Supposed to be starting stimming today providing I got all clear from clinic regarding blood test they took yesterday.

Nurse has just rang me to say that instead my consultant wants to see me regarding the results of my blood test. I have to go to Guys tomorrow afternoon.

This isn't good is it? Nurse wouldn't tell me what is wrong apart from saying it might be something to do with hormones? I have low amh and I'm now terrified they are going to tell me they won't treat me.

So sick of this shit. I've been waiting months to start this treatment due to irregular cycles etc. I finally thought I was getting somewhere. I'm in absolute bits nowSad

Has anyone recommended this site?:
fertility.treatmentabroad.com. There was a programme on radio 4 I think (though maybe I read it on MN) about the efficiency and low cost in (for example) Hungary. Good
Luck to you!

I'm OK thank you Londonjam still feel a bit numb, but I'm coping.

Just trying to decide what to do next really in between feeling furious with Guys. I spoke to Serum Clinic day before yesterday. They said with a amh of 1.7 and follicle count of 3 it's far more likely that the fsh of 45 will be accurate and previous one of 4 is a blip. They also said that Guys really should have taken that into and retested it. So angry that they let me continue prepping for this cycle for six bloody months and then dealt me this body blow at last minute. Also furious that they didn't take my massively irregular cycles seriously. I mentioned it enough times. Did NOBODY at any point think they might point to me being peri menopausal?? They just shrugged it off like it didn't matter!

Anyway, Serum have suggested it could be possible to perhaps attempt s natural cycle before moving onto ED. They've said as it stands I'm likely to have nothing to show from standard ivfSad To be honest though my ovulation is so erratic that I'm not sure that's even feasible? Dp and I are really starting to lean towards going straight to ED. We haven't got money to throw at things that probably won't work and I just want a bloody baby!

Going to get fsh retested after next period though (whenever that may beHmm) I've also made an appointment for private second opinion next month.

I just wish we weren't so poor. Sucks that your options are so limited by finance.

lazycrazyhazy Thank you for the link. We are definitely going abroad for any treatment. Most likely to Serum clinic.

I'm really sorry to read your about your financial position mummy. It's Very heartbreaking. I think it's hilarious when all my friends say "you can just do more IVF" like it's no big deal and I'm swimming in a sea of endless cash Hmm

Could you set up a Go Fund Me page or something similar to raise some of the money needed from friends and family? I'd happily donate xx

You're very kind AgainPlease I really appreciate it.

Luckily I am coming into a small inheritance this year. It's not much, but enough for a couple of rounds abroad. It's knowing where to allocate it that's the problem. Doing own egg ivf leaves less for DE if that doesn't work first time. If only we all had working crystal balls we could use.

Totally with you on the "just try another round" People just don't realise how much this treatment costs.
