Hi Ladies! Finally I will have my first IVF treatment as soon as my next cycle starts which I expect it to be more or less end of September/beginning of October. My periods are very irregular so I never know exactly. My consultant suggested antagonist protocol which I will receive in post soon. I am extremely excited but then realistic about the fact that it might not be successful first time.

How are you feeling ladies? When are you due to start your Ivf Journey? Fingers crossed for all of us fighters;-)

Hey everyone. EC done. Felt good in hospital. Half way though in the car on the way home felt unwell. Fainted and then cold sweat hot flush and started vomiting, so sudden. Lasted about 5 min and then was ok. Laying down, have loads of pains down my bum for whatever reason 😀 don’t know what they been up to while i was asleep. TMI but I pee a little in hospital, home for 3,5 hours, drunk 2 teas 2 massive glasses of water and nothing..is it normal?

Super job on the wait scotslass. Everything crossed for you. Xxx

Evening ladies!

Atik to answer your questions, hanim is the very proud owner on here of a BFP on first time I believe? And we've had a BFN too Sad. For you FET question I'm doing FET to my friend for surrogacy through NHS & I don't know if it's clinic specific as our embryos were graded as grade 4 which is what they have as the highest grade with no fragmentation. We don't have any of the letters or anything that others get or +/- . They said both of ours were that grade but one was 10 cell & one 11 cell & they would discuss with us the week of FET which to thaw in the first instance so yeah you effectively get the choice but of course it's on their recommendation I don't have a clue!

harry 8 eggs is great, it's so nerve wracking waiting for the calls! Did they say what time they will call- ours called at 8.30 so at least it was out of the way!

aliona it was probably the effect of the drugs at the hospital keeping the pain away then a rush of pain that made you nauseous, hope you feel better now Flowers

Minster2012 · 13/10/2017 20:40

And welcome jamon hello!!

Aliona19 · 13/10/2017 20:46

Minster2012 thank you ❤️ Feeling bit better. Just happy I don’t remember anything, last memory of chatting to a guy that was taking me to theatre. Still on the bed covered with blanket. Whatever happened next is a mystery 😀

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 20:47

Evening all!

Aliona I had exactly the same with the faint and barf. Half way home, just after I’d drank half a McDonald’s milkshake (god knows why I thought that was a good idea). I think it was a combo of low blood sugar and low blood pressure. On the peeing, it might just be that your bladder is a bit irritated? Mine went the opposite way and I needed to pee every 10 min. Hope you’re feeling ok now!!

Minster it’s me going to be testing alone!! Well actually not now as it happens, as the electrician is coming at 8 that day now lol. I might be better going to work... Or should I test the night before???? I know it’s super naughty.

Sunshine How are you doing pet? Hope you’re ok. So lovely that you’re still around. Been thinking of you!

Will check the next page and write to others!!

Atikakck · 13/10/2017 20:56

Monday going to go need ask them for blood test to check if my immune system is okay But a dnt know if they guna do it. Cz ano if a ask ma doctor which "help" us with invitro he will say dat a dnt need....

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 21:08

Elizabeth that’s so rotten, I’m so sorry this happened to you!! I’m so glad you got two embryos. Hope they’re looking after you in hospital and you’re feeling better very soon.

Filip that’s great news about 8 fertilised! I got 9 fertilised out of 24 eggs, so 8 out of 13 is ace :)

Ditto Goodluck that’s awesome!! I had 2 blasts in the end. No idea what quality they were but was told they were “really nice”?!

Harry yay to EC!! Hope you’re feeling ok?

And welcome to Jamon!! Have you got your dates yet or are you waiting for tests and stuff?

Atik they’ll know which were the best embryos when they froze them. So they’ll always go with the one that gives you the best chance. There’s no save the best to last!

Minster2012 · 13/10/2017 21:12

Oh no dinks sorry for getting mixed up! Just test the night before- it's not going to change the result is it!! We are definitely going to test on the 9th Nov as my DH is away on the 10th and because there's me & my friend & her whole family involved we will be driving to hers that night to do it (obviously she will be doing the test!) so that could be bang on 2 weeks if they do the transfer on the planned day if the first embryo is ok, or if the first one does not survive the thaw it will be the day before the 2weeks is up. But we figure what difference is 7 hours sleep gonna make?!

If I were you I know what we would would do, and it would not involve the electrician!! Grin

atik I doubt cold sores make a difference, they were probably to do with the hormones

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 21:15

Atik There’s no proven link between miscarriage and herpes. I think 75% of people have the herpes virus, so it’s very common. Sadly so is miscarriage :( The miscarriage rate after IVF is slightly lower I think, but still around 20%. I’m not sure immune tests would help I’m afraid.

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 21:20

Haha minster you’re totally right about the 7 hours, and the electrician!! Although I’ve just remembered I’m working in the flipping London flipping office on Tuesday and won’t be back til flipping late. Flip. Late night tests are meant to be unreliable aren’t they? Something about concentration of the hormones later at night? I could just tell the electrician to come another day but ohh nooo that would be the sensible option!!

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 21:26

In other news, my bloating has returned times ten. My stomach is rock hard and sticking out, I’ve gained 11cm round my waist overnight. My stomach muscles are so, so sore, I think from being stretched. I can’t stand up straight, can’t sit normally... I’m not huge amounts of pain though, and I’m not nauseous, no headaches... so it can’t be OHSS can it? Just bloated from progesterone I guess?

Has anyone else had this? I’m now 9 days after ET. I would have thought the OHSS risk would have passed... if it is the progesterone, I think I’m going to have to do something different because I can’t go to work like this :(

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 21:33

Oh and Scots!! How could I forget!! Soooo much luck for testing tomorrow!!! Will be thinking of you

Minster2012 · 13/10/2017 22:12

Dinks I have to say, if I were you, bloated like that, feeling like that, 9 days after, I'm afraid I have to be very honest with you, I'd get the electrician round early & be testing tomorrow morning just to know if it was because I were pregnant.....but that's just me only waiting our full wait cos we have a family party in the way!!

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 22:26

Lol minster don’t tempt me!! I’ve got no other symptoms though... I’m too scared to get a false positive, as my trigger wasn’t that long ago :/

I might call the clinic in the morning and ask one of the nurses. In the meantime I’ll just be envious of the Wine and go to bed with my very rock and roll peppermint tea and hot water bottle Grin

dinksandbinks · 13/10/2017 22:27

P.s. lol at the electrician

Minster2012 · 13/10/2017 22:32

I know, I'm sorry, I shouldn't joke about Wine, I would give anything to swap places though rest assured. And I shouldn't make you think about symptoms!! Just made me chuckle!!

dinksandbinks · 14/10/2017 08:11

Oh minster don’t worry I know you would!! And it make me chuckle too :) Nice to have a giggle!!

How is everyone today?

Scots Got everything crossed for you today!!

Filipinam · 14/10/2017 08:33

I am quite constipated!!!! I think it's because of the progesterone!Obviously! Any advice on how to tackle constipation?food, good constipation tablets drinks?

Thank you!!!;-)
