Hi Everyone

I’m nearly at the stage of going to Reprofit for ivf and TESE - and I’m started to panic about it. Im worried about care standards, what if things go wrong ETC. Can anyone share their experiences please ?

@Lrv1987 hi there! I've been in Reprofit in Brno in April for IVF and just now for FET. I really liked them! They have much more for less money. We did icsi with picsi and macs and although I'm still waiting for bfp, the results we got with them are so much better than what we had in the UK. In the UK I've got 7 eggs and 3 fertilized, 1 made it to day 3. in Czech 9 eggs, all fertilized! 3 made to blasts! I put it down to their picsi and macs technology to choosing sperm. The only downside is that you don't get any psychological support (there is no councilor), but for me it's fine.

My reprofit baby is now six months old and asleep upstairs.

I went for ICIS last May. The standard of care was great. It was all unbelievably efficient. The clinic is lovely, clean and well equipped. The team there were all great and they overcame any issues really quickly. I would always recommend them to anyone looking for IVF abroad. I really rated the clinic and they got me pregnant first round with two embryos in the freezer.

Thank you both-
It's so good to hear good news stories! Did you find the language a problem?

Excellent, professional, clean, caring, affordable the list goes on. Im 31 weeks thanx to Reprofit after numerous failed cycles in uk.

Viletta · 01/08/2019 20:29

@Lrv1987 not really, most things were discussed over the email. Have you had a call with the doctor? You can ask your supervisor to arrange this for you, it may clear up some of your doubts. It's free and over Skype with just audio normally.

Lrv1987 · 01/08/2019 20:33

That's good to hear.
I'm excited and nervous ! It's so nice to hear positives - it's such a big step and so many people have tried to put me off - but it seems
Like a no brainer to me

Did you guys take BCPs as part of your treatment? If so - which ones? I've been prescribed the rigevidon pill and it has terrible reviews ...

Would also love information on this clinic as am thinking of going there after uk failed rounds. The prices look good just had consultation with a clinic in Barcelona and the price is £5000 I might as well stay in the uk for that price.

AliceAbsolum · 02/08/2019 13:32

I've just come back. On the one hand they were great, very clean, nice staff, very efficient, Brno is great. I felt in good hands most of the time.

On the other hand a Doctor scanned me internally on my 1st visit after keeping us waiting for an hour, he didn't put gloves on and he DIDN'T WASH HIS HANDS.

So, swings and roundabouts. But I'd go again, 100%.

Lrv1987 · 02/08/2019 13:40

Didn't wash his hands?! After the scan? Or before? Not that it matters- either way it's bad!

Before. Shook our hands, sat down, typed stuff out on the computer, then we went around the corner, he tapped about with the ultrasound machine, then picked up the wand!

yellowish · 02/08/2019 14:16

Wow people sure do love this clinic. Almost as if it were an advert.

Si1ver · 02/08/2019 14:42

@yellowish no advert. Check out my posting history, I've never name changed. I tried for three years before I went there.

I think they're awesome, they made IVF affordable, accessible and successful for me. Of course I'd recommend them.

ChocolateGateaux84 · 02/08/2019 16:46

No its not an advert, unless im imagining that im 31 weeks preg after 7 failed rounds in uk.
Just the facts.

twinkledag · 02/08/2019 23:41

I went earlier this year but not good news for me. The clinic was good though.

Maximoo06 · 03/08/2019 07:48

@twinkledag sorry to hear it wasn't successful for you. Had you tried any other clinics before if so do they compare better?

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2019 08:46

THey do seem to be cheaper that many abroad but also get good results

Obv not everyone get preg first time

But I found abroad (diff clinic ivi Madrid) that tho I didnt get get preg first time / they did get embryos to freeze / which a second fet resulted in my now 2yr

Unlike uk clinics - and I think that’s coz abroad use icsi as standard plus imo have better technology and freezing process

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2019 08:48

@ChocolateGateaux84 amazing. Congrats - a long road for you. I had 4 failed before 5th successful

To have 7 in uk fail then Abroad works - an amazing feeling

twinkledag · 04/08/2019 10:07

@Maximoo06 I'd say they were a good clinic, kind, responsive, just unfortunately didn't work for me.

Teddybear45 · 04/08/2019 10:13

Would it be cheaper than a regulated UK clinic via Access Fertility?

Lrv1987 · 04/08/2019 11:32

Thank you so much for all the feedback - really appreciate it xxx

Hi, does anyone know how to go about getting bloods done at their GP without telling them it’s for private ivf? I’ve heard some gps don’t do if I’d they know what it’s for! Thanks for any advice

Lrv1987 · 26/11/2019 08:31

My GP wouldn’t do it - so I paid privately for the tests- Nuffield prices are reasonable

OP posts:
Podiatry1 · 26/11/2019 09:19

Thanks for that! 👍

greenvase1 · 27/11/2019 10:29

Hi All. I have been in contact with Reprofit and was told that many women dont have an initial consultation. I thought that was a bit strange so asked how all information is communicated. The coordinator said that they send it all in an email. She also said the doctor wouldn't be free for a consultation until February (xmas it seems has impacted this). Does anyone else think this is too long a wait, or that agreeing to treatment without a consultation is wise?
