IVF Cycle Buddies August/September?

meadowlark3 · 02/08/2017 19:21

Anyone starting a cycle this month? I know there's a July/August thread, but seems that they've mostly all started on their cycles. I'm due to start DR tomorrow and if all goes well will have EC at the beginning of September.

Have not shared our IVF journey with too many people in IRL so would love to have a bit of company here. This will be our first go at IVF, so quite nervous at the mo!

Thank you girls. I'm shell shocked. I can't actually believe it.
Fox it's all quite surreal ah!

Xx

Fox23 · 14/10/2017 13:14

It is surreal, and it will be for awhile, but it's all so exciting, right?
How's your DH?

Bbyg81 · 14/10/2017 14:21

Thanks Ging & Bbyg x

Scotslass01 · 14/10/2017 16:20

Fox how far on would I be classed as at this point? How many weeks? X

Fox23 · 14/10/2017 16:56

I believe 4 weeks by now, see, nearly there! 😆 Honestly, that shocked me when I found out how it's calculated. On Monday I will be 7 weeks.
I have now bought...day by day pregnancy book, pregnancy diary and pregnancy app diary.... see, that's how I'm making it seem more real... to be honest, it doesn't feel real yet. I even calculated due date lol

Scotslass01 · 14/10/2017 19:15

Haha that's mental. I also fine a due date calculator. I'll need to download a wee app. I've walked about in a daze all day. X

Scotslass01 · 15/10/2017 21:57

Fox how are you? Are you still bloated. I have never felt bloating like it.
I done another test this morning just to be sure ha! X

Fox23 · 16/10/2017 06:11

Hi Scots,
Yes, same here, bloating seems to linger for awhile. I dont even eat that much, but have gone at least size up. And I'm still drinking lots of water, so that may contribute bloating.
I think in total I did 8 or 9 tests lol
On Saturday I noticed a one off little brown spotting (only on the tissue) and then yesterday the same again. My stomach muscles feel like I've done serious workout today, accompanied by cramps. Am worried... emailed clinic yesterday, hopefully they can see me sooner rather than later.
Honestly, don't know what to think, realist in me says- it's possibly over, optimist says- it's totally normal, you'll be fine.

Scotslass01 · 16/10/2017 06:39

Morning Fox, I'm finding I only need to eat a wee bit and I feel totally stuffed. My jeans are most definitely snug on me.
Oh no really? Can it not just be the changes going on making you feel that way? Your uterus is going through major changes. Thinking of you. Let me know how you are getting on x

Scottishgirl85 · 16/10/2017 06:46

Hi Fox, sorry for thread jumping. I had brown blood at 6+1 and clinic immediately upped my progesterone pessaries. If you're out/at work etc today make sure to take your pessaries with you. I had to add a lunchtime dose to my schedule. Try not to worry, a bit of brown blood is very common x

Scottishgirl85 · 16/10/2017 06:52

Also, I arranged a scan in epu at nhs hospital the following day for peace of mind. It meant I no longer needed my private scan I had booked for 6+5. Hope you hear from your clinic soon x

Scotslass01 · 16/10/2017 06:58

Hi Scottishgirl, my progesterone stopped the day of my test. I'm starting to worry now as seems your both taking it much longer. I only got a bfp on Saturday. I'm really crampy.

Fox23 · 16/10/2017 08:49

I have been on 3 pessaries per day since ET, so don't think they will amend dose. I feel lot better today, less crams and no pains. Boobs still hurt, which is good I suppose as symptoms are still there. will see, not much I can do anyway, except wait and see. This waiting never seem to stop!

Scottishgirl85 · 16/10/2017 10:12

Scot, every protocol is different don't worry. Your clinic will do what is best for you. I was on 800mg daily, upped to 1000mg after minor brown spotting at 6+1. I'm now weaning off and will be medication free by next weekend at 13 weeks.
Fox, great news you're feeling good. Fingers crossed for you, it's so common and I'm sure you'll be fine x

Fox23 · 16/10/2017 10:39

Oh that's such a relief Scotsgirl, I know that only scan will identify if all is ok or not, but sounds like you had the same, so there is a hope 😁

Scotslass01 · 16/10/2017 12:00

I was at the doctor this morning. She has taken a blood test and I'm booked in for another one on Wednesday so she can monitor the HGC levels and see if they are increasing as they should. She was concerned about the level of cramping I'm experiencing.

Scottishgirl That all sounds fabby. Congrats. You must be so relieved to get past the 12weeks.

Fox thank goodness you feel better today I'm so glad.

This is such a horrible emotional rollercoaster.

X

Fox23 · 16/10/2017 19:46

Evening ladies, this afternoon I had a phone call from clinic and they assured me that it's all normal. Then I finished phone call, stood up and felt it... ran to the toilet and there it was... blood, lot more than before... so I emailed right back, got another call and have been booked in for blood test tomorrow morning. Bleeding has stopped since and was red only for few min, then went brownish. All in all, not even 1/4 pad filled. Next challenge.. get through the night!

Scottishgirl85 · 16/10/2017 19:53

Thinking of you fox, got everything crossed. If you're over six weeks you could get a scan. Either at your clinic or early pregnancy unit at nhs hospital. Is this not an option? x

Fox23 · 16/10/2017 20:44

I have my 8 week scan booked for Monday already. Don't know... I guess I just want to know. It's our 8 year wedding anniversary this weekend so I don't want to be in dark about the result. I'm sure they know what they think is best for me.
Thanks for support 🙂

Scotslass01 · 16/10/2017 21:11

Sending you lots of hugs Fox. I have everything crossed for you. Can they not bring your scan forward? X

Scotslass01 · 17/10/2017 16:12

How are you Fox??? X

Fox23 · 17/10/2017 16:24

Just head back from hospital and somehow all I got was voicemail! I was watching my phone like hawk all day... and missed it. Anyway, message was- results are good but we would like to see you for a scan tomorrow... what do you think?
