Hi Smile

I noticed there's a IVF thread for March/April and now June - but no May.

My egg collection is scheduled week commencing the 15th May. On my next period (due around 3rd April) I have to go down for my bloods.
Anyone else?

Atika yes I'll test at home and then they get me in for a scan if it it positive...

Broody fab news on the embryos! We are only a day apart Smile do you know what your OTD would be - my sheet says 16 days after transfer - seems really long?!

Lux I tried decaf this morning and nothing. Planning on adding apple juice and apricots to the mix haha. I'm sorry your SIL has been so insensitive Sad I think some people panic and not sure what is best to say - my mum often tells me to just relax. But I know what you mean about it not being strange!! Great way to make us feel even more shit about ourselves. Especially how lonely it can be! The irritability is likely from the drugs - don't count yourself out yet!

Atikakck · 22/05/2017 11:17

Maplebaby - u had FET? Today is my 6th day past 5day blast hatching frozen transfer so shall a do my test on De Tuesday or wendsday or when? Awww so scared that a won't hv 2nd line

broodynmoody · 22/05/2017 18:09

maple i have no idea when my OTD is, im assuming they'll tell me Wednesday when i go in for the transfer. I thought with a blast you can take a test 11 days after, though people do get positives as early as 9 days after transfer. ..and i gave in and bought some lactolose and feel much better for itSmile

blackcherries · 22/05/2017 18:19

Maple 16 days after transfer seems v long, are you sure? Mine was 11 days after 5 day transfer last time, so 16 days in total from EC. If I'd tested later I wouldn't have known I had a chemical preg. I was tempted to test before too, but it was a Saturday so left it till then... I think it depends on what you feel like you can think about...

maplebaby · 22/05/2017 18:20

Atika no it's my first fresh cycle

Broody I might do the same - can you just pick it up in boots? I'll check again tomorrow with them when I can test, thought 16 days sounded long!!

blackcherries · 22/05/2017 18:22

Think lactulose is over the counter but you don't need prescription. It's fine to take for as long as you like.

tickingcl0ck · 22/05/2017 19:17

going to try and go thru the list

lux sorry you had to go thru that. People sometimes need to realise that silence alone is comfort and they need to listen. This journey is lonely enough as it is and its scary as there's so many conflicting information out there that you begin to second guess yourself. I'm impressed you kept your cool. I probably would have bit her head off. I hope you're feeling better

maple im happy for you! The lemon and warm water in morning and at night helped with the constipation but this is after I took a laxative a day after EC. Didn't make the bloating go down but I surely didnt feel that blocked up anymore. You and broody might even have the same ET day if it ends up on Wednesday. Good luck!

karen I hope you get more information on Friday when you have the polyp removed and when you can possibly start your cycle.

broody not long now! One more milestone to reach! Was telling maple you and her might even be ET sisters.

atika welcome! We're all scared but hopeful so you're not alone. Anyone going through IVF is brave and courageous because we put ourselves thru so much in order to have a child

blackcherries youre having your FET tomorrow right? Best of luck!

AFM i've been testing since day 6 post ET and that was a negative which I wanted to see if the HCG trigger shot would still be detectable. Day 7, had a very faint second line, then Day 8 second line was a bit more obvious and now Day 9 the second line is getting darker. I'm just going to keep testing until Friday. We're not out of the woods yet, so many things can happen still.

Atikakck · 22/05/2017 19:41

Ticking - awwwww lucky you, soooo happy for u, hope ur bby stick nicely xxx

A shud due my period tomorrow, so if am not pregnant a guna start tomorrow? Or first a need stop my medication?

Ash75454 · 22/05/2017 19:43

Broody great news we're now transfer date buddies.

