Currently going insane on 2WW post FET. Today is 3dp5dt. First transfer after a difficult time with unreponsive thin lining. No idea what to expect. Looking for cycle buddies to share this time with...

Hi there! Currently going a bit mental, 3dp3dt. It's a lot of pressure as we only had 1 egg fertilise out of 15, so if this doesn't work it's square 1 again Shock

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 05/07/2016 13:34

Hi Bear! Is this your first round? Did the clinic give you a reason only one fertilised? Was it IVF or ICSI?

Bear2014 · 05/07/2016 13:44

Hi Hedgehog! It's my first fresh IVF. My partner and I have a daughter who I carried but was made from her eggs (5 day transfer 3 years ago). I have no known fertility issues so I had a natural IUI in Feb, same sperm donor, and fell pregnant but MC at 10 weeks. The clinic suggested for cost effectiveness that we try IVF next, as sperm is £950 a pop and because I'm nearly 36. Sadly it hasn't quite gone to plan. They didn't offer any explanation but said if there is a next time they would do ICSI. We have some blastocysts leftover from 3 years ago as a backup to this cycle. We were keen to use my eggs for our second child but I'm prepared to let that go after this.

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 05/07/2016 14:03

Well, as many have said, it only takes one! So hopefully your little embryo has dug in deep and will result in a BFP. Fingers and toes crossed for you!

There are lots of reasons for a poor fertilisation rate, make sure you get the clinic to give you as much detail as they have, since if you decide to have another go it's best to be armed with as much info as possible.

When's test day? Do you POAS or wait for bloods?

Bear2014 · 05/07/2016 14:54

Thank you. Best of luck with your transfer tomorrow! X

Bear2014 · 05/07/2016 14:54

I pee on a stick 15th July Shock

NotSpartacus · 05/07/2016 19:38

Hedgehog we transferred 2 blasts. I'm 40 and have had a few miscarriages (and we didn't do PGS) so it was a no brainer really.

Not sure what is going on with me, basically the progesterone is making me crazy. I've been crying on and off since lunchtime. I'm a corporate lawyer, and this is not acceptable!

No idea when I will test. Perhaps I should so it now while I am miserable anyway, but then I'd rather wait a couple of days and get a more reliable result. Until the weeping started, I was quite enjoying pretending to be pregnant...

Bear2014 · 05/07/2016 20:37

Spartacus, progesterone is evil!! I forgot how vile it is, 1 week in and I'm all over the shop. Sympathies!!

NotSpartacus · 06/07/2016 07:33

Bear as long as you didn't cry in your annual appraisal (yes, really) you're ok!

I keep reading these blogs by American women about their 2ww. None of them seem to go to work while waiting. Wish I could do that too.

Am now 8dp5dt so I could test but honestly who needs the sadness. I will be picking up more drugs at the clinic tomorrow (as am on hols next week over OTD) so I guess I should test before then Shock

Bear2014 · 06/07/2016 08:18

Haha oh dear! I was off Monday and Tuesday but glad to be going back today. Too much time with my thoughts. I don't know how anyone justifies having 2 weeks off - that's excessive.

NotSpartacus · 06/07/2016 18:37

I don't suppose anyone is feeling very wet in the downstairs department? I'm hoping it is some novel pregnancy symptom I haven't experienced before, but it's more likely to be what 3 doses of Crinone per day does ...

Hopeful16 · 06/07/2016 19:20

I was using progesterone pessaries so just felt generally gross in that department!

NotSpartacus · 07/07/2016 08:57

Tested today (9dp5dt) and bfn. A bit disappointed - I've been feeling so shit I thought I was in with a shot. Oh well...

Bear2014 · 07/07/2016 09:20

Spartacus - don't write yourself off yet! I tested with my DD at 12/13 days past 5dt and it was only a very faint BFP.

DRSLondon · 07/07/2016 13:38

Hi ladies.
My otd is July 12th. But I really don't think it's worked. I have absolutely no symptoms and a gut feeling. I also have a cold, bad throat and ear ache so feeling v sorry for myself.
This is my 5th transfer.
1st - BFP but lost the baby at 21 weeks
2nd - BFP- DS born 2015 ❤
3rd - bfn
4th - bfn
Going out of my mind 😭
Good luck everyone!

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 11/07/2016 21:52

Hi DRS! Best of luck, try to stay positive - it's crap having a cold at the same time as all this, I've been coughing away like crazy. I'm 5dp5dt, 2nd go.

Bear2014 · 12/07/2016 16:44

I'm such an idiot, tested early today at 10dp3dt. Very much BFN. Am I out of the game??! Feels pretty hopeless, I had strong early positives with both my pregnancies. I also lifted and carried my 2-year-old a lot today, thinking it was all over, which may have been a bad idea.

Bear2014 · 12/07/2016 16:45

Good luck DRS!!

NotSpartacus · 12/07/2016 20:31

I ended up having a blood test at 11dp5dt which was negative so that was me out. Although my clinic likes you to wait until 16 days past 5 day transfer I simply don't believe that it is medically possible to get a negative beta at that point and still have a viable pregnancy, and my clinic couldn't provide any data to the contrary. So I have stopped the drugs and have started bleeding. Not sure what we do now. Maybe PGS. Good luck, everyone.

Bear2014 · 13/07/2016 09:00

Sorry Spartacus :o( Yes my clinic make you wait for 2 weeks regardless of what treatment you have which I find strange, so IUI or a 5 day transfer, which is a week's difference! I had a strong positive 12 days after my IUI so I know I am out 11 days past 3 day transfer. 16 days is 21 days past ovulation!?

I'm going to hassle the clinic now about when I can have my FET.

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 14/07/2016 09:18

I tested today (8dp5dt) and got a very faint line - does that mean it's positive? I'm so worried! Confused

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 14/07/2016 09:19

Oh Spartacus I'm really sorry Sad Look after yourself.

Bear2014 · 14/07/2016 09:21

Hedgehog - yes!! That's amazing news, congratulations. Test again tomorrow, it will be much more visible. A line is a line and still early days so it would be faint.

lotsoffreckles · 14/07/2016 19:08

Hi ladies, another one on the horrid 2WW journey. Im on 2dp5dt

Im on my 3rd go, 1st cycle was abruptly stopped due to over stimulation resulting in a 5 day hospital stay which took me a long time to recover from and unfortunately only 3 eggs were suitable for freezing. Transfer of 2 of these a year later unfortunately resulted in a BFN.

It took me a long time to build up the courage to go through this cycle, I never wanted to be that poorly again but here Iam.

Due to a lot of work from an amazing team no over stimulation, we got 15 eggs, 10 that fertilised, 6 that got to balsto at top quality Smile

So here Iam on the wait , Im so nervous, my clinic also insisted on 1 went back as Im only 31 and the quality of our eggs were so good.

Test is a week Sat, we will have my step children so either way I'll be concealing tears.....

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 14/07/2016 19:33

Hi freckles, welcome! Looks like the odds are in your favour - 50% chance of pregnancy this time, and you've got your frozen blastocysts as backup. Try not to test too early, I did and was convinced I wasn't pregnant so had 2 glasses of wine in my misery - then the next morning BFP! Grin
