Started FET today

Hey ladies! Is anyone starting FET today or soon? This is my first frozen after losing our first fresh at 5w5d in December. Started my estrogen pills today but already worrying as my bleeding seems to have disappeared since this morning! Just looking for some cycle buddies to hand hold!

I’m going to start one imminently.
We had to freeze everything the day of our fresh transfer as I wasn’t very well and the consultant got spooked.
I don’t know anything about it - they haven’t really told us anything and I’m really struggling to summon up the will to do it.
Our fresh transfer should have happened in October and it was beyond frustrating when it got abandoned.
It’s our first cycle, and whilst I love our consultant the clinic is crap and I can’t get answers out of anybody as to what is happening.
We are going there tomorrow to go through all the consent stuff (again) so maybe we’ll get a bit of clarity, but should realistically be starting in the next few weeks and I would love love love a cycle buddy!

Had transfer Thursday. I’m not felling as well as after my fresh cycle last year. Incredibly tired.

I’m taking huge amount of meds this time inc 4 x daily cyclogest so guess feeling rough is to be expected.

Hi, we are due to have transfer on Friday. The drugs this time round (after a successful fresh cycle 5yrs ago, we have a little boy) are knocking me for six - I’m extremely tired and highly emotional, which is not me. I’m more anxious this time and know I’m driving everyone mad. Would be nice to have some cycle buddies.

I started Buserelin about 10 days ago in preparation for our first FET and it's awful.
I wasn't affected by any of the drugs during our fresh cycle - it was like nothing was happening at all.
This time around I'm really, really struggling. I'm miserable, I'm tired, I am beyond irritable, I hate my DP right now - he's driving me nuts, and I want to run away.
I have suffered from depression in the past (although not for years now) but this is what it feels like all over again and I'm terrified.
Scared enough of (possibly) being a mother and this is making me just want to call the whole thing off.
Please tell me that once I stop taking the Buserelin I'll get back to normal and feel like I love my DP again! We're so close usually, and after a long time together I always feel really lucky that we are still so in love. I KNOW it must be the drugs but jesus christ - this is awful.

It’s definitely the drugs. I’m on Estradiol valerate and it’s knocked me for 6 this time, whereas like you, fresh cycle, drugs didn’t bother me at all. FET transferred on Friday and now 2WW, it’s only day three and I’m so anxious. I wasn’t this bad before, however think it was because I’d convinced myself it wouldn’t work and because it did and we have a beautiful boy I’m putting more pressure on myself this time round.
Take some time out, do something with DP not baby related - have some fun!!

God I hope so! Thanks for reassuring me. I’ve felt dreadful since about Thursday and really needed someone to tell me it wasn’t just me!

Hello 1st icis ivf failed . Been on meds for 2 weeks now waiting on scan tomorrow to see if my lining thick enough to start pessaries and then hopefully 5 more days to transfer. Any one ever had a BFP of a frozen embryo ? Just they put the best embryo in on fresh cycle and really hoping the 2 frozen embryos can make it threw the defrosting stage. Any stories would help . Thank you all

I’ve also got my scan this morning to check my lining. Hopefully I can start on the patches and lower the dose of Buserelin that is making me feel so crap.

For balance, have had 2 FETs since which have failed

Wishing you all the luck twikledag . Iam praying my 1st FET on thursday gets me a BFP i have waited over 6 years for this . The 1st fresh cycle failed and i really dont think i can take the emotional part of it all over again . Thanks for sharing your story with me . Wishing u all the luck in the world.

@bettyloo 1 - my 2nd fet - 5th attempt in all - is still asleep next door and 2 next month

Fet success rate is often slightly higher then fresh as body has had time to recover from ec

@blondeshavemorefun Thank u so much i really have high hopea for this little embryo . Did you ever find out the grades of your embryos ? Just my clinic isnt telling me much . Also on a medicated FET . Has anyone had medicated FET ? Not to sure why iam not on a natrual cycle .

@parksandrecreaction. I felt so ill with burselin . And pessareis also had me in hospital with my bowl cramping . I hated the drug part but this time with frozen cycle i feel less heavey and emotional this time around . Hope ur feeling better soon .

Both were medicated as I had an era done (mock cycle where they check lining of womb to see if receptive)

My clinic recommends after 3 failed

and showed that my body needed more progynova

And yes 3rd fresh was yog grads. 4th attention 1st was day 6 and top grade

Embryo that took was day 5 and slightly lower as had used best in attempt 3&4 but that was the one that implanted

I dont understand why iam on medicated FET as i asked if there was a problem with me and they said there wasnt a problem. I dont understand why iam on estrogen nd pessaries this time around.

Your clinic should explain to you

Tbh I think a medicated fet is better

The clinic can control your body and make sure that it’s in the best place to have a transfer and if need be then can extend /delay the fet

An frozen embryo usually only needs an hour or so to defrost so once body is right they will plan a day for the fet

Usually a fet if medicated is implanted think day 19

Tho I ended up linger due to results of era

Day one is first day of period and when you start taking the dose. Think was 2ng the. Went to 4 then 6 few days later

It’s to make sure lining is thick and ready to implant

Some prefer a natural cycle and then guess implant when scans or bloods show body is ready - not sure tbh as only had medicated fet

I have been taking estrogen tablets 2mg 3 times daily for 17 days now started pessaries last night. Transfer is booked in for the 28th feb witch i pray works as i have a 5 day ttansfer . Do you know if you ovaulate on my own ? Just i think iam now with signs iam getting.

No you won’t ovulate on your own, that’s why they do a scan prior to you starting pessaries. To make sure there is no egg that has been released.

No they didnt . Iam going to ask this on thursday . I did ask if there was anything wrong with me are my DH but they said it was down to chance .
