Hi everyone, just had my first down regulation injection this morning with a scan booked for next Thursday. This will be the transfer of my remaining embryo. I had a little boy last year via ICSI so I know I've been very lucky already.

Anyone else starting now?

@StoneMe fingers for you!
@Beetroot01 good luck for today and hopefully it goes well!
@LillyLeaf good luck for tomorrow!
As for 2ww, every time after IUIs , time just flew past and I never symptom spotted and just forgot all about it. I never had any symptoms anyway and yet was BFP twice. And never tested earlier than OTD. Had acupuncture and reflexology during that time and just generally kept myself occupied.
It's my first IVF, and I don't know what to expect this time but whatever it is, will not test early.
Hope you can stay strong and stay away from POAS till your OTD. Grin

LillyLeaf · 10/12/2018 08:58

@Wesstywoo @Russkispy we must not test early, no good comes of it. I'm not much of a tester anyway so hopefully I won't be tempted.

@Beetroot01 good luck today.

I'll probably go back to work after my transfer tomorrow as it's so busy right now I really can't take another day off.

Beetroot01 · 10/12/2018 10:47

@Lillyleaf after ET I am heading back to work as I can not afford to take any time off.
Hope everyone else doing fine. Stay strong ladies and wait OTD ;) xxx

Well, I am out of the race. Negative HPT this morning and confirmed by negative blood result. Feeling upset but, as I said in my OP, I already have a son so I am luckier than so many.

I wish all of you all the luck in the world but I will step away from the thread now xxxxx

ET done, 1 in, 3 in a freezer, coming back to clinic on 20th for a pregnancy blood test because they are closed for Christmas and want to find out before so they can order more progesterone if needed. 10 day waiting just started.

Russkispy · 10/12/2018 17:13

@StoneMe so sorry to read your update!
@Beetroot01 well done! A couple of us will be testing the same week! Fingers crossed for all of us!

Wesstywoo · 10/12/2018 17:28

@Stoneme I'm so sorry. Look after yourself.

Just had my transfer, top grade embie on board, 2 for the freezer and 1 tbc tomorrow. Just got to wait now.

Hope everyone is doing ok in the 2ww.

LillyLeaf · 11/12/2018 12:46

@Beetroot01 my OTD blood pg test day is also 20th.

Nrg2009 · 11/12/2018 13:05

I’m on 10dp 3dt (I think, transfer was 1st dec) still negative test. I’m finding it difficult today. How is everyone going with their testing? X

Guio · 11/12/2018 14:25

@LillyLeaf well done unless we know we have more opportunities I feel very negative about mine,every time I go the loo scared of seeing blood I still have 6 days until test date,this is a nightmare. trying to keep busy at work though. @Stoneme sorry about that, it is s*.

Russkispy · 11/12/2018 14:56

@LillyLeaf , well done! And now try to relax for 2ww.
@Guio , please try to relax! I know it's hard but you must take it easy! And stay positive!

Russkispy · 11/12/2018 14:59

@Nrg2009 when is your OTD?
Mine is on the 17th. I believe it will be 10dp4dt. Or is it 9dp4dt. One of a two Smile

Nrg2009 · 11/12/2018 15:09

@russkispy it is on this Friday 14th. Which will be 13 days after the transfer. I just think it would be at least a faint positive by now. Just having a bad day I think. This is our first go, I’ve had no problems in the past, I have a child. We are using donor sperm

Russkispy · 11/12/2018 16:12

@Nrg2009 , maybe it's still too early? This is also my first IVF. I had IUIs in the past and tested on 11dpiui and had a faint positive. 1st IUI resulted in BFP and I have 18 months baby girl. And second IUI was BFP too but it ended in a missed miscarriage. That was in June this year. Had a couple of more IUIs and tested on 11dpiui but BFN. Decided for IVF. And here we are, yet to find out on Monday the outcome.

Nrg2009 · 11/12/2018 16:20

@russkispy hopefully it is too early. Congratulations on your daughter and best of luck this time x

Russkispy · 11/12/2018 17:14

That's why I'd advise anyone to abstain from early testing. I know it's hard but I think we just need to wait when it's "safe" to test and no earlier than that. Today I was even thinking not to test on my OTD and wait and see what happens. I did that with one of my IUIs. And I never had any urges to do it early. But I do appreciate everyone is different.
@Nrg2009 I do hope it's still early for you! Fingers crossed!

Wesstywoo · 11/12/2018 17:25

There's a very interesting post with a link to an article on a thread called 2 week wait a bit further down the page about what happens each day after ET - shows why testing early won't give an accurate result. You need to have enough hormone in your wee for it to show up and that takes quite a while. You have to wait a bit longer on 3dt's than 5dt's as well. My clinic are actually making me wait 2 weeks after a 5dt!

Good news @LillyLeaf!!

RedPandaFluff · 11/12/2018 17:35

I'm an advocate of early testing (although I don't have to factor in the trigger shot as I need donor eggs). If I have a chemical pregnancy, I want to know about it, as it could be useful information for the next cycle.

Update from me:
My donor was scanned yesterday and I was scanned today, and we are both progressing perfectly! She is being scanned again tomorrow, and depending on the results will have egg collection either Monday or Wednesday. How exciting!
We also had some more good news - I thought that whatever eggs were produced would be shared between me and another recipient but we get all of them!!! So hopefully we will have some to spare too 🤞🤞
On the downside, my hormones are still all over the place. I cried on the nurse this morning (who was absolutely lovely and gave me a massive hug ❤️).
