Anyone had or having ivf in Czech Republic?

We are on cycle 13 of ttc#1 and starting to looking into options for ivf. I have low AMH and dh has low motility. Nhs is not really an option at the moment as the waiting list is 14 months here. We've looked into going privately in the UK and would be looking at paying around £7k for 2 rounds of ivf withi icsi including meds which we can't really afford.
I started researching clinics abroad yesterday and the Czech Republic has had a lot of good reviews. They have lots of clinics in Prague and some others just outside. I have been looking at one in particular called Reprofit which has better success rates than the UK and would come to around £2500 for one round including all meds, flights and accommodation.

They give you a prescription for meds which you start taking at home and also have a couple of scans here and then you go out to Czech for about 10 days for egg collection and transfer.

Just wondering if anyone has done this or thinking about it?

@IPokeBadgers I can recommend the Facebook group for Reprofit in Czech. I am actually here in Czech now for initial consultation (can do over Skype but we wanted to see the clinic and Brno first)

IPokeBadgers · 16/10/2018 21:16

Thanks @Pumpkin. Will look it up. Hope your consultation goes well....maybe you can share your thoughts when you've had a chance to mull things over. Take care x

I am planning for IVF in Prague right now. I haven’t chosen a clinic yet, but I feel very good about Prague. A woman I know went to Reprofit (which is a train ride from Prague), and she no has a healthy 6-month old baby! I have also joined a Facebook group called IVF Support Prague, and it is very active. Several woman with success in that community.

I just joined this site this morning. DH and I have been ttc for 12+ years. I'm 37, with PCOS. Just had a 2nd unsuccessful round of iui and I think we need to begins to look into ivf. I'm amazed to read about ivf tourism and I'm intrigued. I would love to ask some questions or just read conversation in the Facebook group for Reprofit. Will anyone add me?

I recommend you join the group IVF Support Prague. You don’t need to be added by a member, and it’s a very helpful site where people discuss all the clinics in Prague, not just Reprofit.

I’m currently sat here with my 5 week old baby having undergone unsuccessful treatments in the uk. We had one failed attempt with reprofit and my beautiful baby is as a result of our second attempt over there with a frozen embryo. Wishing you all the best of luck !!! I can’t recommend the clinic highly enough.

Hello Everyone! I just found this group here and reading through all the comments my heart is so warm!! I have literally been crying all day today. have had the 7th IUI failed and just so frustrated. So just started doing some more research as I have a feeling some of the things are not done properly or with enough care here (I am from Canada). I am 36 years old. Me and my husband based on what our doctor says are both healthy and have no fertility issue. They call it "un-explained infertility". Our next step is IVF and we get one cycle of IVF founded by government in Canada. But after that it is quit expensive and honestly I have not much faith in the clinics here... They just act like robots, never explain much,, charge for a lot of money and our life has been totally upside down causing 10 times more stress as we both run our own businesses. We are considering to visit a fertility clinic in Czech Republic. Any clinics that you would recommend? and also would you be able to add me to that private group? I feel very lonely and it would be great to share and get information about others experiences... Thank you!!

Hi All , I am looking for Donor egg Ivf after struggle on failed IVF in NHS , I am taking treatment with reprofit and just received an email about medication protocol inclusive of one injection which need to be adminster by doctor , I am struggling to get the medicine and the injection in UK, don’t know whether to approach GP for this , I will be grateful if some one can share there experience and advice.

Barcelo18 · 10/03/2019 05:49

I also had failed ivf in the uk at my local hospital and then went out to reprofit for egg donor ivf which worked on the frozen cycle (hope this gives you some hope), I had the injections administered by my local ivf clinic where I had the failed attempts at the hospital. I paid them a one off fee as the consultants often work privately too. I think it was about £500 and then had the injections, scans, blood tests following the positive test etc done there. Fingers crossed for you and if you have any questions please let me know x

WillHappenSoon · 12/03/2019 16:34

@Barcelo18 - congratulations on your pregnancy!! positive stories are a reservoir of hope, especially on testing days!!

I am also going to Reprofit for DE ivf. May I ask please, which injections needs to be administered by a doctor?

At the moment, I have sent off Blood Type results and my DH's Semen Analysis report. We are yet to have our phone consultation. I had to abandon an OE cycle in the UK because we didn't have any surviving embryos, but I had been prescribed Prontagestt Injections which I never ended up using - these were to be administered by a third person. I wonder if it is these that Reprofit suggest be administered by a doctor? thank you

Good luck with your cycle @Khakra

Barcelo18 · 12/03/2019 16:51

Hello @willhappensoon. I had to have a diphereline depot injection administered by a professional x

WillHappenSoon · 13/03/2019 22:02

thanks @Barcelo18 xx
