IVF Cycle Buddies August/September?

Anyone starting a cycle this month? I know there's a July/August thread, but seems that they've mostly all started on their cycles. I'm due to start DR tomorrow and if all goes well will have EC at the beginning of September.

Have not shared our IVF journey with too many people in IRL so would love to have a bit of company here. This will be our first go at IVF, so quite nervous at the mo!

Congrats scotslass01 so pleased for you we are around the same place so at least I can share with you going through same steps again feeling abit anxious but at same time excited how are you feeling g so far , what are you doing to prepare hopefully not googling like me lol xx

Yay it'll be good to have a wee companion through the next stage.
I'm the same. Excited and anxious all at once. I have been trying not to google that much but is so difficult not to.

Well I'm out, got my period this morning. Shattered but holding it together until I'm done with work.

Awww Meadow I am so sorry. What a way to find out. I'm gutted for you. Can you not leave work early?

Oh meadows 😔 Sorry. And you're working today too! That's so hard. I've taken some days off to cry and get over my period. Starting to feel more normal today.

Meadowlark I've read somewhere that even if you bleed you should still test as directed and that it may still be OK. Did you speak to your clinic?xxx

Meadow! I'm so so sorry! I feel your pain, as we so on the same schedule! Please test anyway, you never know.... I'm so gutted 😔 I'm lost for words...

Oh meadows - that is absolutely brutal. So gutted for you :( Have you spoken to the clinic? I thought the progesterone was supposed to stop your period. Will keep my fingers crossed that it isnt what you think it is. Big hugs xxx

Meadow - very very sorry to hear - did you manage to speak to your clinic? I agree you should still test too - I've heard that sometimes some bleeding can still happen? xxx

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I haven't spoken to the clinic yet, they were quite clear in their instructions to continue progesterone until official test day. I'm quite sure I will have a negative test as had a massive period yesterday, cramps, heavy bleeding, etc. but will keep going with the progesterone until tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is getting on alright. Fox, you test tomorrow, how are you feeling?

I'm totally deflated. Was back for another scan today and they measured fewer follicles and measured a couple smaller. What's going on! Is that possible???

Sorry about your scan but I've no idea, did the sonographer say anything? I recall one of the ladies earlier saying her sonographer poked too hard and it made the follicles collapse a bit. Did they book you for trigger and EC? Xx

Meadow- you are totally entitled to be in a state. The last couple of months has been hard going, then to be utterly disappointed with the not working. I just don't know what to say. It's awful. My heart really goes out to you 😘

Auch I asked her why the difference and she didn't really answer.
I'm waiting to hear today if I have to trigger tonight or if I have to go back tomorrow for another scan.

Afternoon everyone so I did my trigger last night and booked for EC at 8.30 tomorrow morning now I'm feeling shaky about it all unsure what to expect? But fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Scots- fingers crossed for you! Friday is just around the corner! So exciting! When I had my final scan before collection they said I had 9 follicles and only one big, others 16-18 and then they collected 16 eggs! Sometimes I'm not sure if they know what they are looking for! Where did 16 come from? 🤔

So, me... my test is tomorrow, but I thought... if I do test in the morning regardless of the outcome I'll be going to work she'll shocked. So, I caved in and bough pregancy test. Just did it, after drinking 4l of water. My dh even asked if I should considering the level of hormone may be very diluted. I did it anyway. It was negative. My DH gave me the biggest hug, I had a good cry... and then 5min later I looked at the test and there was very VERY faint line!!!! Now I wish I didn't do the test, as it's so faint that I'm still not sure. Any ideas? Today is my 10dp5dt.

Fox, I think that you're not supposed to read the test if it's been exposed longer than the instruction packet say (10 minutes or so?), but a second line is a second line! I think you should defo wait for tomorrow and do another first thing, hopefully will be clearer and stronger then! Will be sending you looads of good thoughts!

Me - I’m up and down. No symptoms. Had a really busy couple of days which makes it much easier as Ive been distracted. I’m rubbish when I have too much time to think. My other half and I have been talking about next steps if it doesn’t work. We are debating using donor eggs if this round doesn’t work. We were going to do that before but changed our minds last minute and gave it a go with mine. Fingers crossed for this round🤞🏼

Thank you Meadow, that's exactly what I will do. I ordered some spare from amazon (digital) so I don't have to try to translate faint lines) I still can't get over your AF. I'm so shocked☹️ Will you relax for few months before going back for FET?

It's been tough. I feel broken inside. Trying to look forward to the frozen cycle in 2 months. We're seeing our consultant next wed. I've researched a new acupuncturist as I didn't like the one I used the recently. Onwards and upwards I reckon. This time we'll tell no one. We upset too many people this time.

Morning ladies, really couldn't sleep due to the test this morning and I ended up doing two tests (just to be sure)... It's Positive!!!!!