Lux one of the reasons we've told hardly anyone we are going through it. Some people really don't think before they speak! Fingers all crossed here.

tickingcl0ck · 22/05/2017 20:01

ahh i think i confused blackcherries with ash..sorry my bad

79Karen · 22/05/2017 20:27

ticking that's so exciting, I hope that line gets darker and darker. I'm enjoying hearing everyone's progress even though I'm not now cycling for may and probably not June either! I was hoping that I might be able to start taking the pill again straight after the op on Friday but Mother Nature had other ideas today. I only finished my last pill yesterday too. Maybe we'all be able to try naturally after the polyp removal but I'm not sure i'll ovulate coming straight off the pill?

broodynmoody · 22/05/2017 20:45

Ash oh so its me, you and maple for transfer on Wednesday? We'll get each other through the 2 ww!

maplebaby · 22/05/2017 20:59

Ticking congratulations!!! So thrilled for you! Wishing you a very uneventful 9 months - hope the little bean is snuggling in!

Atika I think you should probably do a test and let the clinic know before coming off any medication.

Karen I'm sure it's possible to ovulate after the pill - my friend didnt have a period after the pill as she got pregnant straight away - if only it was that easy!

I'm hoping transfer for tomorrow so I'll just be one day ahead of you broody and ash! We can keep each other sane!

Luxnuova · 22/05/2017 22:13

ticking that's so exciting. Am thrilled for you. What a wonderful first result.

Hey ash, hope you and DH are doing okay with job situation and there are some prospects on the horizon. Good luck for transfer. And same to you broody and maple!

Thanks for all your understanding comments about SIL. Yes, next time I think maybe we will keep it all much closer to our chests. Tricky as we are quite involved in each other's lives with childcare, etc. And am an eternal optimist. But it's too painful dealing with the obliviousness.

Still pretty down. Had a massive cry to DH last night. Boobs have deflated, bloat going and I have the moodiness and emotional stuff I always feel prior to AF. My breasts were really tender just after EC but now normal. Only silver lining is I feel like I'm getting though the disappointment prior to OTD. Onwards and upwards I guess.will be cherrier tomorrow.

Atikakck · 23/05/2017 08:28

7th day after transfer nd cn c 2nd line 😍

IVF in May/JUNE 2017..cycle buddies!
moggle · 23/05/2017 08:48

Ahhhh Atika that is so exciting! Congratulations! When's your official test date?
Ticking Eep exciting!!!!! I was almost tempted to test every day this time, thought it might make disappointment easier to bear, but forgot about doing it!
Lux... argh... but that could be nothing - the trigger will have had side effects that'll now be wearing off, including the bloating? And I've got just as emotional leading up to the cycles that I got a BFP on as the ones I got BFN. Hang in there xxx

Good luck maple for today, and Ash and Broody for tomorrow!

I've just got progesterone side effects really, I've never managed to identify a particular symptom that identified a bfp rather than progesterone. Boobs are bigger, feeling a bit bloated, bowels a stinky mess!! DD has been keeping me very distracted which is great! She's over the worst of her pox now so is just generally annoyed at being kept at home. Still not back at nursery today, hopefully tomorrow. Roll on Friday (test day).

Atikakck · 23/05/2017 09:18

Moggle - ma blood test shud b on Friday BT a dnt hv no1 to take me, ma hubby cumin bk on Saturday evening so Doctor sed come on Monday, a hope this two lines stick like dat xxxx

Gd luck to every1xxx

tickingcl0ck · 23/05/2017 13:17

karen i know a few people who have suddenly gotten pregnant right after the pill. They weren't expecting it to happen so soon but it did. You never know :)

maple ahh thank you! but i'm well aware of other pitfalls so Im just taking it a day at a time. I dont think I'll be satisfied until the ultrasound. any news? did you get to have ET today? Hope you're okay

lux when I think about it, I was telling my DH a few days after ET that I didnt think it was working because my boobs weren't that sore and my bloating went down too. I was worried as I wasn't cramping or anything. It ain't over until the fat lady sings. As moogle says, hang in there!

atika congratulations! Hope it keeps getting darker!

moggle glad your DD is getting better. Gosh your will must be strong. I was driving myself insane. 3 more days til test date for you! Roll on Friday!

Blueberry1 · 23/05/2017 14:12

Hi Ladies, may I join? I'm due to start my first round of IVF later this week (tablets start on 26th). Am 41 and TTC for over a year with no result. We've gone for 2 cycles paid up front with PGS. If that doesn't work then I promised DP that's it (his view was "let's try naturally and if it works great, if it doesn't oh well", so persuading him to give IVF a go took time).

