Hi all.
I just wanted to start a new thread for people who are starting ivf/icsi in march or april 2019.

We have had our dates through for our consultant appointment on 4th March to go through all the paperwork sent to us. And then our nurse appointment is 29th March. So hoping to start icsi on my april cycle.

This is our first attempt and really anxious. I have read a bit online but didn't want to get overwhelmed so am trying to just follow the consultants lead.
hoping we can all help each other out on our journeys. 😁 😘

Can I join please? We are supposed to start drugs on 12th March which would be ‘day 21’ of that cycle. Also first time. We are having ICSI due to Male factor. Feeling nervous but also like there is some light at the end of the tunnel!

Pleaseletitbeme · 19/02/2019 11:37

Will be doing second round in March.
ICSI.
Hoping for a better time after abysmal response in january.

Justwaitingforaline · 19/02/2019 13:31

Will be having our FET at the beginning of April after having a freeze all cycle of IVF 3 weeks ago due to OHSS risk!

LillyLeaf · 19/02/2019 15:03

I really hope to be starting FET in march. I did my first IVF cycle with a fresh transfer in December that resulted in a BFP but unfortunately ended in miscarriage. We have 4 embryos left. I'm waiting for my first period after the MC which will probably be in 2 weeks. I have a follow up next week with the clinic to discuss what's next. Good luck everyone

DaisyMay25 · 19/02/2019 17:01

Hello! We signed our papers on Valentine's Day! Just waiting for my period to come later this week to get booked in for my 21 day scan (although on day 18/19 because I have short cycles)
We are having ICSI, some days I'm excited to get it all started and some days I just feel down about it possibly not working.
How's everyone preparing for it?

DaisyMay25 · 19/02/2019 17:03

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I think my appointment for 'how to stab yourself' will be around the same date as you!

Wesstywoo · 19/02/2019 17:13

Hi ladies, I'm hoping to start FET in March. Had my first fresh round in December which sadly resulted in a CP but we have also one frostie from that round. I was actually meant to be starting today but had some unrelated health issues that needed to be resolved first so it got cancelled Sad Waiting for AF to arrive so we can get new dates in the diary. Wishing everyone luck! xx

Twiglet2353 · 19/02/2019 17:59

Hi everyone I'll this thread too as starting Northisterone this weekend (short protocol) so should start stimming maybe second week of March?
Having my appointment with the nurses and mock ET a week today.

Fingers crossed for us all Smile

Hi can I join please?

We have been trying on and off for a number of years and finally decided to get some tests done. We have MFI aswell as me having a lot of follicles but had bloods to check and I am ovulating.
Have been for my treatment consultation and signed all the consent forms today as well as being shown how to inject myself the bit I am dreading the most! We will start at the beginning of April due to being away in March! Am feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement as this is our first time!

Good luck to us all

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 20/02/2019 11:39

@daisymay25 have you had the date for the ‘how to stab myself’ appointment?!

I’m waitin (again) as consultant wanted an up to date smear. I was due a recall in July for my 3 yearly one but he wanted one before treatment. Went on Friday but was told it’s a 2-4 week wait for results. I don’t think results will be back in time for 12th March 😟 means we will have to wait until into April. I suppose we have waited this long to get anywhere a month longer isn’t much.

DaisyMay25 · 20/02/2019 12:09

@Whatelsecouldibecalled not yet, waiting for my period which is due in the next few days then gotta give the clinic a ring

I had my smear done in October and they told me five weeks for results but it was three so fingers crossed!!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 20/02/2019 12:31

@daisymay25 ah right. You might be a little in front of me then. You’ll have to let me know how you get on

arose08 · 20/02/2019 19:42

Hello, wondering if I can join the chat?
Recently got a BFN with a fresh cycle and will be starting down regulation this weekend for a FET hopefully end of March. Would be great to talk to ladies going through the same thing at the same time for support. Wishing everyone the best of luck! 🌈

arose08 · 20/02/2019 19:45

Hello! I’m also starting Norethisterone this weekend, sounds like our dates may be very similar! 🤞🏼

arose08 · 20/02/2019 19:54

@Twiglet2353 sorry my above message was supposed to be a reply to you, I’m new on here, still getting to grips with how it works! :)

Twiglet2353 · 20/02/2019 20:07

ooh that's exciting @arose08! Is this your first cycle as well?

arose08 · 20/02/2019 20:13

@Twiglet2353 no this is my second, my first cycle started in December but sadly I got a BFN. Having a frozen embryo transfer this cycle. If you're on a short protocol, our dates could be very similar. Is this your first?

Twiglet2353 · 20/02/2019 20:26

@arose08 yes it's my first. Will have a better idea of timings after my appointment next Tuesday. From what I've read it's approx 10 days of Northisterone and then should start AF 2-3days after?
What's the treatment protocol for FET?

arose08 · 20/02/2019 20:52

@Twiglet2353 yes that's right, I got my AF after 3 days of stopping, it was a bit of an unpleasant one I warn you! 😊
The cycle is much simpler with a frozen as you don't have the stimulation drugs, egg removal etc as that bit has all been done already. All the other drugs are still the same, got my delivery today and the box was just as big!! If you have any questions just let me know 👍🏼

DaisyMay25 · 21/02/2019 19:47

Sorry if I'm being too nosey guys @arose08 & @Twiglet2353 but how long was the time between knowing your cycle had failed and starting treatment for FET?

Twiglet2353 · 21/02/2019 19:56

@DaisyMay25 this is my first ivf cycle Smile

LillyLeaf · 21/02/2019 20:39

Those that are doing a FET... What is your protocol/drugs etc? I have my follow up with the clinic next week so we be discussing options. I'm interested if a natural or medicated FET is best.

I still don't think I've ovulated this cycle so looks like the miscarriage is delaying it.

DaisyMay25 · 21/02/2019 21:07

@Twiglet2353 oh sorry, must've misread Blush

I've read now you're doing short protocol, good luck for mock ET next week, hopefully it all goes well!

Twiglet2353 · 21/02/2019 21:20

@DaisyMay25 thank you! Just pleased to be finally starting Smile

arose08 · 21/02/2019 21:27

@DaisyMay25 I found out my cycle failed at the beginning of this month, and I'm starting down regulation for my second frozen cycle at the end of this month so literally starting again straight away. I will have had two AF by the time I have another embryo transfer which I've read is standard if you don't want a break. My doctor said I should have a break if I felt I needed it emotionally but we decided to just start the second cycle straight away and have something new to concentrate on. I also had a holiday when I found out it had failed which really helped! We are you at?
