Hello,

Is anyone else about to start a cycle?
I start down regulating on Sunday, estimated embryo transfer week beginning 21st Nov, this will be my first round of IVF/ICSI after 3.5 years trying to concieve.

Mixture of emotions, excited to be starting after waiting so long to get here, nervous about side effects of drugs and injecting and terrified it wont work! The joys of infertility!

custard thank you. I had very light symptoms which I think was the pessaries, but now even those disappeared.

I just went to the loo and saw brown discharge. It's been stark white the whole time before. I guess AF is coming soon ..... I feel depleted and just want to go home and curl up

Sorry I don't know what I'm writing half the time. I'm bleeding at the moment, yes they wanted to do a scan while I'm bleeding coz when they scanned me last week they said there was a cyst which should go once I start bleeding but today's scan suggested that it has gone a bit smaller but that's it so she doesn't want me to start the injections yet. She said take the pill for two weeks and then she will re scan me, if the cyst is still there we need to wait, if it's gone then we can proceed. So it all depends on what happens next. I don't know what I can to get rid of the cyst.

ekam ur test day is Sunday right? Try not to worry just yet, it could be the beginning of something so just wait until it's a definite no, I know that's hard and I'm a hypocrite so thinking of u during this time xx

Blue I bet you're relieved to be starting stims now! It took a while to get used to the menopur injections but after a few days it's like second nature!!

Custard I'm glad you're responding to the drugs now, and that you have a scan Friday? Is that a follicle count?

Ekam everything crossed for you for the 6th, hopefully no symptoms doesn't mean bad news?!

Well I'm on day 8 today. And went for a second follicle scan this morning.
My follie on the right that was 6mm on Monday is now 10mm, and my 2 on the left that were 7mm are now 12mm so a little progress!
The nurse doesn't want me to lower my dosage, she wants me to stay on 6 ampoules of menopur powder (I was supposed to be lowering to 4 ampoules on Monday!)
My final scan should have been Friday, ready for egg collection on Monday but she wants me to carry on with the drugs over the weekend, have a rescan on Monday ready for EC hopefully on Wednesday 9th.
Fingers crossed follies!
My OH also surprised me with a fertility bracelet gift today, quite thoughtful I thought!!
The beads are supposed to represent healing and fulfilment and the Angel wing charm & world are to represent 'new life'
It's pretty anyway! Even if it is a load of tosh.

Good news on those growers. Glad they've kept you at the same doSe, means they're confident it's going ok.

liberte I don't know much about cysts, so excuse of it's a silly Q. Can they not remove via surgery? So it's permanently out the equation?

hobbes I've been feeling pukey for the last couple of days and I'm the same day in on the same pills so I reckon it is that. My boobs are super tender too. All the pregnancy symptoms but definitely not pregnant 😕

Glass. Thank you, I thought it was lovely of him. He's been a diamond during this process to be fair, it's his journey as much as it is mine!
Though it's not him going through the scans and stabs, he's been mixing my injections every night, buying me gifts when I'm down and brings me a hot water bottle and hot chocolate for when the soaps are on! Pretty lucky really..
Yes cmon now little follies, the nurse showed me them on the scan today, it was weird seeing them on screen!
Yes I have another blood test and scan on Friday.

kez they printed my ultrasound of them being transferred in. You can't see the embryos, only the glue that surrounds them, but it's still a memento to have, regardless of how things turn out!

Kez yes my scan on Friday will be a follicle count, bit nervous to see how I've responded. It sounds good that yours are growing and that's a lovely present from your DH.

Custard bet it's exciting to have a scan date now to see how your follies are doing.

Fluffy - I had convinced myself it was the pills as the queasiness coincided with spotting starting (do you have that too?) which I was a bit worried about as it's mid cycle - but nurse said that was normal, but queasiness wasn't so common... anyway, I started to feel really awful and have been in bed for last 36 hours as (apologies for tmi) but had the shivers and the runs too... so I am now pretty sure it's a bug! Feeling a lot better now, just hungry. Hope you are feeling ok now too? X

Kez lovely bracelet. Good luck tomorrow too! It's great that the clinic are adjusting your dose and dates based on how you're responding to get the optimum conditions.

Liberte hopefully the cyst will go away by itself, they usually do. I had one when I was doing fertility investigations and it was gone by the next scan. I know the waiting isn't easy though.

fluffy hope the side effects pass soon, though I expect that as soon as they do you'll be about to stop taking it!

to everyone else I've missed (sorry I can't scroll back on my phone to see any older messages)

AFM I've booked tomorrow off for a spot of R&R, as I'm trying to control the stress and anxiety. I have a blood test on Saturday to see if I'm responding to the stims and on standby for scans next week. I have a lot of bruising from 3 different injections every morning, and as each one needs to be prepared differently, I can't do them half asleep anymore.

So tonight I'm getting really bad period pains. They feel 'familiar' - like what I get on Day 1 of my period, only lower down.

I know, I know - they could be implantation pains, that it's to be expected, and I need to wait until Tuesday to know for sure.

But...I've a feeling in the next 24 hours, this is going to come crashing down around me.

Had a big conference at work today and struggled to get through it with feeling sick and temperature all over the place. Still unsure if it's the pills or just coincidence.

Fingers are crossed for everyone. It's a wonder we're all still sane.

glass hope everything will go well for us. I have period cramps today, too. Not massive, just this really dull pain. However the spotting has stopped. I don't even know what's happening anymore.

I also have this on and off sharp pain on my lower abdoment, kinda like when I was on stims. I just hope it's not an ectopic one. If this persists I might have to call the clinic and come in for a scan just to be sure.

Evening ladies.
So I'm on day 10 of stims, I have a scan and blood test tomorrow morning. And today is the worst I've felt during the whole process.
Achey back, stomach pains (not just bloating) sore boobs & a lot of (TMI SORRY!!!!) white sticky discharge - I haven't had any of these symptoms yet so hopefully it means my follies are doing some serious growing in there!!!

EC ladies..
Just had my info pack ready for EC on Wednesday. It says to remove all jewellery.
Will these mean my tongue piercing bar?
As once the bar is out, it closes up after 20 minutes. (Previous experience already been there!)
Will I have to say goodbye to my tongue bar???

Had my scan this morning and I have 11 good sized follicles (between 13-15mm) 7 on one and 4 on the other. I have another scan on Mon but looking at Wed for EC, it's all starting to get a bit real!

Kez I can't help with the toung bar question sorry, think my clinic has diffent rules I'm pretty sure I had my wedding ring on last time.

I also had my day 11 scan and bloods this morning. I have 6 good follicles between 13-15.5mm so I'm on another 3 days of injections with my final scan on Monday.
EC is Wednesday for me too!
And thanks for that, I will have to ask on Monday if I'm about to lose my tongue piercing!

kez ask, but you should be fine if you can keep your mouth shut! I still wore my wedding rings, they just taped them over. I think it's partially for security, partially for hygiene.
