only been sick 3 times after a big meal) but I did get this feeling of a real hunger pain which made me feel queasy as soon as I woke up from 9dp5dt and my nipples did get a little tender but not as much as after trigger. My boobs haven't hurt much at all which surprised me they've just got bigger. So really the symptoms took me by surprise as I thought they'd be much more prominent before testing but really, for me, they'd of started literally the day my period was due. Hope this helps 😊 but just remember no symptoms doesn't indicate it hasn't worked x

Hopingforbabyd · 05/10/2019 17:46

@mouse1234567 I've just reread that and think it sounds confusing 🙈 basically early symptoms if you call it them was farting and hot flushes with a bit of spotting all 3 days after transfer. Then when period would've been due so 9dpt is when the sicky/hunger pains along with the tiniest sore boobs started. Hope that makes more sense 😄 x

mouse1234567 · 05/10/2019 18:05

@Hopingforbabyd thanks -don’t worry that all makes sense. I had spotting last time ( but then miscarried at 5 and half weeks) so I’m kind of concerned I haven’t had any blood this time for implantation but then again last time the blood could have been because of the miscarriage and not a good sign! It seems like plenty of people don’t get symptoms for quite a while. I def don’t think I have had any cramps. I just have to sit it out! Just keep telling myself I can start a new cycle soon if it doesn’t work.

Glad you aren’t feeling too bad symptom wise with your pregnancy -that all scared me quite a lot too!

Hopingforbabyd · 05/10/2019 18:11

@mouse1234567 most definitely, I wouldn't of noticed the bleeding if it wasn't for the pessaries as it was so minimal. Again with cramps I had none at all except for one day. But then everyone is different. I'm quite a crampy person anyway as my endo gave me a lot of crampy feelings during my cycle and my uterus is tilted so any kind of little thing down there will give me back ache and tummy ache (I think I'm just a sensitive case lol) x

Russkispy · 08/10/2019 06:59

This process is never straight forward 😔 had my scan yesterday and thankfully the cyst. Phew. But, the lining is too thin. Always was good in the past but not today! Said it’s 85% transfer will happen and 15% not. That made me a bit upset. So she gave me eostrogen patches for every day on my tummy. And Gonal injections to continue till Fridayy_. Then fly for the second scan on Friday.
Transfer Provisionally booked for next Saturdayy_. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
It's really never straightforward and that's before even transfer and we then hit with tww! Never ending! But must stay calm and positive.

mouse1234567 · 08/10/2019 07:48

@Russkispy I really hope it all goes well for you-there is always something with this process isn’t there!! It’s so frustrating. Those odds are in your favour tho so I’m jeeping everything crossed for you the transfer happens.

All ok with me -finding these last few days before testing pretty excruciating to be honest -prob the hardest time to the tww. When I get to the end of each day -I’m happy I got there. Two and half days till testing for me. Also a part of me doesn’t want to ruin the bubble.

Hope everyone is well.

Russkispy · 08/10/2019 07:52

@mouse1234567 thank you! Yes, totally unpredictable! Was worried about the cyst but the scan showed the thin lining. A new worry altogether!
Hope you get your BFP! Crossing everything for you!

Viletta · 08/10/2019 14:09

@Russkispy hope the meds will do the trick and the lining thickens! Let us know how you're doing.

@mouse1234567 Well done for not testing early, I feel like it brings even more stress. The last two days are the worst, you are right. The only thing that helped me is staying distracted at all cost, watch tv, download silly new game on your phone, browse internet for anything not related to 2ww, go out as much as possible. Good luck! Fingers crossed for you

Wesstywoo · 08/10/2019 17:13

@Russkispy fingers crossed for you - the patches did the trick for me during my FET.

@mouse1234567 well done for not testing early - you are stronger than me! Fingers firmly crossed for you too xx

I finally have dates - will be starting norethisterone in a month and then on to short protocol at the end of Nov xx

AliceAbsolum · 08/10/2019 17:46

@Russkispy Eep, hopefully they meds will do the trick, its SO uncertain this whole process. Let us know.

@mouse1234567 Not long now, not long now, you can do it.

@wesstywoo Great that you have dates, a month isn't too long to wait, but I know it feels like it when you're in it.

I'm taking my last pill tomorrow, then wait for AF. Just hoping my meds turn up in the post before Monday.

Hey, does anyone happen to know what size is the smallest follicles can be at trigger, also if they are too small at the proposed trigger date will they keep me stimming for longer? I had a 7 day scan yesterday and I was measuring small at 4-6mm so they've upped my dose to 450 menopur- but I just don't see how I can get to 18mm by Friday, I don't know whether I'll have to quit this cycle, if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate them! x

Hopingforbabyd · 08/10/2019 20:29

@WorriedButterfly hey lovely, hoping stims all going okay. It may vary from each clinic but mine were looking for at least 3 x 18mm as the smallest, I was 16mm with just 1 follicle after 2 weeks and they carried me on over the weekend for 4 more days and I was shocked to have 4 at 22mm and one at 24mm! Hoping you don't have to cancel anything and they can up your dose x

AliceAbsolum · 08/10/2019 20:47

I think they will just push back the trigger date won't they? Some people stim for 16 or so days.

Hi all. Wanted to update you and say I tested today at 13dp5dt and got a positive. Pleased but remaining sensibly cautious after the chemical the first time.

Wishing those of you still on the journey all the best, it’s so tough and I really hope it all works out for you. Will keep following to see how everyone is going.

WorriedButterfly · 10/10/2019 19:34

Congratulations @mouse1234567 that's super news, really pleased for you.

@AliceAbsolum and @Hopingforbabyd thank you for coming back to me re sizing. I'm still going for the moment as they'd grown yesterday at my scan, next scan tomorrow. 🤞🏼

Hopingforbabyd · 10/10/2019 19:43

@mouse1234567 this is such wonderful news! I wish you all the best and hoping everything stays positive for you!! ♥️

AliceAbsolum · 10/10/2019 19:59

@mouse1234567 eep!! How exciting! Congratulations. Hope the next few months go smoothly and quickly.

@Wesstywoo Keep trucking on 😁

I decided to chase my clinic for meds yesterday, turns out that they thought I was someone else and hadn't actually posted them. Im due to start stims on Monday and I doubt they will get here on time. Really not happy. No apology from the clinic either.
