Hey, all! We are starting ICSI hopefully in June for MFI. I'm 32. Been TTC for around 14 months. Starting treatment privately as we wait for NHS investigations/referrals. Keen to get started but nervous - especially about getting the time off work during treatment - and about how much all of this is going to cost. Trying to prime my body for fertility treatment. Generally eat pretty well and exercise regularly (cardio, strength train, Pilates, walk a lot on my commute)- but could improve my diet. Consultant advised me to increase my protein intake so I'm working on it! Luckily the weather is looking up so a bit easier to stick to healthy lifestyle :) Have cut out alcohol and coffee (still on tea - but will limit myself to one cup/ day). Supplements wise, I'm on Omega 3, CoQ10, Pregnacare. Doubt any of this will make any difference in time for first cycle though...

Would be great to hear from others due to have treatment in June/July 2018!

Trigger shot tonight, and ec on Friday. Follicles between 19 and 10. 😬
@HJ8 I didn’t take much. Vitamin e, seven seas prenatal, and I small dose of coq10. Used to take omega 3, but stopped for some reason...

Hope all going good today! X

cannonball8726 · 20/06/2018 09:56

@beherenow32 great stuff! So close now :) where will you do the trigger shot? Is it intramuscular? (You can tell I'm nervous about the trigger shot even though it's still AGES away for me :) ). Hope your belly is feeling okay and ovaries not too sore!

Thanks for the good wishes all 😊 @Dia12 - great link, thanks for sharing!

Good luck to all with ET, scans, stims, down reg, OHSS, BFPs and anything I’ve missed! We all deserve for this to work so FX we all get there eventually 🤞

HJ82 · 20/06/2018 10:19

@cannonball8726 solgar 100MG (stated with 200mg then dropped). I am stopping the basic prenatal vits. They have folic acid and not folate (it certainly doesn't say which kind anyway). It is too hard on the liver and it isn't absorbed properly and builds up in the blood stream (nasty). I am switching to a wholefoods supp again. I was just taking the vitabiotic brand because I got lazy! Just ordered the Pregna-Plan by Cytoplan. It has Methylfolate which I feel more comfortable taking at those levels. I do drink peppermint! Love it. I make a blend of that with Lady's mantle, raspberry leaf & chamomile. Although, I haven't been taking as not sure about Lady's mantle and rasberry leaf during this process! Too uterus focused. I'll be drinking it when this period (before stimming) comes though. Not looking forward to that pain. I take bromelain for that, in case anyone wants natural cramp relief....

Ginandtonic31 · 20/06/2018 10:31

My update from my scan is that they are hoping I will be pushed to Monday for EC to give chance for a few more to grow. 9 follicles are ‘ready’ (over 16) and 3 not far behind. The rest are small but I guess could catch up. Right ovary still lazy but one in there is 17. Really hope they push me to Monday though! I need to call around 4 to find out.

HJ82 · 20/06/2018 10:41

@Ginantonic31 best of luck to you! What happens with the follies that are already ready? Wishing you the best.

cannonball8726 · 20/06/2018 10:41

@HJ82 bought Solgar too - am taking 100mg once daily. I'm not sure whether to keep taking after egg collection! I love peppermint tea too. Feeling constipated myself today despite plenty of fibre in diet - only day 2 of norethisterone!!! I really just want to get started and start the stims - I can think of nothing else except this process at the moment and feel silly that it hasn't even properly started!

Thanks for link, @Dia12. Will check it out.

That sounds positive, @ginandtonic31. Will they do any more scans between now and Monday?

@canonball I am just enjoying being sober all the time, I feel so healthy! I'm eating tonnes of protein (not from meat) shakes etc. Feeling pretty good. But I've not started the injections yet to shut everything down. That starts Sunday :| are you sniffing or injecting?

@physicskate - great news, wishing you all the best!

Ginandtonic31 · 20/06/2018 10:52

@HJ82 I think they just keep growing. They aren’t too big. They are just over the threshold. Suppose there’s a small risk of losing one. Will see what Guys day this afternoon.

Beherenow32 · 20/06/2018 10:55

@Ginandtonic31 sounds much more positive!

@cannonball8726 I’ll do it in my tummy like the down regg and stimulation. I don’t remember anything bad from last time. Although, the nurse said I could get cramps.

Just went out for a huge breakfast and I can barely move! I have work later too. Haha. I am very full, a bit uncomfortable, but happy that we have came this far!

Would have been nice to have a few at 19mm but I took more Gonal f, so they may grow a tiny bit more today.

Amazing news @physicskate. 3 in the freezer is fab!

Ginandtonic31 · 20/06/2018 11:02

@canonball8726 yes perhaps Friday they think (costing me a fortune in parking and petrol 😂). That’s if they move me to Monday. I really am hopeful. And the hotels are cheaper on Sunday too.

Ginandtonic31 · 20/06/2018 11:03

@physicskate congrats on your numbers!

cannonball8726 · 20/06/2018 11:07

@HJ82 hehe I don't drink much alcohol anyway so abstinence hasn't been that difficult for me in that respect. Quitting coffee, however, has been painful! I have had probably about two coffees in the past month (one today as felt so knackered) and feeling so guilty about it! Even though it's just two coffees. I just love to torture myself. I'm still exercising as it really helps with my mood - trying to get in as much exercise before I feel too rubbish to do any. So generally feeling healthy at mo. Apart from this ruddy constipation. And my healthy eating always falls by the wayside during my period!

I'll start sniffing (great verb) next Tuesday so not too long after you. I think @tigerlily99 also starting downreg injections this weekend so we will be roughly cycling at same time-ish. When is your last day of the norethisterone?

@Dia12 had a look at the video. It brought back memories! I was definately in couple b the last few times ☹️ Hoping to change that xx

cannonball8726 · 20/06/2018 11:14

@ginandtonic31 fingers crossed for you! Sounds like you're having to do a lot of travelling - hope it's not too exhausting! Hope you treat yourself to a nice hotel for Sunday eve :)

@beherenow32 - good work on the breakfast. Hope there was plenty of protein! Good to hear that you didn't find trigger shot too bad previously.

@Dia12 great video. Thank you.

Ginandtonic31 · 20/06/2018 11:20

My diet has gone terrible now, probably why the follicles are so shite. I just want carbs!! I’ve not been drinking (but god I’m ready for a gin!) and I don’t drink caffeine anyway. Just had to walk from work to a supermarket and it hurts now!

@cannonball8726 I was hoping for a nice hotel for Sunday and Monday but due to prices it looks like a travelodge 🙄

NotLateInTheMorning · 20/06/2018 11:28

Thanks for posting the vid @Dia12...and thanks to everyone for the good wishes ;)

fingers crossed for everyone for today and for the days and weeks ahead xox

HJ82 · 20/06/2018 11:30

@canonball8726 I stop the norethisterone on the 28th. (next Thursday) Annoying I had to take it. My period is always on day 28... Anyway, hopefully comes on time this month! But I am with NHS so depending on when they can fit me in for a baseline scan (I have a suspicion they will keep me on the buserelin until they can fit me in) I suspect that's what clinics do.

HJ82 · 20/06/2018 11:34

@tigerlily99 are you staring injects this weekend?

cannonball8726 · 20/06/2018 13:00

@ginandtonic31 Travelodge is okay. Try and do something nice in London to keep spirits high :)

@HJ82 my last day of the norethisterone is the 30th June. Have a baseline scan booked on 4th July but pre-emptive appointment is probably tempting fate and my period will probably not show up on time ;)