@NotSusan - the only people who know we're going to try IVF are my Mum and one close friend of mine, who went through fertility problems herself. Don't think DP has told anyone, although I said I didn't mind if he told his Mum and/or brother. He's OK that my Mum & friend know, but happy it doesn't go further. Some others e.g my brother, one of my aunts & a handful of my friends knew we were TTC last year, but nothing has happened, so they're discrete enough not to probe.

I am worried about many things! Including how awful the drugs will be for the egg collection, whether I respond well, if enough embryos can be made & then if at least some are screened and found good enough for transfer.

chivintassle · 23/05/2017 14:21

Just catching up! Lots happening!
Great news for ticking and atika exciting times 😀
lux how are you feeling today? Hopefully a bit better? Sorry your SIL is insensitive, not ideal. You did good to sit quietly!! Sending you positive thoughts and loads of cake!!
maple are you in for ET today?? Good luck and thinking of you 🍀
broody and ash you set for tomorrow? How are they looking, fingers crossed and good luck 🍀
moggle your test date is Friday right? Are you going to test early?
karen I can imagine how hard it is, it'll be worth it in the end!
blackcherries how you feeling?

Sorry if missed anything

AFM feeling not much... just wish there was a way you could see how they do once onboard! I'm not feeling confident.
Well the clinic called and we got a frosty. It made it to Blasto and they froze it this morning (day 6) she did remind me that it may have fertilised abnormally as they only saw one nuclei, but maybe they just didn't see it as it made it to day 6...

Is anyone here at ARGC? I know I shouldn't but been looking at next steps. I'm 39 and want to hit it hard whilst hopefully still can...

maplebaby · 23/05/2017 15:01

Lux don't lose hope yet, you still have a chance - it's so brutal as we become so aware of symptoms / lack of when fertiles wouldn't know half the time.

Atika that is fab news! Hope it's a sticky one!

Moggle I'm bloated too! And so gassy! Glad the little one is recovering!

Welcome blueberry! It is such an anxious time, there is always something to worry about. I hope it works out for you!

Chivin I hate how this all sucks any positivity out of you. I've become such a negative person! Fingers crossed for you and great you got a Frostie!

AFM I am now PUPO with 2 embryos on board! I was really surprised actually that they recommended 2 - one was top quality (AA) and the other was less so (B+) which was why? Anyway we went with their recommendation! And I was right my OTD is in 16 days so 8th June!

moggle · 23/05/2017 15:28

Eek maple congratulations!! I've just looked back at your history on the first page of the thread - I am kind of surprised they put back two! Ours wouldn't have! Especially with an AA available. How exciting though!! Adds a bit of extra excitement / trepidation to everything! Our clinic says they can't always tell at the early scan whether it's 1 or 2.

chivin good news that you got one to freeze. Not at ARGC here I'm afraid.

hi blueberry!! I did notice that there is a june thread as well, in case this thread tails off a bit, as i think many of us are heading towards embryo transfer or in the two week wait already. Good luck with everything. I hope you don't need both cycles!

maplebaby · 23/05/2017 16:01

Thanks moggle I have to say when they said they recommended 2 I was surprised as they even mentioned my age saying I was young but for some reason thats what both the embryologist and doc thought was best so I went with it! Feels weird as I don't physically feel different but feel different as I know I have them on board.

We may have one to freeze but they were a little on the slow side so looking at them again tomorrow.

Also the prunes and all bran seem to have done the trick and now I'm worried I've pooped out the embryos (I know that's silly haha! But hope I haven't dislodged them in anyway!).

moggle · 23/05/2017 16:38

Aw they will be fine. The first time, our consultant described it as "a mustard seed in the middle of a jam sandwich". Basically you can shake that jam sandwich as much as you want but that mustard seed is not going to move!

chivintassle · 23/05/2017 16:39

Ha ha ha maple I think we all had the same thought whether ate prunes or wished they'd eaten prunes! Great they put 2 in! I was supposed to get 2 but alas they weren't sure the second one would make it and they try to put at least one in, and there's a chance they would have had none to put in had they kept them both going.
