Anyone just starting a cycle or about to?

I've just got the dates through for my first FET to TTC#2. My first LO is 18 months and was made with the help of ICSI and IVF. I start down regulating in a few weeks.

I've already gone through various emotions and I know there are a lot more to come! Anxiety and indecision wondering how I will cope with a second child if we're that lucky and the possible age gap. Sadness that my clinic told me I had to wean DD1 from the breast. Guilt at thinking about another and no longer 100% about her. (Especially if I weaned her and it doesn't work). Stupid thoughts that led me to test without telling DH when my second postpartum period (after weaning) didn't show on time (only spotting, false hope that it was implantation bleed. It's nearly impossible for us to conceive naturally though. AF came this weekend so here I am). Scared that it won't work. The stats are lower for FET and we only have 2 frosties.

The first injection will be at the end of a family holiday. I probably won't be drinking but don't really want to tell them why not yet. Despite all this I am excited too!

Anyone want to join me as cycle buddies?

Fcuk, sorry you are so emotional still... Today I have been more ragey but I think that was because I was at work and it was noisy and I just wanted calm and relaxation for my follicles to grow in... argh!

Kez it does feel real when the drugs arrive doesn't it?! Although I looked at them for a lot longer than I have been getting through them... Finished second pen tonight only 6 days in!

Ok I am having to do this in several parts as my phone clearly can't cope!

Hi goodthings, how was injection tonight? Right side for you wasn't it? Mine was left but central so not as bad! Just hoping its working! How you feeling symptoms wise? Really hope doing ok!!!

I know Elles, not long to go at all!! Although I am pacing myself, it's not like I'm going to leave the appointment pregnant . But fingers x for treatment (I'm expecting more tests tbh..). Back is still sore though, had more physio at lunchtime, and will have another session tomorrow... I don't need this!!

Elle's- left side is still so painful but right side again tonight. Had awful headache for last 3 days been trying to drink lots of water but can't shift it. How you getting on with stimms? When is next scan?

AF is late and got scan on Tuesday will this slow me down starting stimms?

I am a bit down today though no real reason (hormones, waiting around, no one IRL to confide in properly). Thank you for the reminder Tata, we are strong and determined and I can get through this!

Goodthings, sorry you're getting headaches. My AF was late and I did need to postpone the scan. It came in the end. Wasn't stimming this time but I think it might delay things if you have to DR longer, sorry to bring bad news :( hopefully it'll turn up for you before Tues!

and thanks, Tata, for the thoughts on sharing with friends. There are quite a few who know DD was IVF and that I am considering treatment again. I'm just cautious to go into detail over what stage I'm at now, when ET is etc. The main one I'm considering telling more to I think would be as you said - not intruding/asking too much unless I volunteer it first. We sometimes see things differently though so I'm not sure she'd know the right things to say. And I worry that the non IF community might get too carried away after a BFP when it would still be early days. We'll see!

Well after saying I was skipping POAS week, I caved and got suckered by a particularly evil evap line. Me and hubs were utterly delighted until today when AF arrived. If I'm completely honest I hate every second of this whole trying thing. I'm ready to just be pregnant now, and I haven't even been through half of what you ladies have....hats off to you all, you're all a hell of a lot stronger than I am! I am counting down to 3/10 now and praying the dr comes up with a better suggestion than Clomid or IUI. Xx

Goodthings - poor you that sounds rough :( Water was the only thing that would shift mine - and sleep. Tomorrow is my scan - eek! My downreg period was later by a few days but my down reg scan wasn't for another week after so it worked out fine - I googled it lots and basically some people just need longer to down reg. I still had a bit of blood that should have shed (TMI SORRY!) but lining was thin enough so was fine. Hope it comes soon x

Hellomist -sorry you are down. I think the enormity of it all can suddenly hit and then all the worries come flooding in. Stay strong. You are so strong to have done it before and to be doing it again. x

FCUK - I got my hopes up reading your message then carried on and thought :( So sorry that happened to you - was really hoping you would have a happy outcome. Let's hope October is a positive month for us all!x

Mist sorry you were feeling low, I hope you're better now? You ARE so strong and brave and you can absolutely do this - proof is, you've done it before!!
I completely get your point re friends meaning well but not saying the right things... and it happens, it's a tough one, but personally, I'm still glad I have a couple of IRL friends to talk to - one is pregnant with her 2nd and the other one just broke up, so we're in very different spaces, but just being listened makes me feel better.

Fcuk, I couldn't agree more, this whole thing is already getting on my nerves and you're one step ahead of me. This is one hell of a lesson on patience and resilience...

AFM, had scan today - and had 13 follicles!!!!!!!!!! Of those there were about 8 potentials. One 17mm, one 18mm so she said those may well go over weekend but 5/6 which will hopefully have grown for Monday! So going back Monday for another scan then fingers x can be booked in for EC!
Was just so frightened that I wouldn't respond that am happy with that!

Well AF has shown up this afternoon but not like a usual one and lots of cramps but they did say not to expect a usual one. Just hope I'm not bleeding for scan on Tuesday !

Ahh that's good news!!!! Mine was really light and only lasted couple of days... I am pretty sure that as long as you have had it that is the main thing, they just need to know you have shed your lining. All a step closer my lovely! How have you been feeling otherwise? Xxx

Took myself off to Holland and Barrett today and am now armed with all kinds of supplements to hopefully give me a bit of a boost before this next appointment.

Quick q...have any of you ladies researched ICSI? A doctor friend of mine recommends it highly as apparently has a better success rate than other treatment xx

I love H&B! I use Healthspan quite a bit too, they usually have good deals plus they are always sending me vouchers!

We were told we would only have ICSI if there were fertilisation issues (they gave the example that if husband wasn't v well, motility might not be as great) I think it costs more too boo!!!!

As I said I don't start my injections and baseline scan till the 25th October. So just keeping very busy at work and around the house and the weeks will soon tick by!

Really hoping I can start stimms on Tuesday as these headaches are everyday and pretty bad now (suppose it doesn't help that I had to stop migraine tablets before too)!
