Hi Ladies! Finally I will have my first IVF treatment as soon as my next cycle starts which I expect it to be more or less end of September/beginning of October. My periods are very irregular so I never know exactly. My consultant suggested antagonist protocol which I will receive in post soon. I am extremely excited but then realistic about the fact that it might not be successful first time.

How are you feeling ladies? When are you due to start your Ivf Journey? Fingers crossed for all of us fighters;-)

I understand, girls. Just lady on the phone sounded like it was good to have BB but internet says it’s not bad, but not perfect. Ah well. It is what it is 😬 now waiting for some contact to let me know what’s next

Scotslass01 · 19/10/2017 16:38

Aliona my wee embryo was a BB. My clinic said that was very good if there had been 1 A it would have been excellent. I think all clinics are slightly different with their grading.
I'm now 5 weeks and my HGC levels are increasing well, indicating a good viable pregnancy.

Minster2012 · 19/10/2017 16:49

Ah scots it's great to hear it's all going well & that's really good help for Aliona see this is why these are really great!

Aliona19 · 19/10/2017 17:09

Scotslass01 😍 aww thanks for that. It’s just hard when they say excellent and good and not so good.. you want it to be best possible. They shouldn’t do it this way. Should be good or bad, end off. As if we have no enough stress to worry about grades. Nice to hear from you. All pregnant ladies seem to be disappearing once they get positives🤔

Aliona the whole process is full of highs and low, it's really is a crazy emotional rollercoaster we are all on.

Aliona19 · 19/10/2017 18:38

harry78 Hey. I don’t think it’s just easy to ruin everything. I guess 1000s of mums picking there kids up while pregnant. Let’s hope it didn’t harm you in any way. What I am sure is worse-is to stress out about something like that. It can’t be good for you at all. Just take care of yourself and don’t think about that anymore. You can’t change it x

Evening everyone!!

It’s all gone quiet. Is everyone ok? I am still enormous thanks to OHSS. I went for monitoring yesterday and all the nurses were so lovely and helpful. I love my clinic. Anyway OHSS is not getting better but also not getting worse so I only have to go in once next week then I have my first scan on Friday. I fed a bit despondent about it. My ET was 6 months to the day I had my ectopic, so feels quite soon still, so I still worry about another ectopic or a miscarriage. Not like panicking worrying, just like “be prepared” worrying.

Interesting to hear all the embryo grading. I literally have no idea. I think I said earlier that all I got told that I had two “nice” ones, and they transferred the one that was hatching and froze the other. Not sure what happened to the other 22... I kind of feel a bit miffed that so many of mine didn’t make it! Do you think it’s egg quality? I did hear that the androgens floating about in ladies with PCOS can damage eggs. I am starting to take inofolic just in case.

I’ve locked myself out so sitting in the car waiting for OH to come home. He’s in the pub so I may be waiting some time... come keep me company!!

Xxx

Aliona19 · 20/10/2017 18:24

dinksandbinks Haha locked yourself out 😆 trying hard not to be mean and say something about pregnant lady brains 😆🙊🙊 what do you mean he is in the pub! Can you not get the keys of him?
I am feeling just like you about eggs. 6 frozen out of 21 eggs.. wonder if they were ok to transfer and not to be frozen..
It’s dead here today, where is everyone

Hahaha Aliona I wish it was pregnant lady brains but I’m afraid I do this a lot!! 😂😂😂Oh god what am I going to be like with pregnancy brain??? I’ll go to work in my pyjamas.

I’ve decided to drive back into town to get OH’s keys. It’s a 40 min drive but I’m sure I’ve heard “one more pint” a few times already 😂

Do you have to work tomorrow pet? Hope you’re feeling better??

Harry acupuncture sounds soooo good!! I really want a massage too, but can’t handle the idea of anyone touching me while I’ve got OHSS as all my skin hurts from stretching!! Glad acupuncture has helped, is it a specific fertility acupuncturist or just a normal one?

dinksandbinks · 20/10/2017 18:55

P.s. aliona I think to be frozen the embryos have to be just as good quality than transfer ones, so that you can have confidence they will defrost ok. This is what my clinic told me... apparently my two were identical except one was maybe an hour ahead, so much science goes into the decision!!

