Hi Everyone

I’m nearly at the stage of going to Reprofit for ivf and TESE - and I’m started to panic about it. Im worried about care standards, what if things go wrong ETC. Can anyone share their experiences please ?

Hi @Sian7919

I posted a similar reply on another post. We’ve just started our journey with Reprofit. We’re using an agency to go through Reprofit , so we’ve had no contact with them directly yet. So sorry I can’t comment on their standards or services, but hopefully when we’re further along in the process I can update this post.
If you’re in the UK I’ve been been using the agency Your IVF Journey and they have been very supportive. I would recommend them.

Wishing you the best of luck.
Speak again soon

@Lrv1987 thank you! 😊 Yes they’ve been great and have a really wonderful and supportive manner... nothing like I received on the NHS!

Thank you! We’re keeping our fingers and toes crossed it all works out!

Hi @Sian7919, I went to Reprofit in Feb to do OE IVF aged 40, I’m now 32 weeks pregnant and have 4 embryos in the freezer (sth I wasn’t expecting). They were very efficient, kind and accessible - tho I had done IVF in London in 2017 so I knew what to expect already. Brno is a nice place and very easy to navigate, the whole process was surprisingly easy.

There’s a very helpful Facebook page you should join if you haven’t already.

Persephone12 · 18/09/2020 22:26

@Badgerismyname thank you for sharing that! It’s really positive and reassuring to hear hopeful comments for me too as we’re just at the start of our journey. Hope you have a comfortable healthy pregnancy 😊

Persephone12 · 18/09/2020 22:28

@Sian7919 I forgot to say I will be using my own eggs when we start and I’m 41 too so I’ll keep you posted 😊

Badgerismyname · 19/09/2020 20:29

Thank you @Persephone12, wishing you the very best of luck. Reprofit weren’t overly positive about my chances (not in a negative way, they were just being realistic about my age) but I figured someone has to have success, and people do. The journey is difficult but all you can do is take each stage/appointment one at a time and hope for the best. And remove as many external pressures from your life as possible whilst doing it!

Sian7919 · 20/09/2020 06:54

@Persephone12 good luck. Yes please keep in touch and let me know how you progress, I will do the same. X

@Lrv1987 thanks for the replies. Do you know if they do embryo banking? How old were you and what type of protocol did they have you on? Did you use any optional extras for the treatment? This is just for my learning. Congratulations on being successful. The NHs drs didn’t seem very positive about my chances :( but I want to try .

@Badgerismyname what’s sorts of things did you remove from your life in terms of pressure just out of interest? Any tips? X

I am about to do my 2nd round in the uk but already considering this clinic as a back up option. We did visit a clinic in Poland once an we didn’t like it at all which put me off going abroad but there does seem to be a lot of good feedback on here about reprofit. Our issue is we keep miscarrying so I would need to have a consultation with them to see what they would suggest around that.

How many times do you have to go over there?

We have a little boy so I would want to be away from him for too long hence why I couldn’t do the 2 week stay.

Persephone12 · 20/09/2020 11:59

@Sian7919 and @Badgerismyname
Thank you so much for the luck, advice and helpful tips. I’m quite a stressy person and the agency already advised after the procedure I will need to rest for two weeks (though I’ll be working from home) so I’m interested in your tips and reassured by your honest feedback on the clinic. Just goes to show the power of perseverance! 💪🏻

@Mctm123 if you live in England, I would advise if you want to know more about Reprofit do an initial consultation with Your IVF Journey. They’re really good and very experienced having been long time and successful customers (two times round) of the clinic themselves.

If you choose Reprofit it will really depend on your own personal care plan how long you need to be there (Which if you choose them they will then look into it for you). I think the standard is a one stay 10 day visit but as I’m a bit older I need to do some pre op assessments, so may be there for 13 days. Hope that helps

Lrv1987 · 20/09/2020 14:53

@Sian7919 I'm not sure on the embryo banking
I was 32 when we went and I'm not sure if I was on short or long protocol/ I think they do it differently to nhs
We were there 10 days and it was just the 1 visit xxx

Hi ladies
@Sian7919 and all...

thought I’d share my thoughts on now we’ve gone to Reprofit and Brno and been through it all.

Well first of all I am definitely an advocate and would recommend this clinic. I found the them to be clean, efficient and professional.

Once you are ready for treatment your coordinator sends you the details and after egg retrieval you can check the progress of your growing embryos via an online portal. We were very lucky. We used our own eggs. 11 eggs were retrieved and 9 made it through to development stage (8 now frozen, 1 implanted, and yes they do do embryo banking at a cost per year).

Although all staff speak English, they are very busy in the clinics, so with masks on; conversations were limited, but I felt like I was in good hands, and just before any treatment (bar the blood and urine tests) you do get to sit down and discuss where you’re at and ask questions with the doctor.

At 41, I used my own eggs and didn’t do PGS testing (which I wonder whether I should have now having researched it more) but then neither the clinic or the agency I used recommend it for me on the first go (and it does cost extra to do it as part of the ivf package and makes the whole process longer, so it would have been in their interests to suggest it if they thought it was useful) my advice for anyone older would be to ask the question on whether it’s a necessity for your own personal package?

As for the agency I used ‘Your IVF Journey’ I would recommend them too, as we got a number of discounts on medication, and scans, plus the new embryo observation method in the Reprofit clinic (they actually said to me as you’re a client of Your IVF Journey you won’t pay the €200 euros for this). Also the agency’s support the first time there venturing to Brno in the middle of just before the Czech lockdown period was worth it.

Going forward with national and international lockdowns I don’t know how easy it would be to go for treatment right now, but for the future it’s a yes from me.

We’ve just completed our 2 week wait and got a BIG FAT POSITIVE Smile
(long may things stay well and on track! 🤞🏻)

We’re over the moon and cannot be more grateful to everyone who helped us at Reprofit and the agency.

Also I want to thank everyone who posted on this forum before including @Badgerismyname as hearing the positive encouraging stories got us to where we are now ☺️

X

@Persephone12

Happy to have helped with any advice - it's such a daunting time and we were grateful for advice we had from others. All the love and luck with your pregnancy! I'm honestly so over the moon for you - such lovely news xxx

@Persephone12 aaaaahhhh!!! Congratulations!!! Isn’t it just the best feeling in the world to get that positive result staring back at you. It just doesn’t feel real! That’s amazing news, especially in current times. I can’t believe how many frozen embryos you’ve got, just fantastic.
I don’t know how Reprofit do it but they certainly seem to know what they’re doing. They’re so reassuring aren’t they, not to mention efficient, and the lack of up selling is so refreshing.
I really hope you have a completely uneventful pregnancy xxx

Persephone12 · 08/11/2020 19:27

@Lrv1987 thank you my lovely, it’s still not sunk in yet! I bet it’s fantastic to hear all this time on, that Reprofit are still helping women (especially at my age!) 😉

@Badgerismyname thank you!! 😊 I know, the days counting down to see that test result! 😬 It was a feeling of elation and overwhelming happiness this morning! The clinic really are the best, it’s not like the uk where the cost of everything extra is something. This clinic really are just result focussed. I want everyone in our predicaments to know how wonderful they are 😊

Thank you both for your lovely wishes

Xxx
