WANTED - Anyone in, or about to start 2ww post IVF/FET?

Currently going insane on 2WW post FET. Today is 3dp5dt. First transfer after a difficult time with unreponsive thin lining. No idea what to expect. Looking for cycle buddies to share this time with...

Agreed. It's just ridiculously unfair.
My bleeding has stopped but I've old brown blood when I wipe. Just like I have before a period. OTD not till wed- but we've already marked ourselves out due to the bleed.
It's not easy getting the money for a fresh cycle- but we will. Only our first, so not willing to give up yet. We've only 1 frostie, and I know they don't always defrost well- so hoping they will be happy for a fresh cycle. Going to ask for 2 to be transferred this time too.

Blondes- have they done all the immunity testing etc?

The bleeding is shit but some do bleed while preg. Have you tested milk. Sure you have but just checking

Yes had all immunes tested. We end abroad after 2 failed fresh here and tbh the things they tested for and asked us was so different from uk. And also the after care treatment - yes they still failed but gave me more hope

I was told that a fet is defrosted well is just as good if not better then a fresh as they survive the thawing if that makes sense

I would use your frozen first then think about another fresh and yes you are like me and you will find the money but it's hard going when work hard , save and spend thousands and it fails

But what other choice - was this NHS or private? X

Private. I'm too old and fat for nhs.
I'm nervous about the prep for a fet then finding out transfer day that it didn't defrost well- so spending all that money and having time off work for no reason.
We are using a clinical 2 hours away due to its success rates, so I end up having to take a lot of time off work. Means I won't be having any A/L this year for down time at all.

Tbh a fet is so much simpler then a fresh cycle. No injections 😃😃😃

No need to take time off work apart from one day which is transfer day - find a clinic that scans you locally

Rough guide on day 1 of period you start taking progynova - increase dose 4th day then around 12-13 you have a scan to check lining. If ok then they arrange fet a week later on day 20 - think on day 17 you start inserting pessaries and then carry on till testing day - you won't bleed tho as on medication

I got so excited as Hasnt bleed by day 12 of 2ww and previously both uk I bleed day 11 so when failed was heartbroken and sobbed hysterically at doctors as sooooooo convinced I was preg as hasnt bled - wasn't told I wouldn't bleed iyswim

What price have your clinic given for fet? Def do that first before spending another £5/6k on fresh

Abroad is much cheaper then uk if you do fresh again - even with flights think was £3.5k

We fly to MADRID and back in a day so a 2hr drive is definitely easier

Thanks blondes. I'm only younger by 3 years, and put on a fair bit of weight recently.

It's a 2 hours drive there, 2 hours back- plus scans etc can take an hour by the time it's been done and you've seen nurse. So I do need to take days off.

No jabs would be fab. Hate them and DH can't do them- useless with medical stuff, though he was going to put it in my eye he was shaking so badly .

Which clinic do you use Madrid?

Milk. Ivi in Madrid. I chose it as several of the ladies I've worked for via a maternity nurse chose it - they researched many and have money and I thought if it's good enough for you and Obv they had sucess's (that I looked after their newborn babies) then I would try them

Sorry meant a fet you wouldn't need lots of time off work. Hence try that first and Obv cheaper

Literally the day of transfer is all you need a day off for with a fet

Google clinic near you that do scans - I found 5 near me. The one we use for all scans is 10 mins drive so the times I've had a fet literally took less then hour for travel scan and return home

Obv a fresh cycle you get scanned think 5 times to check eggs and lining

It's her 1st bub and all others failed and were on the UK, she has just had her 20 week scan and is a simular age.

What made her chose there freckles? They seem to have a good success rate / tho as I said 2 of mine have failed with them

Tested this morning, as couldn't take the misery until Wednesday. Got a BFP! Wasn't expecting that at all. Called clinic who said it didn't mean anything unless done on Wednesday and with their test. So am I or aren't I? Taken the wind out my sail completely. I'd tested 3 days ago and got a negative.

Blonde her consultant in the UK suggested them, unsure of other details. I have everything crossed for you xx

Drink that's really positive and great news, just sit tight till Wednesday and test then, easier said than done I know xxx

Tested few days early which I never do and negative :( will test again when meant to but kinda know I'm not iyswim

Don't know why I did as still need to test later and all the other 4 I've done on the day and been a no - so why did I test early 🙄

milk that's fab. If was negative before and now bfp I would say you are preg - blessing doesn't always mean a failure

Yes, it's just a wee cheap one. I used a clear blue this morning which I feel is quite reliable.

If you can afford the time and money and emotional energy I can't recommend the woking nuffield highly enough. Their live birth stats were quite impressive compared to other clinics.

My clinic gave me a test but was a cheap one too which I used and then it bloody failed to work, typical! Luckily I had bough a digital clearblue one the night before so that I could see it in words rather than trying to guess if a line was there or not

Fucking hell. i have a thin line.i don't believe it. I've never had this - maybe weeing and testing at 3am isn't a good idea tho is first wee of the day like clinic asked

DF is omg. He said he thought I was as was moaning about sore boobs the other day. I rem the nightie I was wearing was tight on my boobs and felt sore and in the middle of the night I got up and changed nightie. I've never done that.

I have my 1st scan booked in with my clinic on the 10th August, not one to ever wish my life away but I need the next 2 weeks to hurry the hell up

I'm freaking out now as my clear blue said 1-2 weeks, which would be correct saying as transfer wasn't until 11 days ago. I'm going to have to keep checking till it goes up in weeks lol.
How many eggs were transferred blondes?
Freckles- is it your viability scan next week? I've got mine on the 12th August.

I'm already planning on doing the same thing Drink, want to test again on Sat a week after my BFP to see if it goes up, DH says that's a waste of money

Ok. Still in shock. Thanks freckles. Spoke to clinic. Apparently I am 5w tomorrow and due March 30th. Really not sure how they've got this date as fet was 12th and as Havnt had a period for a while as on medication for ages beforehand - but if that's what they say ....... I have a scan booked for Monday. Gulps

Clinic happy to do 2 but I didn't want risk of twins at my age tho do love them. So each fet I've always had one transfered

Tho 2nd fresh cycle I had 3 tho was couple years younger and dr said triplets or no baby and we both said put 3 in.
