Hi everyone, just had my first down regulation injection this morning with a scan booked for next Thursday. This will be the transfer of my remaining embryo. I had a little boy last year via ICSI so I know I've been very lucky already.

Anyone else starting now?

How's the 2ww going for everyone? I'm only on day 3 but only have to wait until Thursday and it's still going slow. Anyone testing soon? Anyone really knackered?

@jemimafuddleduck how exciting! Hope you are feeling a bit better today on the hormonal side - I had a couple of days like that during injections, I don't think poor DH knew what to do!

@LillyLeaf tww going quite quick so far I think but I've got to wait til next Fri Have felt REALLY tired since ET, particularly between then and Wednesday. And today and yesterday I've had a headache. Blaming the pessaries! How are you feeling?

I feel fine just really tired, I don't drink much coffee anyway but normally if I felt like this I would have a latte, so missing that. My sleeping isn't great, I'm waking up during the night and early in the morning but still can't get up. I'll be having a very chilled weekend. I kept thinking of the moment the clinic will call on Thursday after my blood test and tell me if I'm Pg or not (I'll probably be at work), that is going to be so strange, then I'll have to ring DP, not the best way to tell him either way.

Today is my 5dp5dt and in the morning my breast is not sensitive or tender, light pain in abdomen and feeling that AF is coming so I cried a little. I never thought that 2ww is such a nerve-wracking.

@LillyLeaf at least you don't have too long to wait but I can imagine it feels like forever!
@Beetroot01 when can you test?

I've just had a call from my clinic. EC is Monday (donor has done amazingly, she thinks there are 9-10 eggs 🤞🤞). Transfer now planned for next Saturday which is our wedding anniversary! It's a sign 🙌

@Beetroot01 today I am 7dp5dt and my OTD is not until 21st so they are making me wait the full 14 days. Try not to worry about cramping etc - my clinic told me cramping is due to the pessaries. I had mild cramping on day 5, nothing since. BB's aren't sore either! When is your OTD?

Will you wait until 21st or are you likely to test early?

Iwas going to test the evening before although I'm not sure if it will be accurate in the evening? I'm working on Friday and will be testing and then going straight to work otherwise!

I reckon that'd be fine... have you asked your clinic? My clinic have said 16 days after transfer which seems a long time?!

My OTD is on Monday but decided not to test. Just wait and see what happens. We won't have any treatments in January anyway, as will have to wait a cycle before starting IVF process again, as we don't have any frozen embryos from the first round. So on that basis, what will be , will be.

Yes@jemimafuddleduck . Had 5 eggs, 3 mature and 2 not. And only 1 survived after fertilisation. Gutted of course but this little bean was developing strong and was transferred on day 4, a Morula stage, I believe, it's called. Today I'm 7dp4dt.

@Russkispy my on on Monday as well and glad I am at work as I am very anxious about it.I fell that af is going to come soon 😐.what do you mean with not to test?do you mean earlier.i booked holiday for that day as I don't want to be at work whatever the outcome.

@Guio I meant I won't test on my OTD. Just will wait and see if AF turns up. I don't even know when AF is supposed to be here?! On Monday, I think. That would be 29 day cycle. Last cycle was only 23 days due to Clomid and IUI. I just don't want to test unless I'm late if it makes sense

Im not sure when AF is meant to arrive. Are you on any pessaries or other progesterone support @Russkispy? I thought that kept AF at bay? Mine would have arrived the day after ET otherwise as I usually have short cycles!

Nobody knows I’m undergoing IVF apart from my husband, I guess I’m looking for reassurance/venting space!

I’m 40 and due for embryo transfer tomorrow, having had egg collection on Monday ...to mess things up more than necessary I’ve had a horrendous chest infection since Tuesday and am on antibiotics.

Basically feeling terrified, and as a natural pessimist I’m just expecting it to fail 😬

@Wesstywoo , yes, I'm taking progesterone tablets 3 times a day. I've usually had 28-29 days cycle.

Cantrip good luck with your transfer, I found mine very surreal.

I had cramps during the night, it's really messing with my head. I know you can have them with either result, it feels like the days before AF arrives. As soon as I woke up I started googling it.

@LillyLeaf take a look at this link which I've borrowed from another thread - I think your transfer was Tues which would put you at 5dp5dt today? Embie would have still been implanting yesterday so could cause cramping, plus the progesterone can cause cramping. I had cramps at day 5 also and the odd twinge since.

@Wesstywoo , thank you for the link. My transfer was on day 4. I believe it's a morula stage. Can't find much info about that. But read that it stands chances as when a day 5-blastocyst is transferred. Time will tell. And will test on Monday after all as I'm on progesterone. And if it's BFN, then will stop them.

@Wesstywoo thanks for the link, that's really interesting. I think I'm 4dp5dt, do we count transfer day as day 0? I just really need to keep my mind busy this weekend.

@LillyLeaf thank you. My clinic counts transfer day as day 1. So I'll be 10 days post with day 4 transfer on Monday.
