Hi Everyone

I’m nearly at the stage of going to Reprofit for ivf and TESE - and I’m started to panic about it. Im worried about care standards, what if things go wrong ETC. Can anyone share their experiences please ?

@greenvase1
I didn't have a consultation with them- it was all done via email until I went for the actual treatment (now 12 weeks pregnant 👍🙂)
We did use Your IVF Journey as well- and I can't recommend them enough. We paid them a fee and they did all the liaising and told us what to do and when- was worth every penny in my opinion - all we did was respond to your ivf journey and they did everything else except book our travel and accommodation. They really were excellent
You can go direct with Reprofit - but can't comment on that really because we didn't.

@Lrv1987 thank you for that info. Very helpful (and reassuring). I am generally chilled out about these things, but also need to transport sperm to them, so don't want to spend over £1k doing that, to then have regrets. I've also never heard of IVF journey so I'll get them a look now. Thank you Smile

@greenvase1
No probs - if you have any questions please shout.
Do check out Your IVF Journey- becky and Ben are great and were so so helpful

Hi everyone I need some advice please!!

So I've been in contact with reprofit brno, and arranged to have ivf with them. A coordinater told me I need to fill out the online questionnaire that she emailed me. I had all the blood tests done previous to this so that's not an issue. She also stated that I would need to pay for the prescription medication. Can anyone tell me how much the medication will cost, or how much they had to spend on it as I'm trying to factor in all costs of the treatment as I want to make sure I will have enough money.

THANK you in advance :)

Viletta · 28/02/2020 14:01

@kayley89 hi there, it depends on your protocol. From what I remember you get a Skype consultation with your doctor where this would be explained. You will then receive a prescription and can check the prices before you decide to proceed. The cheapest pharmacies are fertility2u and asda. I paid ~£500 for my meds. But I heard ladies on longer protocols paid up to £1500

@viletta
THANK you for replying! That's a lot more than I was expecting. I thought the medication would be something like clomid ect..
Guess I will have to wait and see what my protocol will be to see how much mine would cost. Would it be cheaper getting it from their pharmacy do you know? Thank you again

JoanieCash · 28/02/2020 14:46

@kayley89, I paid ~£1200 for my drugs on a short protocol (from ASDA) but I’m an old goat and they needed to put me on top dosing and cost is proportional to dose.

Viletta · 28/02/2020 15:03

@Kayley89 you can definitely ask them but it'll be tricky to get the meds to the uK as they need to be in the fridge. They are normally delivered in a massive box with cooling ice packs. My other meds like estrogen and progesterone were pretty much same price in Czech comparing to the uK. I used fertility2u

Kayley89 · 28/02/2020 15:21

@JoanieCash, wow that's so much its like half the price of the actual ivf. I'm 30, and I think I have low ovarian reserve so I'm guessing I'll need a lot of medication?
@viletta, I never realised it needed to be refrigerated. I guess I was just expecting tablets or capsules ect.. I wanted to get an air bnb over there and stay for 2 weeks to save going bk and forth, so I would have got the medication there. Now I don't know what to do. So glad you both replied as now I have to tell my parter we could be looking at another 1000+..

Viletta · 28/02/2020 16:50

@Kayley89 I travelled with my meds and stayed in Airbnb, I packed my meds in a bag with the ice pack. I checked with the airways that they will accept the ice pack for hold luggage, they said it's fine. I just made sure the flat we stayed in had a fridge. The meds that should stay in the fridge are the injections. Good luck!

Podiatry1 · 28/02/2020 16:52

Hi, I am really confused on how to go about getting ivf. I have had all bloods done and scan and husband has had his sperm analysis done so what happens now? Ahh it’s so confusing!

Kayley89 · 28/02/2020 17:03

@viletta, thank you! And thanks again for responding!
@podiatry, are you going private or thru NHS ect?

Viletta · 28/02/2020 18:38

@Podiatry1 you should get a referral from your GP

Podiatry1 · 28/02/2020 19:08

I have already had a go On nhs and have a baby through that which is amazing but we are going for number 2 now and I have picked reprofit as the clinic I want to use. It’s just because it’s abroad that I’m not sure how it works. I have emailed them so hope to hear from them soon! 👍 x

Viletta · 28/02/2020 19:16

@Podiatry1 ah I see, yes email them, you'll get a coordinator assigned to you for the whole process. I really liked them. Got my bfp with FET there on 3d attempt (1 fresh, 1 frozen and 1 failed fresh in the uK).

Podiatry1 · 28/02/2020 20:41

Thanks for that!! X

Maximoo06 · 29/02/2020 13:40

I was on short protocol & all my medication came to about £600 I also used fertility2u

Kayley89 · 02/03/2020 22:35

@maximoo06 thank you for replying, seems to me that the prices vary considerably from patient to patient. Hoping once I get my protocol I'll know exactly what I'm looking at paying.

@Lrv1987

Thanks for starting this post. Me and my husband are just at the beginning of our IVF journey and are considering utilising the UK agency YourIvfjourney to access Reprofit.

Can I ask if you did go to the clinic in the end and if you have had any success? Any thoughts/feedback or advice would be most helpful

Thanking you in advance!

Lrv1987 · 05/08/2020 20:38

@Persephone12

Hi! We used YourIVFJourney and went to Reprofit last September. We were incredibly lucky and it worked first time. I’m writing these with my 10 week old son on my lap 🥰🥰
Your ivf journey were amazing - they took the stress out of everything. And Reprofit was such a great clinic. The care we received was excellent - my partner had a vasectomy so he had to have an extraction- they did both our procedures at the same time and we had a recovery room together. It was really good. I can recommend some great cafes and stuff in Brno - we stayed at a great apartment- and even managed a day trip to Bratislava !
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions :)

Sian7919 · 18/09/2020 07:48

Hi would anyone mind messaging me about their experience at Reprofit. I am 41 and considering choosing it as my clinic. Thanks x

Lrv1987 · 18/09/2020 09:08

@Sian7919
We used Reprofit last year and we were lucky to have success first time. The clinic was great- it was clean , organised and the staff were amazing. There was no issue with language barrier for us at all.
Brno as a place is quite chilled and a nice place to relax before and after treatment. It’s a beautiful city.
I really would recommend them as a clinic - i would definitely go back.
If you have any questions please shout
Good luck xxxx
