IVF September/October 2017

Hi Ladies! Finally I will have my first IVF treatment as soon as my next cycle starts which I expect it to be more or less end of September/beginning of October. My periods are very irregular so I never know exactly. My consultant suggested antagonist protocol which I will receive in post soon. I am extremely excited but then realistic about the fact that it might not be successful first time.

How are you feeling ladies? When are you due to start your Ivf Journey? Fingers crossed for all of us fighters;-)

Atikakck I am not worried about injections anymore. The first time I did in my tummy I had hands shaking but since then it doesn’t bother me anymore. Now new fears and worries 😆

Glad to have helped Dhobig
I plan on sorting through some cupboards as well as really sorting out all of Christmas. When I get stuck into a task like cupboards I can lose hours so I think that would be good as well as productive & decluttering!

filip masses of luck for tomorrow & thinking sticky thoughts for you xxx

Aliona19 · 16/10/2017 19:55

dinksandbinks massive congrats on your BFP!!! Sorry about the OHSS though. Hope it eases off soon. Can I ask how which cycle this is?

Hi to everyone else 👋🏻

I'm getting some twinges in my ovaries - they feel full!

I'm getting a train to go to the clinic for EC. Do you think it will be ok to drive 5 mins from station to home after EC?

Dhobighat · 16/10/2017 20:32

otters I was totally out of it for hours after EC - no way could I have driven, I don't remember DP driving me home at all. Everyone is different though I guess.

Atikakck · 16/10/2017 20:36

Harry78 - on ma last go a did acupuncture for abt 2-3 weeks am scared of needles so didn't enjoy dat, didn't saw any difference either, nd sumtyms it was hurt wen this guy stab ma nerve wid dat niddle nd wen a told him it's hurt nd ma leg stiff he laugh nd sed it supposed to be like dat so a didn't like it at all BT then Ave got positive BT if dat was cz of acupuncture or cz a started b on blood thinners nd ma embryo was hatching a hv no idea

Aliona19 · 16/10/2017 20:39

otters2017 hey. No don’t drive! Get a cab if no one can drive you. I was feeling great in hospital and then same half way through the journey home and suddenly I felt hot and started to faint and then vomiting, lasted 5 min but was so unexpected. Why would you risk it?! Don’t do it

Aliona19 · 16/10/2017 20:49

dinksandbinks Hope you ok there xx

otters2017 · 16/10/2017 21:32

Thanks guys. Just read the info sheet and it says don't drive for 24 hours so will cab it.

harry78 I've been having acupuncture for about 2 months now. Had a session today and my acupuncturist suggested I go in the day after transfer not the day of transfer. I have read that some go on the day of transfer. I don't know if it's helped but everything looks good so far so I really hope so!

Minster2012 · 16/10/2017 22:05

otters yeah I agree with others don't drive, some people have felt very ill and it's not worth it

scotslass by the way do you feel "actually" pregnant yet? Smile
