IVF September/October 2017

Hi Ladies! Finally I will have my first IVF treatment as soon as my next cycle starts which I expect it to be more or less end of September/beginning of October. My periods are very irregular so I never know exactly. My consultant suggested antagonist protocol which I will receive in post soon. I am extremely excited but then realistic about the fact that it might not be successful first time.

How are you feeling ladies? When are you due to start your Ivf Journey? Fingers crossed for all of us fighters;-)

Minster - well sed xxxx am agreed 100%

Aliona19 · 14/10/2017 20:30

Minster2012 you made me all teary and in need of a cuddle 😢 I was under general anaesthetic 3 times before and never had problems, so strange to have this after sedation. I don’t even go anywhere this few days, it’s always happening out of nowhere. I guess i just have to wait through this. At the end of the day it’s not all the time. Anyway, who run the world? ))) xxx

Did anyone go to Homerton Hospital for ivf?

Minster2012 · 14/10/2017 21:12

I don't want to upset you or anyone aliona

Sending cuddles

it's just what ppl usually say to me when I carry on with life as usual ignoring my body after my treatment & I've ended up in A&E dehydrated & stuff from doing too much & learnt to listen to my body & take it easier so just in case no one had said it I thought it needed saying out loud...& to reassure it's hopefully not OHSS just a need for R&R which women (who do run the world as you say) often forget.

Hopefully it's the mix of hormones & anaesthetic Flowers

But I'm really sorry if I upset you xx

Aliona19 · 14/10/2017 21:21

Minster2012 No don’t take it that way, didn’t upset me. Just was putting strong face and realised I needed a cuddle. So don’t apologise xx

Minster2012 · 14/10/2017 21:26

😘🤗phew on that note sending cuddles to everyone cos it really is a tough process and all of you lovely ladies deserve hugs & 💕

Aliona19 · 14/10/2017 21:29

Minster2012 Never mind me, fireworks starting already and my furry baby is terrified 😂 she needs hugs more than I do. Good night everyone 😘

Minster2012 · 14/10/2017 21:44

Wow that's early! We're getting a new fur baby before fireworks night (also perfect timing for keeping busy on the 2ww!) that will be a nightmare fun!!!Grin

Aliona19 · 14/10/2017 21:53

Minster2012 well )) I felt pretty bad today and didn’t go to sleep till about 1 last night coz electricity went off and then electrician came and blah blah. Trying to have early night 🙃 what you getting? I bet it’s a cat 😁 I have a naughty doggy, Alaskan malamute. Big girl but terrified of fireworks

Minster2012 · 14/10/2017 22:24

A new puppy, been waiting for ages (like a year!) for a certain breeder and the way it's worked out we will pick it up one or 2 days after ET so it will certainly keep me busy from thinking about 2ww so actually worked out well (if it works though won't work out well with large adolescent dog reaching true nightmare stage with baby/toddler but anyhow!)....current cute DDog totally oblivious about to be ousted in the gorgeousness stakes Smile

So my run up to Christmas is toilet training DPuppy & making sure house does NOT get destroyed 🙈...least if I accidentally say "baby" ppl assume I mean puppy!!

Aliona19 · 15/10/2017 09:11

Minster2012 😍😍 awww so cool. I can only dream about getting a new puppy 😤. Plenty of cuddles and wet kisses for you soon then 😆

Morning ladies. How’s everyone feeling?

Filipinam · 15/10/2017 15:16

Is any1 had FET?

Aliona19 · 15/10/2017 16:45

Atikakck sorry I hadn’t. Will hopefully have it eventually. Bloody stressful waiting for how many survived how many good enough to freeze.. then what if they didn’t survive after thawing 😩

otters2017 · 15/10/2017 21:42

Hi

Can I join please? This is our first IVF cycle so completely new to us. I'm 39, low AMH. Unexplained infertility. We were on clomid for 5 cycles (+trigger shot for last 2 cycles) Got a BFP in July which ended in a chemical. Now on long protocol whch started end sep, on stimms and due for a scan tomorrow which will hopefully confirm that I can have EC on Wed. Last scan on Friday showed 9 follicles, 1 at 18mm, the others about 14-15mm. It's all getting so real now and am starting to feel terrified and nervous. Any advice for EC?

Minster2012 · 15/10/2017 21:59

Evening everyone! Busy day today so no phone checking! Aliona I'm very much looking forwards to new puppy licks & cuddles! I think it will make the 2 ww much easier!

atik I'm the same as you, I'm waiting for FET so worried about the embryos now they are frozen, I'm particularly worried about surviving the thaw with only 2 we hope so much to just use one so that if it fails we can try again but scared of it dying in thaw & cant seem to find any statistics on that? Does anyone know any?

otters welcome hi!! 🤗 EC is scary but most ladies here have found it fine ) (including me but I only had 4 eggs) just relax & then don't do too much afterwards as though you may feel fine sickness has caught a few ppl out after the painkillers have worn off so take it easy for a few days after Flowers

Aliona19 · 15/10/2017 22:09

Minster2012 hello )) kind of weird all this, I feel like 16 again when all this chats were popular 😂 kind of missing everyone when it’s quiet 😆. I am very nervous about get too. First u stressed how many eggs then how many fertilised, now stressing abt Wednesday to know how many are good enough to freeze.. and then thawing. Bloody stressful 😰 and I am sure new puppy will help, pets always do.

otters2017 Hey. I agree with Minster. Don’t stress out. I had my EC this Friday and was shaking like a leaf. When I wake up from sedation I couldn’t believe it was all done. I felt nothing, slept all the way through. Plus they got me into theatre on the bed, with knickers on and covered with blanket. Then I remember nothing. So it helped me a lot, nothing embarrassing. They did it all when I was asleep. Unless you not being sedated.. then I don’t know. But I am sure u gonna be ok 😘

Minster2012 · 15/10/2017 22:11

Aliona I said that to DH! I want to catch up on MN chat! It's like being 15 again 😁

Aliona19 · 15/10/2017 22:22

Minster2012 Yep 😂 I am originally not from uk and internet was pretty expensive but who cared. Speaking to some Superman, falling in love and then arranging for a picture and get the shock of your life 😂😂 I used to be Amazonka 😆 god I am scared think what our kids generation will be up to

Minster2012 · 15/10/2017 22:25

In some ways it's fab, in others it's very VERY scary!!

Aliona19 · 15/10/2017 22:40

Also does anyone know when to expect period after egg retrieval?! Like a week or two?

Atikakck · 16/10/2017 01:01