Aliona19 · 20/10/2017 19:04

dinksandbinks I know the feeling. Do stupid things sometimes, but still, my partner has the crown of a king 4 being stupid, so atm I am good 😂
I am not working tomorrow but will have to eventually. Don’t want to. Did many years 6 days. Just don’t want to do this anymore. I am feeling very tired, long week. But thank you for asking, I am ok. I think it’s all over, well I hope. Feel no pain and pretty normal. Have loads to do at home but really would rather lay in bed like starfish all weeken 😂 and my birthday on Monday and I don’t think I will be left in peace this weekend. Hope you ll feel better soon and start enjoying the pregnancy xx

Aliona19 · 20/10/2017 19:13

dinksandbinks I just feel like the frozen one should be super good. And the rest could be ok to transfer right away but won’t survive the freezing. So wonder if that’s the case and they just get rid of them 😏

harry78 Needles to help with anxiety? 🤔😳 does it really help? Needles never bothered me but they do now. I d rather have nice massage 😇

dinksandbinks · 20/10/2017 19:55

Oh gosh, 6 days is a lot. I did it for a few years in my 20s when I valued money more than sleep!! Now I have the keys I am going home to bed and be a starfish before OH gets back, maybe cuddle with the cats!! I lam borrowing your style!!!

Clinics are so funny with all the different information they give to people... it sounds like some don’t want to give you much info, but others give you too much... If I remember my clinic they said that they would only freeze ones they were confident about, but I guess they have an idea of which are the best out of those?

Atikakck · 20/10/2017 20:10

A dnt lyk acupuncture awww... They always stuck a niddle in ma nerve nd dat hurt alot...

A had ma first injection nt sure if it's supposed to fool ma body dat am pregnant BT feeling bloated.... Am worry abt ma invitro cz it's soo cold already Ave got cols sore nd a feeling cold so ano ma body runs down, a always hv frozen hands nd feet even summer tym... Nd nw wen am having invitro a cnt let dis happen as ppl sed "if ur feet cold ur womb cold too"...

dinksandbinks · 20/10/2017 20:18

Atik I understand I am a cold person too!!! I am always freezing, I keep a blanket and a hot water bottle at work. I have a friend from Norway who says that warm hands and feet is the most important thing for a warm body!! So I have two pairs of socks on already and it’s not even properly winter 😂

Have you tried echinacea for the cold sores?? I take it echinacea tablets as there is evidence it is good for your immune system, especially in cold weather. I get coughs every winter so I am taking it this year to try and improve my resistance

Aliona19 · 20/10/2017 20:36

dinksandbinks it’s sucks to be working long hours and then get home and feel so run down. I feel like I am 60+, have no energy at all. Crazy life
Atikakck I am with you on that. I am always cold too. Been to doctors 100 times. Even in summer absolutely frozen. Must be my thyroid, as I used to be hot before and after they removed it-I went right opposite. double socks not working for me, nothing does so if you, ladies, find cure-let me know 😂

Minster2012 · 20/10/2017 21:00

Evening ladies, sorry been awol, had my cancer treatment today (every 3 weeks) so a round 3 hour drive & 2 hour poisoning intravenous session in between but I jest it makes me feel a bit sickly & crap but I'm ok enough to drive myself still & feel ok once got home, sat down & readjust a while so I can't complain but a quiet night in always follows with pjs & tv so that's me. Bit down tonight as expected that next time I go to have not moly had transfer but to have done test & know the result & that's not happening in that time frame now...I'm so used to my life working in 3 week slots til my next treatment &feeling a bit crappy that was how I was rationalising it in my head. But anyway, things change.

Hopefully dinks is starfish with a cat by now!

dinksandbinks · 20/10/2017 21:19

Aww minster that doesn’t sound like a very nice Friday :( And I totally get why you’d think of things in three week blocks, and it does suck that it’s been delayed!! I’d be bummed too. Be extra kind to yourself tonight. Look at pics of your puppy!! Night in with a pjs and tv sounds perfect. I am indeed a starfish!! Cats are by my side but OH is now home so the peace is about to be interrupted.

Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend?

Clocks change this weekend is it?? I feel like hibernating.
