IVF September/October 2017

Hi Ladies! Finally I will have my first IVF treatment as soon as my next cycle starts which I expect it to be more or less end of September/beginning of October. My periods are very irregular so I never know exactly. My consultant suggested antagonist protocol which I will receive in post soon. I am extremely excited but then realistic about the fact that it might not be successful first time.

How are you feeling ladies? When are you due to start your Ivf Journey? Fingers crossed for all of us fighters;-)

Hi all,
They got 6 eggs. I'm absolutely delighted as I didn't think we'd get as many. Fingers crossed they all fertilise.
Feeling a little groggy still and very crampy.

6, thats bloody fab scotslass I've been thinking of you. the crampy feeling will wear off and it's normal to be groggy, if you need to shut your eyes and dose off then do.. I did and it helped me chill out a bit better. Sending you big hugs

Hanim - I know I'm totally delighted. With my low AMH I didn't expect as good a result so over the moon. I'm keeping everything crossed now for fertilisation. Hot water bottle and paracetamol is helping. I'm lying on the couch chilling watching the telly.
How are you feeling hunny now. I hope AF is not on its way and you feel rubbish for other reasons.

Medicinal takeaway and chocolate :)

Tbh I am dreading tomorrow. I really struggle with examinations, so the idea of being touched when I'm not in control is terrifying. I have a strategy with smear tests (visualising kicking the nurse if I don't feel comfortable... I know, violence is not the answer, but it stops me panicking). I have no idea how I will kick someone in the face in this situation.

My rational head knows that if I can get through a hysteroscopy and HSG, I can deal with this. But it's the irrational part of me that is freaking out. Sorry for rambling!

Sounds a perfect way to relax scotslass I think clinically that’s the worst bit over now, that’s how I felt. Mind you rather that then the 2WW! your overies done fab girl 🤗 what does AF mean?
Thank you dinks and minster I nearly caved today but thought no I’ve come this far. It’s going a pinky colour now which is why I’m scared it’s a period. I have no idea where you all live but I wish we all lived near and could have decaf tea catch ups and moans and groans. X hugs and positively being send your way ladies x

I was the same my lovely plus it’s all the emotional stress in too that also plays havoc. You got 6 eggs so I hope that has put a wee smile on your face. Being positive is the only way we can get through this. I found a good sleep after my EC made me feel better and I hope that will help you too xxx

How is everyone.
Well I had a rubbish night. Horrendous cramps. Paracetamol did not touch it. Also wee stabbing pains. Its not much better this morning either to be honest 😫 x

I'm waiting for someone to call me from the hospital for the training appointment date, and for the medication to arrive, feeling quite impatient now I want to get started

Scots can they give you something more than paracetamol? Honestly paracetamol is so derisory! Perhaps a pharmacist can help? Hope you feel better soon :(

I'm in a cubicle waiting to be taken through. The woman next to me has just come back and is sobbing. I genuinely think I might throw up. Wish my luck ladies. I'll let you know how it goes xxx
