IVF Cycle Buddies August/September?

Anyone starting a cycle this month? I know there's a July/August thread, but seems that they've mostly all started on their cycles. I'm due to start DR tomorrow and if all goes well will have EC at the beginning of September.

Have not shared our IVF journey with too many people in IRL so would love to have a bit of company here. This will be our first go at IVF, so quite nervous at the mo!

How is everyone.
Well I had a rubbish night. Horrendous cramps. Paracetamol did not touch it. Also wee stabbing pains. Its not much better this morning either to be honest 😫

Scots, sorry you're so sore! I was not that uncomfortable afterwards! My clinic actually said if paracetamol didn't help, to ring their advice line, as it might be a sign of OHSS.

Fox, thrilled for your BFP-don't think for a minute you don't deserve it! Especially after all of those years TTC! The fact is its just a numbers game, so for those of us who weren't lucky this go, we may well be next time. Enjoy this and sending you loads of good thoughts!

Serendipity, glad your OH will be back soon and you can chat about next steps. Gutted for you that this round wasn't successful.

Bby, good luck with your transfer. I tried to remind myself that the clinics are the experts so have good reason for recommending 3 or 5 day transfer. Loads of ladies here have healthy babies from 3 day transfers! Fingers crossed for you!

AFM, period has come and gone and been back at work for a few days. Still feeling a bit low but glad we have two frozens to try with later. Will have a few months break And honestly looking forward to a bit of time away from the stress and worry of injections and appointments. Or at least I am telling myself that anyway! Xx

So hospital called they going to do day 5 transfer which I'm pleased about as from what I read it a better so booked in for Monday morning for ET fingers crossed 🤞🏽 all goes well

Meadow - a wee break then onwards and upwards to try again. Keep your chin up hunny. We are alway here for you.

Fox - don't be daft we are all delighted for you. It's the success stories that give us all hope.

Hospital called. 5 of the 6 eggs they retrieved were mature eggs. 3 of the 5 eggs have fertilised. So good news. We just need to hope those 3 keep progressing. All good so far.
Do you all think 3 is a good number??

Scots- yepeee, big day on Wednesday. I was in the same amount of pain, and limited food intake really helped me, but yes, I was in alottttt of pain as well. Mine really stopped few days before transfer. And 3 is good, as long as they have one goods one to put back in.... that's all you need. It's good to have a back up, and you will have some.

Meadow- I'm glad you are getting back to normal. Will you try again this year or next year? Maybe you need stress free holiday period, before returning to this quest. You have done remarkably well 🌻

Bbyg- 5 day sounds fab! Are you nervous?

Me and DH came back from Tesco shopping. spent fortune in getting advised foods and decaf drinks. I so need to rethink my healthy diet. It's like new science that I knew nothing about. And just an update- it still hasn't sunk in 😳

Hey Fox I am yes but your story keeps my faith as this is my first cycle too. Did you eat anything particularly when waiting in ET or after ? I'm already on decaf and taking my vitamins but any advice would be much appreciated xxx

Bbyg- I really didn't do anything special. I did eat a lot of avocado as apparently that helps. But other than that, I just lot lucky.
Today as we were driving out of Tesco, we stopped to let little girl across crossing, and she smiled and was so polite and lovely, as she waived thanks... I welled up! My emotions are really out of control lol
Apparently morning sickness is usually starting around now.... eeek.... hope I skip that

Fox - brutal! I'm so flaming uncomfortable still and totally constipated which is not helping. Eeeeeek. It's all in a good cause.
Started the pessaries today as well. Was ok.

How's you feeling about everything have you got your head round the lovely news?

I'm nervous and excited all rolled into one. I have booked a fertility massage tomorrow at 1240. Have been reading lots of positive things about it so thought what the hell I'll give it a go.
Bloating has gone down a bit and getting mild cramps now and again. Today is the first day I've done anything really as thought felt up to it. So came with my OH to get a birthday present for his Dad but I feel rubbish. I've had to sit down my lower back is really sore 😫

Evening everyone sorry been asleep most of the day so yes went this morning had 1 put in today and 2 they are freezing so all good the ET was so easy nothing to it and no pain yesaa not like the EC I even got a picture did you get one Fox ? Come home and slept but I feel good slight cramp but nothing causing pain so time to wait I'm back to test on 11th it can't come quick enough xx

Bbyg yeah hot water bottle is a godsend. Glad today went well. Wow the 11th will be here before you know it. Is it a blood test you are getting?

Bbyg- congratulations! Now it's all done! I'm so glad you have two Frosties! And 11th will unfortunately feel like years away... at least I felt like days are dragging and time has slowed down. And I caved in just a day early, and the line was so faint that I know only day earlier it wouldn't be there yet. Please, try to resist..

I have just about starting to accept the reality of being pregnant. And my boobs are killing me! Same as yours girls- they have grown and they hurt 😭 fingers crossed for you both!!!!

Morning Fox thank you for your advise I will try and resist and yes it has time is standing still yes the photo is strange to look. Iv been feeling strange in my belly like lil cramps is that normal what did you feel like before ?

I don't believe cramps are indication yet, I think it's just your body still adjusting after all it has gone through. Cramps are good sign day 8-10 after EC, i.e day 3-5 for you. And I did have that. I didn't get any spotting as some do. Just keep warm and fingers crossed, as not much you can do now.
